We stayed here as we passed through for our annual trip up the coast. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hotel was a very good value. They also had many options for breakfast. Having stayed here on two other occasions with great results we chose this location again. Once again awesome stay. During check in we were offered cookies and lemonade which made the car trip not seem as long. Rooms have been updated, spotless and comfortable. We stayed two nights and needed to switch rooms after the first night because our first one smelled like mildew. Plus there was hair all over the bathroom (not cleaned well at all). The bathroom was very small - no counter space. Definitely the least favorite of our 6 different hotels on this vacation.

The front desk worker was having difficulty registering guests, because his password had expired, and he realized this at 11:30 pm. Therefore, I was one of 4 sets of people who was having difficulty checking in. He eventually manually checked us in, at the insistance of people in our line. The next morning, the same worker was still complaining to the […] new front desk worker at 7:30 am that he didn't have a password and still couldn't complete our check in. Breakfast had a good selection, but again, the breakfast worker was grouchy and became flustered every time someone asked a question. Room was clean and minimal - fine for travel. We arrived earlier than check in time and were happy to learn that one of our two rooms were ready so we unloaded some of our luggage, went and had lunch nearby. It was very handy to have so many choices nearby. The pool was great for the kids and towels were provided poolside. There is no jacuzzi. My husband and two older children were playing with […] a hotel beachball in the pool and after about an hour of that they ended up with slightly scraped feet because the bottom of the pool was rough. We enjoyed taking some popcorn back to room to munch on in the afternoon. One of our rooms had a small fridge and microwave so if you're in need of those check whether your room will have them. We took advantage of the continental breakfast, which served us well. I was hoping there was a waffle machine though. The only complaint we had was the pillows were too high and we woke up with neck aches and backaches. Since each bed had 4 pillows on them it would make sense to have thicker and thinner pillows - 2 of each. Visit Cabellas which is on Maine Mall Road, south of the hotel. Read more

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very small for 2 adults and 2 teen boys. No hair dryer. Booked this hotel hoping to be within a safe walking distance to Maine mall. The Fairfield is in a great location, close to the Maine Mall. The staff were helpful, they give day passes for a gym down the street and the breakfast is well stocked. We would stay again!
