Sugar was once king in Hilo. Now, the town is known for its bay, shops, and farmers market that teems with exotic fruit. Swaying hips abound at Hilo’s Merrie Monarch Festival, a week-long hula contest held after Easter. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is nearby. There, Kilauea is the hottest attraction as one of the world’s most active volcanoes. At its helm is Pele, the Hawaiian volcano goddess.see all hotels in Hilo
"Spectacular view of the Waterfall"
Very peaceful. The sound of the waterfall and the other night sounds made for a very restful night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Internet did not work for two days we were there. Not sure if they really had internet? Would not stay there, far from civilization.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tranquil setting 5 miles from Hilo!"
Enjoy the soothing sounds of a 100 foot waterfall from the comfort of your well-appointed, Asian-themed room. Fresh papaya, pineapple, Kona coffee and cooked-to-order macadamia nut waffles that rival the best you've tasted. Morning swims in the 300' wide, 50' deep pool below the waterfall were very refreshing. Wifi access made communications with the […] Mainland a breeze. Hope to return to The Inn soon! Unbelievably beautiful..... and, I am a local so I have seen a lot of beautiful places. I love that they use the falls to generate electricity. They use an electric car. The coffee was made with sweet rainwater and we had scrambled eggs, tomato and basil from the garden and macadamia nut waffles! The have a tiny bit of their own paradise that they have […] shared with us. Many thanks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful, serene location. Great place to stay if you want to be away from the hussle and bussle. Have breakfast on the balcony with the beautiful waterfall backdrop. Staff was very curteous and welcoming.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gem in the Forest."
Wow! Tucked up a mountain side with a waterfall lulling me to sleep. Seems like it is in a remote location, but minutes from Hilo! Breakfast, too. The Chef was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable regarding the island.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
