"Long time user, first time rater"
I have always taken negative comments left by others with a grain of salt. I figured they were being dramatic. I had to leave a comment about this hotel because our room was awful. Our room was non smoking but reaked like cigarette smoke. The scent was overwhelming. There was a puddle in our room. Yes a puddle in the entry way of our room. There was […] no toilet paper dowel. Around three O'Clock in the morning there was yelling right outside of our window and my wife was woken up in the middle of the night by the people in the next room. "don't waste your money"

"Only if absolutely necessary"
Stayed here for two nights while taking the NY Bar exam. The hotel was really disgusting - run-down and dirty, and it smelled terrible (a mixture of cigarette smoke and urine in my room). The housekeeping barely touched my room after the first night and didn't restock any toiletries or coffee. If my mind wasn't on the exam, I would have said something […] to the management. But at that point, all I needed was a place to sleep for a few hours each night. On the bright side, it is directly across the street from a Barnes and Noble, which is where I spent the evenings. "Really bad hotel"
When we checked in, the room had some weird stale smell. The toilet bowl was not clean at all and it always took a couple of flushes to take away the solid matter in the toilet. The refrigerator in the room was not working, and when I asked at the front desk about it, the lady just plainly told me they can't do anything about it. "dirty dumpy hotel"
This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I was in Albany because my mother was in the hospital. Every night I would come home to a dirty bathroom and smoke filled halls. There was red scum in the toilet and hairs in the shower. The sheets were not changed. Stains on one of the pillows. The small refrig didn't work. A/C was sporadic. […] One day there was NO change of towels and I was given rags for wash cloths. Seriously the worst hotel ever! Even though I spoke to the front desk several times NOTHING was done. Asked to be specifically not located near smokers, or chemicals, and my room was two doors down from the laundry, and cleaning room, and the side entrance was where smokers go out, and come back into smoke. "Disgusting Cheap Motel"
We picked this "Inn and Suites" for its reasonable price as all other hotels raised their rates for the weekend and had the expectation that it would be simple inn - nothing fancy. What we found was a cheap motel that was so dirty, I couldn't get myself to sit, let alone lay, on the bed. The bathroom had hair and dirty towels from prior guests, stains […] all along the sink etc. I would say that the night attendant was extremely gracious and helpful when getting us our room - it was the only positive thing I have to say about this cheap nasty motel. "Travelodge - Bad and Good"
I was confused when I read the reviews on this hotel. Most of the reviews were very positive, but there were a few that were really bad. Now I know why. The first two nights at the hotel were terrible. We were in the back quarter of the hotel. When we walked into the hallway the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. We asked for a non-smoking room […] and received a non-smoking room in the smoking area. Our room smelled awful. I found out later the hotel does allow pets in certain rooms - hence the smell. When I complained about the smell I was given a bottle of spray and told to spray the room. The room was not clean. We asked several times to be moved to a new room. We were finally moved to a new room on our last night.and it was in a different area of the hotel. The difference was night and day. It was like were had gone to another hotel. "Dreadful"
This hotel is a joke. The room was dusty and not cleaned. There was noise all night long so I couldn't sleep. Other people banging doors all night and talking very loudly no one seemed to stop them. The hotel was not at all clean, dirty corridor carpets, the room had unpleasant smell. The towels seemed old and discoloured and there was no shuttle to and from airport. It actually worked out to be far more expensive than had i booked something in Albany itself.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
