The rooms are very clean and roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in had two double beds and a hideaway. I was kind of disappointing that they weren't queen beds as I am a large guy. Having two TVs was nice since we were traveling with our children. "Hotel needs to better manage youth groups"
We chose to stay at the Springhill Suites because it was fairly close to where we were in the Seattle area, and it was affordable. It's located in a suburban business park which means it's usually more of a business oriented hotel, and on weekends usually a bit quieter. About a year ago we stayed at the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn and had a pleasant […] experience there. Unfortunately, our trip at the Springhill Suites was marred by a large youth basketball group that decided they had the run of the hotel. Noisy, inconsiderate, and you couldn't get away from them. While my eight year old son was swimming in the pool a group of them decided to jump into the pool...I had my son get out because they were too rough in the water. While I was relaxing in the hot tub, they decided to take over the hot tub and play in it...so much for a relaxing evening. In the morning they had the entire lobby. While checking out, another guest was in arms because the hotel ignored her room request and put her right next to one of the rooms with the loud youth group. The hotel clearly knew it had a large group, and should have been more direct in demanding that those responsible for the rooms kept the kids under control. Clearly the guest experience isn't key for the Springhill Suites and next time we're in Seattle - we will be staying elsewhere. (The Hilton Garden Inn, possibly.) "Springhill Suites--Renton"
Nice hotel. Pool is a little small and therefore crowded, but we were also there during a days-long power outage in the surrounding area, and lots of families stayed at the hotel for some heat and light. Normally, it's probably not a problem. Breakfast was good--standard cereal, toaster, yogurt and fruit, as well as scrambled eggs and sausage. My sister […] flew in to SeaTac on our departure day, and she used the free shuttle to meet us at the hotel. They gave us a late checkout until she arrived. This was a great place to stay. We have family in Seattle and this was a little out of the way, however only took about 15 mintues to get to Seattle. The price was excellent. The room had a sink, mini fridge, and coffee machine. There was a desk, couch, small chair and a TV that you could see from the 'living room" or bedroom. We really enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Springhill Suites. The one disappointment was the pool. It was only open the first night, then closed for a renovation. We didn't know until check-in. The hotel itself was great!! The only problem we had was with the shuttle from the airport at 10:00 PM. First, we called and got a girl that put us on hold while she was on the other line (boyfriend?). She never came back. "Hotel OK"
Hotel was clean but the beds and pillows were not comfortable. We booked the room for a family of 4 for 3 nights but room only had 3 sets of towels. The rooms were very spacious, and adjacent rooms are connected by a (usually looked) door - since we traveled as a party of 4 and got 2 adjacent rooms, this was very nice.
