The hotel was exactly as described. My children looked forward to swimming every day. The breakfast was good. The afternoon meals did not follow the calendar but were convenient. There was no chain restaurants nearby. Shuttle can take you to Dulles airport where you can ride Metro bus to Metro station. Expect to pay $6 cash for each person each way […] for rhe bus. "Excellent experience - surpassed expectations"
My family & I stayed at Homewood Suites Dulles North for 9 nights in July. Everything was impressive. The breakfast was very complete, including scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, varied breads, waffles, hot oatmeal w/ toppings, yogurt, fruit, etc. all in a fairly spacious room. Dinner served M-Th included salad, main dish, side, & wine/beer/soft drinks, or […] tea. The dinner hostess was sweet & very helpful. The free shuttle we utilized almost daily was surprisingly efficient (more so leaving from the hotel - very prompt, than pickup for return to hotel - not always prompt). The outdoor & indoor pools were lots of fun. The staff was helpful throughout our stay with requests for more pans for the kitchen, or tongs for a BBQ at the pool, or change for the laundry, etc. A Moe's Mexican food place & a 5 Guys burger are next door for weekend days when dinner isn't served. The only downside to us of this hotel is the time it took us to travel into Washington D.C. utilizing the hotel shuttle & the airport bus. The hotel is about a 20-30 min. drive to the West Falls Church metro, which is about 20-30 min. from central Washington D.C. If you don't have a car, the hotel shuttle to the airport bus into Washington will take you between 75 min. - 120 min. depending on smooth connections & rush hour. As for the hotel itself, we couldn't have been happier with the suite room, full kitchen, wi-fi connection, bed comfort, food quality, service, and everything else about our experience. "I would stay here again"
*We stayed here for 5 nights* The complimentary breakfast was ample. It wasn't just a few muffins and croissants, but a full breakfast buffet. They were also more than willing to let you take it back to your room, rather than eat in their dining area. We also had a pleasant surprise about the complimentary dinner...beer and wine is also complimentary! […] This was fabulous to be able to have a couple drinks on the hotel's tab! The dinner for each night wa listed in our room, so we knew in advance if we would want it. Rooms were cleaned, and dishes were put in the dishwasher to be cleaned by housekeeping daily. There was a couple little negative things, but it ultimately did not affect our stay. First, some of the towels appeared to have light stains on them. Unknown what it was, but the majority of the towels had marks on them. Our floor area had black stains near the washroom as well, which just made it look less clean. Secondly, the room as a "full" kitchen, the amount of dishes were lacking. We had a stovetop to cook, but only one pot.
