"cold pool, cold night"
My 7 year old daughter loves to swim. We chose this hotel because of the pool. The water was very cold (despite it saying it was a heated pool). Our room was ok but there was no extra blanket so I got cold. The pillows were square and small, so made for an uncomfortable night. "Great Hotel, Poor Management"
Not once of the four times that I came to the front desk was someone actually at it. The employees seem to like to hide in the office off to the side and make you wait until they are ready to serve you. The pool area has racks for pool towels but signs taped to them stating to please go to the front desk for pool towels. Of course that has a normal […] wait for employee to come from side office. Pool side rooms are loud at all hours of the night even though the pool is supposed to be closed at 11:00pm. This allows for about five hours to actually sleep if you have a pool side room. Pool was much too cold to be comfortable, shower at pool was not working (so we could not warm up after freezing) elevator broke down many times during my 4 day stay, tub faucet dripped, toilet was slow to flush (though maintenance man came promptly when it didn't flush well at all). "Needs a lot of inprovements"
We where 5 people in our party, they shouldn't of never put us in the same room, after 3 people they should recommend a joining room or seperate room. Also the pool area, it was a nice area, however the pool is suppose to be heated to 82, I would be suprised if it was 68. "Not bad, but not worth the money."
We had a pool side room and the smell of chlorine was terrible. When I asked to move they said they had no other rooms. There was a tray of dirty dishes in the hall across from our room from the time we checked in until we left. We did have a bill slipped under our door during the night, but that staff member did not bother to remove the dirty dish […] tray. "Not a good pick"

"Great Location!"
This motel location is wonderful, we walked everywhere. The visitor center is close and we could take the bus to Rocky Mtn. National Park. Staff was helpful. The hallways were very noisy with slamming doors. The heater sounded like an airplane taking off. The king bed gave us very bad backaches.Very few t v channels to choose from. "Probably not again"
Front desk staff at put time of check-in not very friendly. Neither of our key cards worked to open the room. One didn't do anything, and the other would make the lights blink but the door wouldn't open. Had to schelp back to the front desk, only to be told "Oh, that must be one of hte rooms that only opens if you lift the door handle up, not down.". […] Now, if they know they have rooms like that, wouldn't you inform your guests of that fact BEFORE they had to tromp half way across the propperty, up three flights of stairs, and half way down the ratty hallway? Sorry to say I should have read the reviews more carefully . The outside of the hotel was really bad my husband nearly drove out of the parking area to find another hotel. "Disappointing experience"
The hotel is coveniently located but it is an older hotel and not well maintained. Our room was alright but not very clean, we found candy wrappers and a lid to a drink container under our beds.....clearly the cleaning they did was a cursory cleaning. We also paid a higher price to get a room next to the pool and they didn't give us a room next to the […] pool; they gave us a noisy room as close to the pool as possible. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The employees were friendly but the hotel was so disappointing that being friendly and helpful didn't override the disappointing experience. "Time for an Upgrade"
The hotel just needs to be completely renovated as it is worn down as a whole. For Example: The Elevator had problems intermittently, it seemed like the water pipes had rust in them and had to let it run out a minute. Although the pool area was nice (large enough to do laps), the hotel service was poor. I'd called ahead of time requesting softer pillows and blankets and upon my arrival, the front desk staff told me that there was no record of my phone call. Also, the air conditioner was so noisy that I couldn't sleep. It was a loud, droning sound which would suddenly […] turn to an intolerable screeching sound and then return to the drone. We were given a handicap accesable room which was fine except for the handicap shower head would not stay in the holder and was a major project to keep from flooding the bathroom. "Not what were were expecting"
On the outside it looks pretty good, except a electrical tower located on the property. Reservations were okay but when I got into the room, it was not at all what was advertised on the Hotels.com website. Well, atleast poolside was right, everything else not so good. When I booked the room it said that it would have a fireplace, It didn't. In fact […] when I called the front desk to ask about it, they wouldn't even here my complaint they just said, you need to contact hotels.com. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the beds felt like they were 20 years old, the pillows were lumpy and the carpet was not very well vaccumed. The resurant service was terrible. I was not very impressed with getting coffee served to me in a cup with lipstick on the rim and the creamer served in a container that had fruit flies stuck to the inside bottom of syrup. "A little deceiving...."
We arrived at the hotel and were a bit shocked to find that it is literally under a giant electrical tower field. Not very scenic at all. It was not far at all from the downtown area, which was nice but overall, I would not choose to stay there again.
