"one draw back"
The only negative point is that a few of the bldgs., including the one we stayed in had no elevator. We were met by a great young man named Alex on 5-31 & 6-1 who carried our bags up & down to our room & to the front of the hotel, on the day we left. He even loaded up our car for us! "Lovely getaway, convenience, and great service"
We had a girls' weekend outing and we had a great time. The room is very comfortable and the small fridge is perfect to store water, wine, and food. The location is perfect, direct access to the beach with towel, chairs and umbrellas, very relaxing. We didn't try the pools but they seemed to be real popular. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and so can confidently say the renovations they have done are excellent. It is now a very fine hotel in a wonderful location right on the beach. "LOVED THE SEA CREST, ON CAPE COD June 2012"
This hotel is perfect for people who want to stay right on the beach, and not pay the high premiums for it. The hotel is very old - but it is renovated. The outer buildings are in the older style, but the front center of the hotel has been updated, and the rooms inside have been redone - and have linens and comforters that you would find in a very upscale […] hotel. The gift shop is great - and had a better selection than most stores on the Cape, and at better prices. Staff was great - Pool is excellent, Bar and Grille is also great by pool - beach is fabulous - you get complimentary beach towels and Umbrella/chair for beach. Food is fabulous at breakfast - although a little high at $15/$18 each - but very high quality and endless choices. Parking is free - location is secluded - not in the busy area of anything, so if you don't want to be in the tourist or high traffic areas, this is definitely the place for you. Some of the halls are a little dark - and long - like in the old days - elevator and door widths are small - as with old buildings, but that is about it - I don't have anything bad to say. Fixtures in the bathrooms are high quality - way better than any hotel I've been in - although our room size - is comparable to most regular priced hotels - the look, feel and quality of what is in it - is much better.
