"Hidden Treasure in Midtown!"
We stayed at the Tryp this past weekend to celebrate my sisters bachelorette party. The Tryp exceeded every expectation I had! I stopped by the hotel at about 12:30pm (with balloons in hand) to see if I could get an early check-in. The staff was able to immediately check us in and after we told them about our plans for the evening they arranged for […] a late check out for us for the following day. The room was clean, modern and simply beautiful. The staff was incredibly accomodating and met my every wish. They even sent a card (singed by the staff) and a complementary bottle of wine since they knew that we were celebrating a special event. I could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is very centrally located and a few blocks from everyting I needed. The service was great but what meant the most to me was that the staff was genuine, personal, fun and friendly. Three of stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Awesome location! The food was great at the little restaurant. Only 2 minor things we did not like. The Tryp Hotel was fabulous. I am very glad I reserved the premium room. We were originally shown to a regular room. The staff was apologetic and helpful and relocated us to the premium room, immediately when the error was pointed out. It was well worth the extra! Ultra clean and chic hotel, very European style. Loved the sky blue ceiling in the room. We got a complementary bump up to a premium room and that really made our stay much better. Having two full bathrooms in the room made all the difference for 4 adults in the same room who had to get ready for the night on the town. Very nice staff, extremely helpful. […] The only point to be aware of, not really hotel's problem, is you need to be careful with parking if you drive in, the only logical choice is the garage next door but they charge a premium ($53 per 24 hrs for SUV) so I would recommend you ditch your car or do a bit of homework and leave it somewhere cheaper in uptown. Check in was a breeze, staff were very nice which made check in a breeze. After check in our luggage was taken out of the vehicle for us and the car was valet parked. It is only a couple blocks from penn station which is where you can catch the 1 subway which will take you all the way to south ferry and up to 242nd street which is south manhatten island to north manhatten island and any stop u get off of the 1 subway is close to all major places u would want to see. The staff at TRYP was extremely friendly and helpful. I had never been in NYC before and the concierge was a huge help. Although there wasn't much of a view in my room (I was looking at a brick wall), I didn't spend much time in the room anyway so it didn't matter. I stayed in a deluxe 2 queen bed room with 3 people. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was fairly large despite the room being a little bit small. There wasn't a lot of space to put our luggage. We requested a fridge, which was brought up to our room. We loved the rain showerhead. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel […] is in a good location, with many different subway stations 1-3 blocks away. The hotel is maybe 1 block too far from being in a central location but it wasn't a big deal. The rooms could use a bit better lighting and more mirrors. The free internet connection was not very stable, and sometimes it took a long time to connect. Huone oli moitteettoman siisti ja hintaansa nähden varsin tilava, samoin kylpyhuone. Sängyt olivat erinomaisen mukavat ja ilmastoinnin säätäminen onnistui, toisin kuin monissa muissa hotelleissa. Plussaa puulattiasta, hyvästä televisiosta ja ilmaisesta wifi-yhteydestä. Miinusta olemattomasta säilytystilasta (vaatteet on pidettävä käytännössä matkalaukuissa) […] ja huonosta äänieristyksestä (puhe kuuluu käytävältä ja viereisestä huoneesta erittäin selvästi). Hotellissa ilmeisesti asuu kuitenkin enimmäkseen hillittyä väkeä, koska äänieristysongelmasta huolimatta viikon oleskelumme oli häiriötön ja rauhallinen. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Hotellille 8. avenuelta johtava kadunpätkä on epämääräisen näköinen, mutta hotellin vieressä sijaitseva poliisiasema takaa turvallisuuden. Muuten alue tuntui myöhään illallakin siivolta ja siellä uskalsi liikkua. Aivan hotellin vieressä on metroasema, josta pääsee kätevästi turisteja kiinnostaviin suuntiin - viikon viipyville noin 30 taalaa maksava metrokortti on suositeltava hankinta. Hotellilta on lyhyt kävelymatka mm. Empire State Buildingille ja Macy's-tavarataloon. Kulman takana on ympäri vuorokauden auki oleva Tick Tock Diner, jonka aamiaismunakkailla pärjää pitkälle iltapäivään, ja myös hotellista saa halutessaan aamiaista ja tapaksia. Für weiter entfernte Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man die U-Bahn-Station benützen, die nur 200 Meter vom Hotel entfernt liegt.
