Had a great experience with staff. got two complimentary drinks for my wife's bday. Our room was directly across from business building where they could see inside room bcos see thru shade and no curtain that covers the window. also had handicap accessible shower that didn't stop water from going all over bathroom floor. however well worth the price. "Very friendly staff"
Even though Expedia didn't send in my reservation, the staff checked me in and took care of the reservation with Expedia. They even compensated me with breakfast coupon for my trouble. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. The location of the hotel is conveniently located near Timessqaure and the theather district. For me, I am here for business, […] but my meeting is closed to Timessqaure which is a walking distance. There are many good restaurants around. I tried Shake Burger and a Thai restaurant, both are excellent. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Four Points by Sheraton Midtown-Times Square Thanks for the great review! We are so happy that your stay was a good one and look forward to having youb ack.
Great location and the room was very clean. One thing that I don't like about this hotel is everybody can use the elevator. Due to they have bar on the rooftop, it had people who not stay in the hotel use hotel's elevator too. I think it's not give the privacy for hotel guests. The room is good size, also the bathroom. Overall I like this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Four Points by Sheraton Midtown-Times Square We are happy that for the most part your stay with us was a great one. We do have a key system on our elevators which does not allow non guests to enter our floors. Also you had mentioned the night club. The Sky Room even though it is part of the hotels roof top, the entrance is not through our hotel lobby. I hope this clarification helps with future stays. Regards, Joseph

We were a little skeptical arriving to the hotel because of some of the surrounding businesses and people hanging out on the street. The front desk check in was nice. The room was small and a little cramped. We found hair in the bathroom, on some of the towels, and dirty sheets. I tried to call the # for the manager, but was never able to reach him. […] The front desk sent housekeeping so we had to spend about an hour of our time waiting for this to be taken care of instead of being out enjoying NYC. Nothing else was offered until the second day when we were leaving did anyone offer anything to us. When checking out, in a hurry I might add, the lady at the front desk offered us coupons for breakfast. I had told someone at the front desk three different times about our room and all they said was "Oh, I'm sorry." I was very disappointed in the customer service and how the condition of our room was handled. We paid too much to find the room in that condition and then have to spend our valuable time waiting for it to be resolved. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location, clean & SILENT rooms, Working AC"
I attended a conference at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. The hotel is perfectly located where you can easily walk to the conference and stroll down to time square and all the excitement of NYC. The Subway is a block away and there are a number of restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, the room AC was working well […] (not struggling to give me a 65deg at night despite the heat wave taking place outside). The room was small but not unpleasantly cramped. The WIFI had good coverage and decent speed. All in all, a good experience. The hotel was good and the experience was good.... a good solid place. Not fancy, special but I would go there again. It does seem a bit expensive for what you get but then again, that's Mid-Town Manhattan for you! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Nice !!!"
I was very pleased. Room was super clean and comfortable. Location is right in the middle of wherever we needed to go. My only small issue would be that the Air Conditioner was a little loud when the compressor kicked on. Overall this was a great place to stay if you are going to New York City.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Genie In a Bottle..."
For the extremely low price on Hotels.com, I was thrilled with the room at the 4 Points. I only wish that; I could have stayed longer, as it was a cool home away from home type of feeling.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""Great hotel, not so great for parking""
the hotel was nice, the parking I wasn't too happy with, it was close to the hotel but not related to the hotel at all, you couldn't pay with a card or added it to your hotel bill, the hotel staff didn't warn me it was a cash only garage, these days who doesn't take cards?????Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, don't count on the terrace."
Our stay, the location and the staff were all wonderful. The only reason that I give this hotel a 4 instead of 5 is because of the misleading advertising for the rooftop terrace. Our impression was that it was part of the Sheraton, when in reality it is next door and more of a club/venue that is open to the public. We tried to go 2 out of our 3 nights […] and never made it in; one night it was booked for a private event and the other night there was a line of about 150 people (clearly not hotel guests) waiting a couple of hours to get in, so we passed. Other than that, everything was great! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very Convenient, but some interesting neighbors"
Hotel was top notch, city view room worth it. Good place to try beer down the block. Clean bathroom, well repaired. No accessible HDMI input on the TV, but lots of power strips and good wi-fi strength (on 27th floor at least).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, yet in seedy neighborhood"
Next door to a parole office and "nudie show", however just blocks from theaters so the location had pluses and minuses. However, bed was the best I have had in a hotel! Restaurant was just a bit below average...staff was outstanding in the hotel and average in the restaurant.Would probably stay there again...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, comfortable, modern and in a good location."
I had read the many reviews of this hotel and on balance decided that the Sheraton brand would sway my choice. The position on w40th street is good despite the few "dodgy" premises nearby which you don't really give a thought to. Easy walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, Empire State Building [well worth the extra for the express tickets […] bought in advance online as we jumped all the lines!!]. The hotel itself is modern and clean with courteous, helpful staff despite them being very busy [Spring break]. All in all excellent value for money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great staff, convenient, Midtown location"
If you are looking to stay in the Times Square area of NYC, then this is hotel is very convenient. Our room was clean, bedding was comfortable and a nice flat screen TV. The staff was very nice, always smiling and very helpful. There is a very small bar area to the side of the rgistration desk and Rajmus the bartender was great. We took the bus to NYC […] which dropped us off at the Port Authority Bus Station literally across the street from the Four Points Sheraton. Times Square is only a few blocks away and even our cab ride to Little Italy was easy. (about $18 including tip). I was very close to giving scores of 5 across the board in my review because overall it was more than "pleasing". Our family would stay here again without hesitation. Little bit further away from times square than where we've stayed in the past, but excellent value, friendly staff, clean room, no complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall a pleasant stay, I would definitely return. The staff was very accomodating before, during, and after my stay. (Yes, after) After reading other people's complaints that the rooms were too small (before my arrival) - well if you want a Suite, go out and get one and pay for it too. The room was roomy enough for my girlfriend and I - and very clean, […] which goes a long way for me, and the King Sized Bed very comfy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Business class hotel"
Overall, it was a very good experience. The hotel let us check in early on arrival and late on departure, both needed for our plane flights and they were quite accomodating! The hotel itself is in a good location, just far away enough from Times Square to eliminate the noise and hubub but close enough to walk without being a pain. It IS near the parole […] office of NYC, but I never felt in any danger nor did I feel like I saw anyone dangerous. The security is good too, you have to use a room key to enter at late night and to use the elevator at any point during the day. The room was a simple upgrade from a basic Hotel 6 or Best Western, with a glass shower and nicer than normal hardware and bedding. No mini fridge in the single king room though, we were a bit disappointed in that. Also the view was terrible from our side, but I didn't pay for an upgrade so I wasn't expecting anything. "Great location, nice hotel"
Overall I was really impressed with this hotel. The rooms are not huge, but they have everything you need and they're big enough to be comfortable. The only issue I had with the room was the bed. It is comfortable, but the sheets are made of some kind of cotton polyester blend, so they do not breathe AT ALL. They feel ok, but it is not fun to wake up […] sweaty because your body can't breathe under the covers. I was happy with everything else. The complimentary bottled water is a nice touch, the bathroom has pretty good storage for a hotel (not really any counter space though - I had to set the blow dryer in the sink), and the armoire and and desk/dresser have a good bit of space. The location is also great - there is a subway station on the corner and there are tons of restaurants, shops, movie theaters, and theaters within walking distance. I loved being able to walk to Times Square and have almost anything I wanted right there. I know some of the reviews have said the area is a little iffy, but I didn't feel that way at all. Yes, there is a parole office on the same street, but I never felt like it was dangerous to be walking around at night - and we got back to our hotel after midnight at least once. You will need your keycard to get into the hotel if you come back after 11, but that's not a big deal at all. Overall I would recommend this hotel and probably stay there again, but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice when I go back to New York. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"i'd stay again"
i thought the hotel was very good, better than expected actually. after reading some reviews i thought it would be more cramped and not as nice. my girlfriend and I drove into NYC for our 1 year anniversary and spent the night after going to a concert and then went to the museum the next day. parking next door had a reduced rate for hotel guests ($28 […] vs $50 regularly). i read a lot of reviews of how the room was small and some other random complaints. i saw no issue with anything. the staff was great from the minute we walked in. the room wasn't big, but what do you actually expect from a hotel room right near Times Square IN Manhattan? it's not gonna be that big, some people expect the world i guess. For an overnight stay the King City View room was amazing. Extremely comfortable bed, decent view, good tv, amazing shower (hard to always fit in showers for me being 6'11"). 1 drawback was the sink, it was flat, so when i shaved my face before going out my stubble was all over the sink and didn't go down the drain. and that is the only thing i found wrong with this establishment at all. i would love to stay there again. very close to Times Square, walking distance to a lot of things (heartland brewery, best buy theater, broadway.) "Comfortable stay, very nice staff"
The Four Points Mid Town was a comfortable stay, we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. A+ to the staff, who were super nice and very accommodating. Our double room had a very nice view of the empire state building, a great air conditioning system, comfortable beds (no bed bugs), good pillows and linen and the floor was quiet. The flat […] screen TV was also very nice. Location is ideal for all lines of the subway, theatres, Times Sq., restaurants off 9th, etc...The only thing is the hotel's vibe is slightly dated, considering there are many boutique (or new) hotels within 1-2 blocks. I would recommend a cosmetic makeover in the lobby, elevators. Another recommendation is the lack of shelving or hooks in the bathroom, there was no space to put travel accessories. However, the stay was still good. I would recommend to travellers on a budget and who are not concerned with boutique style or design, but who want good service. "Good location and value"
Accept it - New York City is expensive! Considering rates at other hotels nearby, we found this to be a good value. It's not as close to TImes Square as we expected, but it's an easy walk. Rooms are updated, bed was comfortable and quiet. The air conditioning was noisy and too cold - we couldn't control the temperature no matter how much we tried. We […] didn't go to NYC to spend much time in a room, so the less-than-perfect setting didn't matter. We'd go back again. Friends stayed at the Edison, where we've stayed before. I prefer the Sheraton for its updated rooms, better beds, and it is quieter. The Edison is better located, but we've always gotten stuck in tiny rooms there and it doesn't seem as clean. "Stayed here for the location!"
Everyone was friendly. Hotel was clean. Rooms were New York size which means just big enough for the bed, desk, window, bathroom... you get the idea. But everything was in great shape and clean! We asked for a king view but instead got a double view. Fine by us, but it would be nice to just get what we had booked in the first place. They offered to […] give us a king for the second night but its just too much hassle to move! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
As everyone notes, the hotel is next to the parole office and across the street from the bus terminal. However, I felt almost as safe on that block as I did in the rest of the area. The hotel itself was nice enough and the staff was helpful and friendly. We were one floor from the top of the hotel so had no street or construction noise. Could I find […] a similar room for half or a third of the cost almost anywhere else in the country? Yes, but not in Midtown Manhattan. The hotel was within walking distance of several of the places we were going to, and there were two subway stops on major lines, one a block away and the other more like three blocks. We had to walk the half block to the front of the bus terminal to get a taxi. We're not planning on going back to NYC anytime soon but I would certainly consider this hotel again if we did. "Perfect stay for midtown activities"
This was our second stay at this hotel. 'Leon' checked us in and was exceptionally attentive and friendly. We saw him again the day we checked out when we came back to pickup our luggage and he greeted us by name and asked how our stay was. The room was great - no view, but all we did was shower and sleep there. The sun-block blinds work perfectly - […] at 9 am the the room was as dark as it was the night before. Tv has a nice selection of channels. Don't like that the ice service is in the basement - thats a pain. We ate breakfast at the hotel - they had a $14 buffet that morning (eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit, beverages, muffins, bagels) that was very good (although the eggs were cold). I wish the hotel was up on 46th or 47th, but its close enough to all midtown activities to walk. We had a full day after checking out, and the hotel stored our luggage no problem [last time we had a problem...] Every staff member was new since our last stay. All were very friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel and location!"
The hotel was lovely and very close to Times Square, the subway and Restaurant row. It was very clean and the king size bed was absolutely wonderful, so comfortable! The room itself was a little small but that is to be expected in New York. Unfortunately, the WIFI did not work in our room, so I was very disappointed that i could not use my iPad. Luckily, […] it did work in the lobby. The lobby served free Starbucks coffee and tea, with flavour shots in the morning, that was a nice treat. Our only complaint would be that the "roof top" restaurant was not open on Sundays or Mondays, so we could not check it out like we had hoped. We also could not order room service after 11pm any night. Overall, a wonderful stay and I would recommend this hotel for couples.
