Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.

"Great Location"
Great location, easy walking distance to Broadway shows, Times Square and Macy's. There is a Subway entrance 1/2 block away. The block the hotel sits on seems a little shady (liquor store, adult store, abandonded building) but the people were decent. There are 2 parking ramps next to the Staybridge. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and […] the breakfast excellent. Will stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Personnel was very disrespectful."
Me and my 2 kids and my cousin stayed for 3 days. Paying 900+ dollars for our 3 days stay last memorial day weekend. The corridor was very small. One time, the bellboy / hotel personnel shouted at us in the presence of my 2 kids and very sarcastic. Because he wanted us to move away from my doorway while I was still looking for my key. And when I said […] that he can pass, I will just try to stay by the door, he was very sarcastic and told me...NO YOU HAVE TO MOVE. And when I moved, he retorted.......NOW SEE, I AM RIGHT, ISNT IT EASY? ISNT IT EASY?....the staff is very disrespectful. Also, area is very scary. I will not recommend and I will not stay in this hotel anymore. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay!"
The hotel was great for the money. Very nice staff, full kitchen, large bath for NYC, great breakfast, and great location. Only issues were vey minor. Slow elevators during busy times and loud a/c system we had to turn off to sleep. Again, very minor. We will stay at this hotel again when visiting NYC!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best NYC!"
The hotel staff was helpful and courteous! The rooms were a nice size for NY and the room service was awesome. Breakfast was ok but included, so it was convenient. Really nice restaurant in the lobby. Subway entrance at the end of the block made travel easy and safe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Service"
This hotel had the most Customer Service oriented team of any hotel we have recently stayed at. We arrived early on our first day and rooms were not ready because it was 11am. They held our baggage for us, while we walked to Times Square, 2 hours later we received a call letting us know the room was ready. Hotel is a quick walk to Times Square. We had […] a great view from 31st floor. The room was a decent size for NYC and it was great to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Breakfast was also had many options available. On check out day we had a later flight and they held our luggage, plus arranged for a car to take us to the airport. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel For Times Square fun"
The hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Easy to park, not too expensive either. Breakfast was generous, especially given that it was complimentary. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't want for anything. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for seeing a Broadway show"
We really enjoyed the stay. Although the street is a little scary late at night, it is a great location. Right next to the Port Authority, so if you are looking for convenient, inexpensive parking, it is the right place. The room was very comfortable for a family of 4 - the kitchenette what definitely a help. The breakfast area is bright and sunny, […] even on a cold winter's day, and the breakfast was very good overall. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking in the Broadway/Times Square area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"All good, except the heating system"
The room was very clean, services are all very satisfying, staff are very nice. The only thing not very comfortable is the heating system, the machine is loud when turned on, however it's very cold if shut it down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent staff, hot breakfast, wifi, & dinner!"
What more could you want? Rooms were excellent for a big city: double beds, clean sleek bathroom, kitchen with full size refrigerator. Free Internet in rooms was always working. Big hot breakfast for 4 hours and a hot dinner buffet three times a week! Staff was exceptionally nice to my family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Surrounding area has the […] Port Authority Bus Terminal (crowded, questionable ppl) but hotel was two blocks south and two blocks west of Times Square...very walkable. I had my two kids with me and we walked everywhere, up to 11pm and I felt very safe. I hope to be back in March. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel value"
i had some business in the city and took my family along for the trip. The location is central, the staff were fantastic, and the rooms were quite nice for the price. I would recommend. I see two drawbacks - the hotel capacity is fairly large so grabbing an elevator, particularly in the morning, took 10-15 minutes. Also, the direct neighborhood has […] a few shops not appropriate for children. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent hotel!"
We booked a room at the Staybridge Suites Times Square last-minute because of it's location and decent price (for Manhattan). We were pleasantly (very) surprised by the quality of the accommodations (nice room with a full kitchenette), the friendliness of the staff, and the quality of the (free) buffet breakfast. "Plumbing Issue, etc..."
I chose this hotel for it's handicapped accessibility and after the reservation was made i was called that i could not have two double bed and only a king was available. that was a problem that i had no time to correct at the late notification. also the toilet would not flush and we did not clog it. another problem was that the bedside clock was set […] 1-hour behind and caused me to run very late the next morning. i was visiting with my son and wanted our visit to be enjoyable (which it ws) because he is disabled and uses a wheelchair. he can not get in/out of the wheelchair himself so the size of the room was small. another 6 inches would have been nice. otherwise, a nice and friendly hotel. "Close to times square"
My stay was great, we spent 5 nights at this hotel. There were a couple of negatives, parole office on the street, slow elevators, not enough seating for breakfast buffet. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. the room was roomy and clean, we were not disturbed by the street traffic. Would definitely would stay again!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dont compare room size to other Stay bridge suites"
We had a family of 5 and booked a Double queen room, which at a normal Staybridge would've worked. 2 Queen beds, and a pull out couch is always what you get. Not in the NY rooms, They are very small, and efficient. Showers are small, and so are the kitchens, but everything is well thought out. We had to purchase another room and split up, so I was glad […] they had one available. We would stay there again. Very clean and comfortable. Just think they need to make it clear on the website that these are not to be compared with other Staybridge "Suites". Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our family of four enjoyed staying at Staybridge! The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was excellent and definitely saved us money! Enjoyed our time at the hotel. Service was friendly and professional. The location was great, walking distance from Broadway shows, Times Square, etc. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was a litle smaller than I would have liked. But it was clean and well maintained. Everything that you would need. Got a little crazy trying to get back to the hotel with the Sky room next door. Everyone was lined up outside to get in there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient location"
We were very happy with the hotel with the exception of a couple of things. The smoke alarm started beeping at 3:30 am one morning and although they came quickly, it still disrupted our sleep. One day they did not make up the room and had to call and ask them to do so. The food on the breakfast buffet is very good, however, it was tepid at best and […] no microwaves available in the area. I kind of felt like the management should have at least apologized for these problems. Other than that, everyone was very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. "Location and Amenities"
Staybridge Suites Times Square is a good sized hotel, but still quiet, even though our room was directly across from the elevators. The beds are softer than my taste, and the pillows are soft rather than foam, but that was our only complaint. Loved the modern decor in our room and the lobby and common areas. The complimentary breakfast was extensive […] and amongst the best quality of the hotels I've experienced. The staff was courteous and helpful. Upon our departure, one of the front desk walked half a block to get us a cab! The room had a cooktop, large refrigerator, cabinets with cutlery and dishware, a microwave - everything you'd need. The bathroom was clean and modern. Nearby you can find 2 Brothers pizza (corner of 9th & 40th) - wait outside like the locals until new pies come out of the oven, then swoop in for a slice. Easy walk to Times Square fun. I would stay again and recommend this hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staybridge-great location"
I couldn't have been happier. The hotel was two blocks from Times Square off on a side street so no noise issues. Subway station at end of street and across street was the Port Authority bus terminal. The rooms were contemporary and very clean, I would say spacious for NY. It had a full kitchen with everything you would need, though we didn't use it. […] Bed was very comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. There was also a full breakfast buffet included everyday which you can't beat. The only downfall was sometime had to wait a few minutes for an elevator, but I'm sure this is the case with any highrise hotel in NY. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staybridge Suites - NYC 40th and 8th area"
a 10 minute walk to the start of times square, very tall but skinny hotel - not much in the lobby (small bar) but a surprisingly bright (skylight roof) breakfast area (full hot breakfast included - one of the best free breakfasts we have had). Each floor only has a handful of rooms and only 3 elevators to service them. Found frequently a 2-3 minute […] wait for an elevator then when it arrived (and we were on the 21st floor) it was full. Room was very clean and very modern looking with full stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, sink, 2 burner stove and microwave - very nice touch with all kitchen supplies needed. Beds were very comfortable - similar to a westin bed. Bathroom was very clean and nicely layed out - modern thirsty towels and a full cabinet of them for our family of 4. I am a big guy and the shower (no bath) was a little small for me, but not unmanageable. Nice flatscreen TV (probably 36"), free wi-fi internet for laptop and phones/tablets. nice desk area and decent view slight view of hudson and towards times square. If your room was below say the 8-10th floor on that side you would be looking into the port-authority bus terminal and may hear more street noise - we were very happy on 21st. By comparison to other hotels in the Times Square area (we have stayed previously at the Mariott Maquis right in Times square - phenomenal but over 2x the cost at this time of year), we feel we got very good value for the money and a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who may be looking for a few days stay in central Manhattan. Only drawback was a bit of a seedy from 8th avenue bus-terminal walk to hotel on 40th. A liquor store and a parole office (which was closed over the weekend - or seemed so), and an adult video shop. Personally didn't bother me, but was a bit uncomfortable with my 11 & 14 year old daughter's and wife. (probably only issue with hotel during this 3 minute walk to 8th avenue). "Staybridge nyc"
The start was not good. I had a room with king bed but was given a queen without any notice . Went up to 16th floor then called and was told they didnt have any kings and hung up. Had to come back down again and after 15 mins suddenly king was available now. Room itself was clean and had a view of empire state. drove from nj thru lincoln tunnel and […] hotel was nearby after exit. Parked in their parking which was nearby and cost 24 bucks vs 32 bucks regular rate. Then took taxies everywhere or could walk to nearby locations. Immediate neighbouhood was little seedy but after a block it was okay. No bathtub and shower area was really small. Room size was ok for nyc. Liked the big room and crockery provided by the hotel. Overall good hotel. Initial entry was bad so make sure you got what you reserved before you go up. 3 stars out of 5 for me Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staybridge Suites Times Square"
I am glad we stayed at this hotel. The staff did everything they could to make it a pleasant experience. Even though we had to walk about a block in a questionable neighborhood, the location to Times Square was good and we could get there easily (just had to walk on the other side of the street). The wait for elevators did get long but during times […] of high use the hotel staff actually manually overrode the elevator controls and manually monitored them. That kept them running quickly. "Staybridge Times Square — your to bridge Broadway"
Staybridge Suites on W. 40th in the Times Square area was a nice surprise — clean, efficient, modern, with flat-screen TV, kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave ... like an apartment away from home. […] But Staybridge offers free breakfast buffet, with hot and cold choices, plus a happy hour Tues-Thurs with free appetizers, wine and beer.
