"Never book in this hotel"
I had to change room three times: the hotel is right next to a disco on 48th street , so you hear the loud music banging until 3 or 4 am .from almost allthe rooms . Breakfast quality is just awfull .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Okay stay"
While the hotel is very nice, Ink 48 still needs work on its service. I was never able to reach the front desk directly from my room phone and always had to go through an automated menu; the concierge was not immediately helpful when I asked for assistance in booking a car for my trip to the airport and I don't think the staff was very warm overall […] . "Another great Kimpton Hotel"
I liked most everything about the hotel except it's proximity to a subway station. I've always been pleased with Kimpton Hotels, especially the "raid the mini bar" perk they offer to InTouch members.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"No Sleep for the Weary"
With the loudest air conditioning in the room and the constant in an out of garbage trucks outside my room, I barely got any sleep. Room 510 needs to have it's air conditioning checked. It was terribly loud.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Clean spacious rooms. Wonderful covered roof deck. Friendly hotel staff. Easy access to West side highway for quick cab rides downtown or uptown. Excellent value!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

was pleasantly surprised by the incredible service in every area of the hotel - front desk, room service, concierge, bellman, restaurant, spa and rooftop bar. Not one moment of disappointment - instead, sheer pleasure!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Hidden Gem"
The Ink 48 was a wonderful surprise. We were in town for the Westminster Kennel Club which had moved located from Madison Square Garden to piers 92 & 94. Stumbled upon this hotel as it was located close to the new show site, one block up and 4 streets over. I was greeted with a quick and friendly wait staff and brought a very modern metro style room […] of spacious size for a New York city hotel. The restaurant was excellent, ending up eating there both nights. The Ink 48 is also close to the Javas Center and about a $10 cab ride from the Garden or Times Square. If you're looking to enjoy the perks of the city but not the usually hussle and bussle, than this hotel is worth chekcing out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"i had a great stay"
from the cleanliness to service i give this hotel an A+ . the view from the room, the view from the rooftop were absolutely spectacular. the price was definitely a bargain. the only thing i would recommend for myself next time i go is to get a room with a view facing the river.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"awesome city view...must experience the roof"
I had one of my most memorable NYC stays at Ink48. It's a bit off of the beaten path (from where I typically stay), HOWEVER, was well worth the experience. I will return to this spot. The staff was excellent - friendly, courteous, happy, helpful, ...the list goes on. The city view from my room (14th floor) was awesome...and the roof top was incredible!! […] I/we also ate at the hotel's restaurant...excellent. A solid spot in NYC to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost in NJ"
Loved the staff. Rooms large by NY standards. Clean and comfortable. The street and construction noise was so bad, we asked to move to a higher floor. Where the heat vent rattled loudly. Price was great and I generally love Kimpton but the are 0 for 2 in Manhattan.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Love the hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. The only negative: could not control the fan setting on the thermostat, so the room was either too hot or too cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. The lower rooms are very noisy but I was moved immediately and totally accommodated to. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The food is amazing. We will be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great view, not a great location"
The hotel is very nice, but the location is not the best. The closest subway is on 8th Ave, which is quite a walk if it's cold out. We had a room on the 7th floor that was very loud from outside traffic and had some other issues (sink didn't drain, room smelled). They put us on the 17th floor, which was much quieter and had a spectacular view. Rooms […] are big and comfortable. Bathroom has a frosted glass door that doesn't really close completely. This is not ideal for people sharing a room because the light pours into the room, which can wake you up in the middle of the night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very hip hotel Clean rooms Sizable considering its NYC Somewhat out of the way, but good it you want to spend time in Time Square and not be in the middle of the craziness during the late hoursGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bit of a hassle this time..."
While they kindly upgraded our room to a junior suite, which was dark, but ideal in 100-degree heat and humidity, we got a few charges for the minibar that we had to dispute. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice not to have to make calls to dispute invalid charges. Staff is always very courteous and efficient, otherwise. Room was FREEZING cold […] even on the hottest days, which was nice. Very clean too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet, spacious hotel in Midtown"
I was in town for business at the Javits Center, and I thought the location of ink48 was not only perfect for that, but perfect in general. It's a quick walk to the Javits, Columbus Circle, or the Times Square area, and it has much less traffic. I actually loved that it wasn't in the middle of the tourist melee; the hotel was nice and quiet, and I never […] heard any of the other guests. I had the King Deluxe room, and it was fab. It's clean, modern without feeling sterile or uncomfortable, and remarkably spacious (especially when compared to a co-worker's room at a hotel just a few blocks away - she barely had room to set up an ironing board in her room). The huge windows offered an incredible view of the Hudson. I've come to expect nice little touches from Kimpton, and ink48 didn't disappoint. It featured luxurious robes, C.O. Bigelow products in the bathroom, and a dock for my iPod. They even gave me $15 for the mini bar for being a Kimpton InTouch member. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kimptons are the Best"
Great hotel. I normally stay in the heart of mid-town for meetings, but could not find a suitable hotel for this trip. I stayed at a Kimpton hotel last year (Dallas); it was outstanding. So too was the NYKimpton. The walk through Times Square into mid-town was fine. The hotel is understated hip vs. Ws that attempt to be over the top hip (loud). Unlike […] W, the rooms are spacious. Gym was fine, though it could be a bit larger. Roof top bar was great. This is an outstanding selection for business travelers, though I suspect most visitors were there for leisure. "Great city views, close to midtown"
Enjoyed a stay at the Ink48, with great midtown views from my Studio King room. Just a few blocks from the Theater District & Times Square. I had arrived early, but my room wasn't ready yet. So I took a drive downtown, and within 20 minutes the front desk called to tell me that I could check in. The room was great, with large windows overlooking midtown, […] a huge shower with 2 shower heads, one that an NBA player could easily get under. A soaking tub was in the room near the bed. High studio ceilings made the room seem even bigger. Only complaint: valet parking is $55 but that doesn't give you in & out access. So if you want to use your car you will need to find another parking garage, which is a pain. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Most awesome hotel I've found in NY!"
Not a bad location, nice walking distance from Times Sq, but away from the congestion. If you have a car, you're right off the West hgwy. A blk from the riverwalk... The hotel itself, specatular! Refreshingly spacious rooms (rarity for NYC), nice city or river view. Check out the roof top... I could go on & on.... "Hell's Kitchen Cool"
I loved the modern look and feel of the hotel. The room provided plenty of space without wasting any and the bed was very comfortable. The views from the rooftop bar are outstanding. "Depends on Your Age"
Ink48 is a well-appointed newer hotel done in a very modern style--a hotel that should appeal to the 30 and under crowd. I'm not in that category. The lack of a mirror in the room itself was an inconvenience. Yes, there is a full-length mirror in the hallway but that necessitated many trips back and forth to the skimpy tabletop to carry make-up from […] place to place (while the bathroom was occupied by my roommate). The glass wall and door of the bathroom was a bit disconcerting at first, but it is opaque enough. The greatest drawback to the hotel is the location. If you depend on walking out of your hotel, walking three steps to the right or left, and bumping into a restaurant of deli, INK48, is not the hotel for you. It WILL work for the under-30 crowd who don't mind the 14-15 block hike to Times Square--more to Central Park. The pluses--a spectacular rooftop bar. Stunning. This place works well for the younger guest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, EXCELLENT restaurant"
The hotel was very nice. We had to spend a lot per evening to stay, and considering that, the room was very small and the service was just okay. We have stayed in Hawaii and other resorts for equal or less which much better accomedations...However, it is NYC, and the rooms are always smaller. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was one of the best […] meals we had while in the city--fresh, interesting, and delicious. Would stay again, but not unless we could get a better rate. "Great views in comfortable modern setting"
Beautiful rooms with great views. When checking in, I worried that the hotel would be TOO trendy, but this wasn't the case, and unlike many 'trendy' hotels, the rooms were large and comfortable and well appointed, with large bathrooms. Limited room service menu, but the other assets of the hotel make up for this. Also, desolate neighborhood not really […] near anything, but taxis were accessible. "Ink 48 - Great Hotel in low-key NYC Neighborhood"
Ink 48 is a nice hotel. I would stay there again. The hotel staff were friendly and moderately helpful. They didn't have a great knowledge of area restaurants and the front desk doubles as the concierge. They should be more knowledgeable. The decor of the hotel is nice. It is a pretty new property. Rooms are well laid out and all are close to the elevator. The […] restaurant and bar are nice. Very busy on the weekends. Food quality is good and room service was great. This hotel is on the edge of Hells Kitchen. It is a really low-key neighborhood. Not a lot happening in the surrounding blocks. Fantastic bakery - Sullivan Street Bakery on 47th is great neighborhood highlight. Overall a good place for business and vacation travel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
