"Comfortable little room but unfortunate location"
We thought the bed was fine and room, although small was quite adequate. Unfortunately it was directly over the subway trains which were very noisy and caused vibrations in the room all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to the subway for getting to office.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Skip This One"
All rooms face the street, so if rest and sleep are on your agenda...skip this hotel. The room was small, but that's not really a shock. It's right in China Town, so that has it's pluses and minuses. Room condition is passable. Clean, spartan, that's about all you can say. Dining options nearby were not outstanding. It's not a bad place, but based on […] the average rating - I expected a bit more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to train. Convenient to Chinatown, Soho, etc"
On the plus side, hotel is close to downtown, located right above one of the Canal St. stops. The room was relatively clean, although the curtain had a big brown stain on it. The queen bed took up almost the entire room, leaving little room to move around in. I could hear the train at night underground (I was on the third floor); it didn't wake me up, […] but I could detect it. The staff was friendly enough. This was an OK hotel at an OK price. It's a fine place to crash for the night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but space efficiency!!"
It was perfect for what we needed--a place to crash. We were surprised at how nice the hotel was for the price. Decorated well, very clean, comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again for a downtown stay...Little Italy and Chinatown right outside!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A bargain in Manhattan!"
Rooms are tiny, but clean and up-to-date. Staff was courteous and helpful. They really need more shelving and hooks in the bathroom, as there was no place to hang wet towels and washcloths much less clothes. Definitely no frills, but I wasn't expecting a luxury resort. Overall, a great bargain! Would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quite good."
Roomy for New York standards, considerate staff. a great location for someone that knows NYC with the 4,5,6 trains so close. One of the better NYC hotel experiences I have ever had with this calibre of hotel. The only other that was as good in Manhattan was a Gem property in Chelsea.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Modest digs but great location and clean"
The hotel is very well located for exploring the down town area, Little Italy and China Town. Very close to subway stations also. The noise of the street was present but not overwhelming. The rooms are very tiny. Bed against the wall sort of thing. But, everything worked well. Just hard to move around with 2 people. No closet and little space for suitcases. […] Still for the price and location, it is a find. It was kept very clean and we appreciated that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Would stay again on future visits"
Hotel Azure worked well for our visit to NY, and was a bargain compared to some NYC hotels. We walked to the World Trade Center and Battery Park, and there was easy access via train to Greenwich Village and Midtown locations. The room was very small, but it certainly accommodated us and our luggage. The front office staff was extremely helpful. One […] minor annoyance was that the hotel wifi was on the blink for most of our visit. We used the hotel's $35 car service to LaGuardia on checking out, which was quite convenient. The advertisement whats not what I expected. The room was very clustered and small but clean. Very noisy to sleep and the smell was not good in the elevator and hallway. In the room there were too much spray in it make it muggy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"tight"
Upon arriving there the outside was no too pleasing to the eyes. I recommend that they do a paint job, or a color that would make the hotel stand. However the guy at the front desk was very helpful friendly and remain very professional despite the fact that he had a lot of people checking in at thesame time when he was the only there to assist then […] and on top of that the phone kept ringing. its good for too people and don't bring a lot of luggage and if your on the hefty side the shower may not be for youbecause when your getting out of it you would haveto pull the door in towards you in order to gt out. But overal it was a nice and cozy place to be in every thinf was fairly clean including the towels and sheets. However the train station was right there and i was on the fourth floor and I herad it just a little I recommend getting a room on the 5th. Overal it was a nice hotel with a good price I would stay there again but I don't like to go to the same place twice. Plus when I hd room service I didn't fel like they did a goodjob other than changing the sheets because the floor wasn't vaccum the table where my products were on was not clean and my products was not fix neatly everything was sort of just how I left it maybe room service was scared to touch anything of mine but I fgure aslong as your not stealing why not move things around if you need to clean oh an don my second day I saw a roach in my bathroom but I laughed because I knew I was in new york Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location ......"
The hotel room was quite small, without a "normal" size closet. The subway runs under the hotel and even from the fourth floor is loud. I kept the bathroom fan on to drown out the subway and street noise. This is a great location, hotel is clean, bed comfy, if your trip isn't designated to staying in your hotel room you can overlook the size of the […] room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location, Comfortable Room"
I really liked this hotel, located at Canal & Lafayette, it was a great location for getting about and enjoying New York City. I know the big complete is about how small the rooms are - well, I spent twice as much for only a slightly larger room at The W in Midtown last year, so . . . It's New York - rooms are generally going to be smaller & why are […] you spending that much time in your room anyway? I really enjoyed my stay here, I recommend Hotel Azure. "Great hotel close to Chinatown"
Hotel was very clean with fridge and coffee maker. Easy access to subway but the trains were noisy directly below street level. In the heart of Chinatown and close to little Italy. ATM directly across the street at the bank on the corner. Room was on 2nd floor and we had to be careful people walking across the street couldn't see in when dressing. Would […] recommend upper floors. Comfortable bed but no top sheets only comforter. Hotel only 5 floors which was fine. Modern decor. Went in July. Room took several hours to cool off when we got there as AC was off. We had to leave one room Card next to door in room in the slot so the AC would stay on when we left for the day. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful especially David! He helped us figure out how to take Q train to Astoria and board te M60 bus to LaGuardia which cost $4.50 for 2 people. "Great, Economical Hotel"
I've stayed in some really expensive hotels like Fairmonts that can't compare to Hotel Azure. But, for an economical hotel in NYC, this is a great place. We were on the 5th floor, so it wasn't noisy at all, though you could here the elevator ding here and there. The only slight negative (that didn't really impede our stay) is that the air conditioner […] could have been even cooler - but we stayed during two insanely hot days. "Hotel Azure in Soho"
The hotel rooms are very small but given the location of NYC, maybe that is to be expected. The shower grout was extremely moldy and the bathroom/room space is pretty tight for two people. Also, there was only a fitted sheet and a comforter on the bed - no top sheet, which meant the comforter never got washed during our stay. The staff was very helpful […] and friendly. The location of the hotel near the subway was excellent, although we could feel the vibration from the subway all night, even on the fifth floor. The hotel is okay for a short-term stay without children, especially for the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonable service for reasonable price."
Don't judge the size of the room by the size of the bed. My queen sized bed literally had a two-foot wide walkway around the bed, a small bathroom on the side and a shelf that didn't quite qualify for a desk. In a word, compact. But then again so was the price. Yes, the rooms come with free wi-fi, but some of the rooms may be too small to accommodate […] someone needing a work station. If a clean bed and a quaint room is all you need from a hotel, then the Hotel Azure is perfect. If you need amenities such as continental breakfast, a business center, or a gym, then look elsewhere. The Hotel Azure offers few amenities but a reasonable rate. The staff was typically courteous and respectful, and there is someone manning the front desk at all hours. "One of the best deals in NYC!!!"
I decided to attend a conference in Manhattan but also decided to try to stay within a budget and not stay at the conference hotel. I shopped on Hotels.com for a few days before deciding on Hotel Azure. Here's why: 1. Closer to Greenwich Village, SoHo, Lower Manhattan, and the areas I like to eat shop and bar-hop. 2. This hotel is around the corner, […] literally 30 steps from the transit subway and access to anywhere in NYC.. 3. The hotel is fairly new, very clean, and is a small European- style hotel. 4. Borders Chinatown and Little Italy. 5. Free Wi-Fi and other amenities. 6. The shower is awesome! Here's why I would return to this hotel: 1. The 6 above reasons I selected it. 2. Friendly, courteous, attentive staff...beautiful too. 3. I paid $7.25 to get from JFK to my hotel via AirTrain and one subway train with no transfers...saving almost 40 dollars if taking a taxi. 4. Post office is maybe 4 blocks on Canal. 5. Restaurants, and bargain shopping everywhere! Wine shops, specialty tea stores, and a liquor store are within two blocks. 6. Although small, the room was not much smaller than a friend's room who stayed at the Times Square Sheraton and she was paying almost 300 per night! The only negative (for most, but not for me): 1. There is no closet or dresser so you have to live out of your suitcase which is probably safer anyway in this day and age of germs and bugs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rough but Clean"
The title says is all. This place is in rough shape but it is clean. Location is great, right in the heart of Chinatown. Subway station right on corner. Taxis are abundant, though if you walk a few blocks in the direction you want to go before hailing one you will save a few $'s. The traffic right around the hotel is heavy all day. Tons of great chinatown […] shops surround this place and little italy is just a few blocks away. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Azure - Really?"
The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because my daughter lived a block away. The hotel room was the size of a closet. You could barely turn around in the bathroom. The air conditioning was poor. The carpet was filthy. The neighborhood was subway convenient - but that is all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Impressed"
Except the front desk staff who were very very helpful and cooperative, there is nothing exciting about this hotel. Dirty rooms, small rooms do not deserve the price that its charging for a night stay. NOT SATISFIEDGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location, cramped for the money."
Stayed here 12 days. There were a few problems with the room ( A/C, leaky faucet) which were fixed in a timely manner. My room was very small even by NYC budget standards, and there were odd issues - like bed sheets not fitting, curtain problems, bad lighting, etc. The staff was very nice ( 24 hour desk) and I personally did not mind the subway rumble […] or traffic noise. Location is excellent with the subway connections and easy walk to TriBeca, LES, etc. I have recently stayed in at least six budget hotels in this area ( LES, NoLita, SoHo, Chinatown) and this one was not the best buy for what I paid. If you can get a really good rate here, it could be worth it. Otherwise I would consider some other nearby options. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Azure - remarkable value in handy location"
I was amazed to experience such a classy and comfortable hotel for such a low price. The decor is elegant and subtle, with beautiful glass mosaic tile in the bathroom, super comfy bed with duvet, desk and excellent reading light throughout. The rooms are small - like being on a ship, but have everything you need. This hotel is right off Canal Street […] with access to several subway lines. Beautiful black-and-white photography in the room. This is a sophisticated urban hotel and a budget chain price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Azure SoHo"
Hotel was centrally located right by Chinatown. My reservation was on the books and check-in was quick and easy. Front desk staff were helpful with directions and subway maps to get me where I needed to go. Drink machine downstairs in the lobby for water and soda's. Room and its bathroom were nicely done and clean, I gave a 4 for "Cleanliness of your […] room" because even though the room and bathroom was clean the carpet was almost turning gray, and could use a good steam cleaning probably. For the price, in NY, it was a good deal. I only say I wouldn't recommend it to others because I'm a light sleeper and the taxi's out on the street constantly beeping their horns, CONSTANTLY, made my sleep horrible. I left NY tired and wanting some quiet, or at least wanted to be somewhere where I wasn't hearing horns being honked every 10-15 seconds, no exaggeration...if you're going on vacation and looking forward to sleeping in forget about it. If you're in town on work and get up in the early am them maybe it would be a good stay for you. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
