Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.

Very nice and clean hotel. The first room they put us in was the size of a small broom closet although neat and clean. We complained to the manager and he was very nice and gave us a larger room at no charge. The Hotel is right by Times Square and if you like the hubbub this is the place for you. "Great Location, some good staff, not so great room"
While John Paul and Christian were some of the most helpful staff, the woman working the front desk both mornings we were there, was nothing short of rude. She did not provide any guidance or assistance beyond what was required of her and even then, was not helpful at all when I requested information about how long valet would take to get the car back. […] She said 5 minutes when I chose valet, but when I requested the car the next day, said it would be 45 minutes. I ended up walking to the garage myself in the rain/snow; she didn't offer an apology or to refund the valet cost. The location is great- steps away from Times Square. The room is SO small and there is no place to put your luggage. Plan on keeping suitcases on the floor and lining the window sill with your items; don't worry, there is no view so you won't mind putting your stuff on the sill. "Dead skin in sheets but nice decor otherwise"
There were flakes of dead skin in my bed, so, clearly, that was a huge negative. The room itself was spacious by Manhattan standards, and the bathroom was super clean, but, the ick in the bed was nasty. There were NO BBs however, so, relief there. The lobby was cheesy--the red sofas looked dirty and gross--and the elevators were old and ugly. The room […] decor was updated and attractive. I don't know if that room had just been vacant for a while and dust accumulated on the bed, or if the dead skin fairy came in and loofahed herself on the sheets, but that needs to be addressed. I won't rush back to this property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Times Square"
The room was small. It took quite awhile for the shower water to become hot. There queen-sized bed seemed smaller. The plus is it is only a block from Times Square.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Business stay"
The room was small, but clean and reasonably comfortable. The room curtains were only translucent (not room darkening) and since I could see out through them, I assumed people from the building across the street could see in. The area was very loud - trucks went buy at all hours making a lot of noise, car alarms, garbage pickup, etc. The price was reasonably […] low, but I have stayed at better places that were the same or lower price. In short, the room rated a 3 - about average. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location to Times Square"
Location to times square is great - but in terms of service, comfort, and view, it was more of a motel.Genuine Expedia guest review

Okay hotel - nice staff, great location. Rooms are small, but this is not unusual for Manhattan. My only complaint - which is a major one - is the fact that the heating system in the room makes such a noise that you will need to sleep with earplugs - and even then you can hear it. For that reason alone I would not stay in the hotel again during the […] winter months. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, bad bed!"
Bed was supposed to be queen but was smaller than a full, very hard and uncomfortable. Pillows could be better. Room is very small but did not spend much time in room. Location is perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Need to change the sheets"
We stayed there for a week and the whole time the only thing done to our room as far as cleaning was new towels. The bed sheets were never changed because my girlfriend dropped something on it the first night and it was there when we left. The shower had a half door so the water sprayed out all over the floorGenuine Expedia guest review

"So so hotel 3 stars"
it is very good due to location, very good for shopping and theatre, the French bistro that serves the hotel is very good. However the hotel is offered as a 4 star. Hotel and it is not.Genuine Expedia guest review
"As expected"
It wasn't a bad stay - the room was clean but cramped. It's about what you could expect from any hotel in New York, especially in Times Square. It was just really small, the bed was old and creaky, the shower faucet was confusing, the thermostat was hidden behind the TV. Overall, it wasn't that bad - the location was ideal and the room was clean. It […] did have an alarm clock, a flat panel TV, hairdryer, wardrobe, and black out curtains...and it wasn't that loud at night. So, overall, I can't complain. "Great location but has limitations"
Great location. Terrible bed but room is clean. Room is very dark even with windows. Needs better lighting. Staff friendly and helpful. Concierge does not arrive until 11:00 a.m. You can get a driver to the airport for a flat fee of $45. This can be a real help. Terrific Deli just down the street. I can only recommend this hotel to those who are not […] picky and just want to sleep somewhere decent but do not expect a first rate hotel. It gets the job done but that's it. "Okay Place to Crash for One Night"
Location was great for the needs of this trip. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Lobby, room, and hallways are tired and worn. Bathroom floor was in need of very good scrubbing. Adjacent bistro- but not part of hotel- had great food and service. Due to condition of hotel this is not worthy of the 4 star rating it was given on your website.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Near Time Square"
This hotel was understaffed. There was only one person helping a lot of people who wanted to either get their bags in or out of storage. The plus side was that they did allow you to store your bags before you checked in if you arrived too early, or if you needed a place to keep them for a few hours after checking out. We were told that our bags would […] be delivered to our room. Much later, after our bags never came, I tried to call the desk but there was no dial tone on our phone. My son went down to the lobby and was told that they couldn't deliver our bag because the attendant couldn't remember what room we were in (?!). Overall the room was comfortable and in a good location near a subway station, but don't expect to be pampered. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but very unprofessional check in !!"
Great location - close to Time Square - close to subway and convenient to the theatre district. Safe location especially for out of towners. Very unhelpful staff. Despite a reservation for a queen sized bed - was told it was a "request only" - the whole check in process took forever - she took 20 mins to prove that it was a "request" not a definite […] and implied to me that she did have one queen bed available but since it was a request only - she would not accomodate me. Not a great impression ! Room was really small - even by NYC standards !! Will not return !! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Solidly Three Stars"
The front desk staff were wonderful. They were extremely friendly, always had a smile on their faces, and were eager to help. However, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The housekeeping staff did not refill any of our toiletries and we had to ask at the front desk for them. The room was clean, but not luxurious in any way. The hotel was […] advertised as a four-star hotel, which caused a lot of disappointment on our part. It is definitely NOT a four star hotel. I would consider it to be solidly 3 stars. The location was excellent - just steps from Times Square. The room was indeed small, but that is to be expected in this location, so it did not bother us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Tiny but clean rooms at a central location"
The hotel is nice and clean. The location is very central but certainly not glamorous. The room was extremely small. Barely any room to walk around the queen-size bed. There was no table or chair, since they couldn't possibly fit. Things were so tight that the light switch and the thermostat were behind the TV monitor! But it was still pleasant and […] it did the job. I might even consider it again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"This was ok"

"Small room but convenient location"
We attended a wedding across the street at the Hudson Theater so the location was perfect. The room was very small and on the street so the noise level was high. The staff were not unpleasant but didn't go out of their way. Perfectly ok hotel but ask for a room off the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When we arrived they gave us a room that was ridiculously tiny for two people, especially given what we were paying (even for NYC). We complained and were able to switch to a much more reasonable room for the balance of our stay. One we made the switch our appreciation of the hotel increase significantly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Big Squeeze"
Despite the excellent location and cleanliness of the room it is impossible to call this any sort of value for the price given the incredibly tiny room size, I'd guess about 90 sq ft,total. There is no room for suitcases and you may as well be in the bathroom with the other person given the proximity of the toilet to the bed. Granted you may spend most […] of your time outside but it is not easy to relax in the comfort of your room when there is barely space for the bed and no space for a standard ironing board (which is why they provide one of those 'doll house' boards where your clothes actually look more wrinkled when you're done). "Would Only Recommend for Location"
The location for this hotel was AMAZING and really worth the rate to be this close to 42nd and Time Square. However the bed was way too firm and I believe was a full size not the queen I requested. The walls were very thin and the overall room was very small. But it was perfect if you don't want to spend much time in your room. The local pub The Long […] Room was perfect for a late night cap and the Cafe Un Deux Trio was ideal for breakfast in the morning. Everything is easily within walking distance including the Subway. For the price and location this hotel works, however if you want any relaxing time in the hotel please do not select this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"TINY BEDROOM BUT IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION!"
The negatives and the positives are about the same. We liked the price, amazing location, good bed and pretty quiet hotel. We were in the minority as most people there are foreign. Hated not having a table or chair in the room and searching for someplace to put our suitcase, coats, and clothes. Rooms are about the size of a cruise ship but the bathroom […] is bigger than cruise ship. Location makes it all worthwhile! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location in the heart of the theater distric"
Very nice hotel in the heart of the theater district with 2 restaurants on either side. The room was nicely decorated but very small...no room for a chair or desk or any place to put your suitcase except on the floor or on the bed. Also, no ice machines.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
