Hotel room was really small but clean and very convenient to everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was perfectly located for our needs. It was very clean but just had basic furniture, no desk and no kleenex.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was pretty clean, just older and not as up to date but wouldn't have traded that for the location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Front desk and concierge were not very friendly. Maid was very good and helpful. No thermostat to control temp of room. Had to open window that had no screen. The location was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room smelled a little musty, but it was clean and comfortable. Very no-frills. Simply a place to lay your head for the night. Great price for the location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super Convenient for Times Square"
Was there for the marathon this year. Can't get a much more convenient location for Times Square. The hotel was great, and a pretty good deal for that area. If you get a room on the "inside" of the building (i.e. not street-side), hopefully it's not too hot. It was pretty chilly outside, but the room had NO air circulation even with the window open. […] That said, clean, helpful service (most of the time), and they let us store our luggage for a couple hours before we caught our bus back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean and comfortable, basic amenities met. Great location, one block from Broadway and theaters. Price of room great considering it was Friday night in midtown. I will come back here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"EXCELLENT COST BENEFIT"
EXCELLENT. YOU CAN WALK TO TIMES SQUARE.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near Times Square"
Enjoyed our stay, though the room was a bit stuffy. Could open the window, but it was COLD out. This is a basic hotel. Clean. Just off Times Square, so location is great. Will return if opportunity presents.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"manageable for one night"
would not stay there again. Hotel very outdated, padded elevators, hard beds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location, but horrible rooms"
The beds were absolutely like cardboard and the walls are so thin we had the pleasure of listening to the neighboring rooms' "activities" all night long. It's half a block from Times Square, but so are a great deal of hotels, some with similar rates but better amenities and furnishings, I will check out one of them next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Concierge service staff was terrible. talked on her cell phone and made us wait a while before attending to us...and she didn't hang up. Was not engaged in her job and did not help with needs. Matress...hard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and okay for the price"
Small, out of date, and no-frills, BUT a great location just barely off Times Square at a very reasonable price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Be careful that the toilet doesnt overflow"
While the hotel was convenient to many things we wanted to see in NYC, the service was not good and amenities practically non existent. It was a warm afternoon in early November but there was no air conditioning in the room. And, at 6:30 am, the toilet wouldn't flush. Upon calling the desk, the person there said all he could do was bring us a plunger!!Not […] exactly what one would expect. Hotel on Times Square. Very close to major theaters. Room small but nice and very clean. Would stay there again, especially to see some Broadway shows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good location but would stay elsewhere"
Front desk and concierge to busy studying their phone or computers to address you .The elevators wouldnt fit you and the luggage rack. The rooms were stuffy. no a.c and no ventilation in the rooms and the beds was liking sleeping on the floor. the windows had no curtains just old mini blinds, couldnt open the window because there wasn't a screen. "If you're doing Broadway on a budget, this is it"
the hotel was most convenient. great staff. cozy place. for Manhattan budget hotels this is the place. room was clean, not many amenities but if you wanted a place to lay your head for the night after touring NYC, this is the hotel for you. so convenient to Times Square, subways, great cafe, convenience store next door. i would definitely stay here […] again. the cons are, construction outside noisy, the heater clicked on and off. bring your own toiletries and shampoo. rental lockers, bathrooms, change/lounge area available in case of late flight. free WiFi was a plus. To/from LGA or JFK airports convenient with a short walk to the subway and quick bus to LGA or skytrain to JFK. don't pay ridiculous NYC hotel prices, stay here for a reasonable rate, Manhattan standards, and enjoy the city. I love the hotel because of the location but the toilet kept running and the heat was up very high and could not be controlled. The staff there is very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The worst hotel I have every stayed at !"
I do a lot of traveling for my job and have stayed at many hotels, domestic and international, I have to say that this is the worst hotel I have every stayed at ! They advertise concierge services (yeah right), this person was so rude and grouchy every time you approached her. She is there to serve the guests and every time we asked anything from her […] she basically told us that we can do it on our own. I brought this to the attention of the manager and she took her side. This hotel has no vending machines, no ice machines, not even the hair dryer worked. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE ! "Very Old Hotel"
Stayed in a King Room 714, daughter stayed in a Queen Room 705. Good Points - staff very helpful, close to Times Square, great bars and food on the block, and lockers to store your luggage before and after checkin/checkout. Bad points - beds were very very firm. Construction outside the hotel through 3am. Daughter's room radiator wrapped with cloth […] and made loud clunking noise all night. Queen room bathroom you can sit down and reach out to wash your hands at the same time. Stains on the sheets. King Room - carpet was ripped and stained and there was red scuff type marks on the outside of the tub. This hotel is in need of some serious renovations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"very close to theater attended twice"
the staff was very helpful, calling on my behalf to re confirm my airport shuttle and i would definitely return to this hotel even though the room seemed chilly to this southern Californian on the first nightGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, unkempt hotel needs a freshing up"
Great location, but a little update would be nice. Feels like your in an old European hotel (not in a good way). Stay off lower floors as they are louder. Dark rooms, dated, a little dingy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay"
Hotel is in great location. Had walked by it many times, but never thought to stay there. Small rooms, but great rates and good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to all must-see sights"
If you're looking to spend 1 night in a clean, reasonably priced and centrally located hotel, this is it. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable to sleep in and the bedding was good quality. We got there before our room was ready and had to pay to store our luggage. I guess everything is ala carte in NYGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are cozy but well appointed. Maid service was prompt and any extra requests were quickly met. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Concierge service was also prompt but check out other amenities before accepting theirs as they tend to find more expensive options.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"a little hidden jem"
Steps from times square, this small, but clean hotel was everything a tourist could want: price, cleanliness, convenience. No frills, but we weren't looking for that...perfect!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"one block from Radio City Music Hall"
I booked with hotels.com so for the price it was fair. But the beds were lined with plastic under the sheets that made sleeping not ideal, not to mention the building next to our windows had flashing lights all night. Even though we closed our shades it the light still radiated through our windows. Other than those two inconveniences not bad.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There 3 nights. First room had no a/c & room was hot. The window was opened; there was some type of loud machinery which ran all night. The next night were moved to a room where an a/c had been installed in the window, but the blind only came as far as the unit, so we had to hang a towel off the blind for privacy. (There was an office bldg. next door). […] The toilet stopped up once (was immediately repaired). Bring your own coffee pot. Hotel offers no amenities. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"CLOSE TO ALL+ A BIG ROOM"
We had not been to NYC for some years. We were really happy with our hotel selection because our room had a window, and a king size bed WITH lot's of space around the bed. I mention this because we all know that you cannot expect much for less than $300 in NY these days. Also, the hotel has lockers for $5.00 that hold 3+ pieces of luggage when you need […] to store it before or after your flight. It was a crowded weekend for the city as the UN (Presidents?) Conference was going on as well as some important baseball games (and maybe football as well). As for LOCATION, we were so close to Times Sq., Rock. Ctr., the theaters. All of those including the train were within a 2-5 minute. And, the Port Authority, for those who want easy access to JFK or LaGuardia, was a 12 minute walk for a $16.50 bus ride to the airport. We were there in 35 min! But then again it was a weekend. On 6th Ave. there is a street market between 42nd and Central Park on Saturdays. Don't know how long into the fall/winter that goes. Outstanding - the location was perfect for my needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nothing fancy about this hotel but the staff are nice, the room was clean and not a bad size. You can't beat the location. The deli's next to the hotel have some really good NY food. If you want a refrigerator, room service, mini bar etc then go pay for a high price room. If you just need a decent place to stay while enjoying NY then this is the place. "Great Hotel in the Middle of Broadway"
Hotel is small; rooms are older but very clean and spacious. This was the quietest room in NYC I have ever stayed in. Elevators are small and like most in the city a bit shabby. Staff is great, room was very comfortable. Very close to Broadway shows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Fantastic location! Rooms small but very clean. Front desk service friendly and efficient. Had a very quite room facing back of hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"3 steps up"
No doorman to help you here. As a matter of fact, you can't even wheel your suitcase in because there are 3 steps up to the level of the hotel so you have to lug your heavy suitcase up those steps all by yourself. The person at the desk or concierge aren't particularly friendly. No coffee/tea in the lobby or your room. Be prepared to run to the store […] next door for any of your needs. This place is totally bare bones. It's only redeeming quality is that it is near the theaters. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"NYC under construction !!"
The hotel was what I expected it to be. There was construction going on that I feel Hotels.com should have made us aware of. Otherwise it was a two star hotel with a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Lobby, hotel about a one and half star."
Stay itself pk. One of 2 elevators went out, not useable on Sunday. Did not get wake up call on Saturday even though the desk man inserted it.The conceirge booked a car for us on Sat, pocketed tip, but had not communicated exact location of deztination to driver or his co screwed up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"People complain too much!"
I found this to be a perfectly clean, incredibly located hotel. A little bit old, yes, but why would I care about that? The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was perfect, the people were helpful and the location is unbeatable. Would not think twice about coming back, actually, I probably will.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything"
The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. It served its purpose of just somewhere to sleep, lets face it you dont go to New York to spend all your time in your room. The only thing I wasnt a fan of and that was the fan! The only A/C of the room and it barely cooled the room down and was extremely noisy, so leaving it on whilst sleeping was not […] an option. The location of the hotel was AMAZING and I was walking distance to pretty much everything so saved a lot of money on not having to take taxis. overall this was a good hotel, not the best but i would stay there again if I ever go back Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to Time Square but not clean!!"
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location is good. The rooms were filthy...mold in the bathrooms. The wall AC was loud and needed to be repaired. There are no services at all. The wallpaper was pealing off the walls and there were huge holes in the carpet. Would not recommend this to anyone. I felt the price was too high for what […] you got.
