"Very Clean and Comfortable"
I chose the location because it is relatively close to where the BOLT bus drops off. The person at the front desk was helpful, but the only one there, so he was taking calls as well as checking in guests. Our room was on the top (15th) floor, which was fairly quiet, because there were only 4 room on that floor. Weekend breakfast is available until 10:30, […] which is nice. The only drawback was that the hotel only has one elevator, so you can wait for a while. The room was very clean and I found the bed comfortable, though the pillows were small. "Unfriendly Staff"
The hotel was under construction and smelled like pain and saw dust. When my boyfriend and I tired to check in the receptionist said my room was not ready. We sat in the lobby (directly across from the receptionist desk) to wait and witnessed an employee curse out the manager in the middle lobby. The receptionist also decided to leave the building for […] a lunch break, before checking us in. The room was small but clean. We had a problem with the toilet and were handed a plunger to fix it. Being cautious about the bedbug problem at hotels etc, my husband and I came prepared with sticky rollers, lysol etc. As soon as we arrived in the room we place all luggage and bags on top of the desk, and tore apart the bedding checking the mattress and headboard and area surrounding it. I used the sticky paper roller to roll onto the carpet and did […] not find any bed bug activity but we did find that the hotel did not regularly vacuum areas other than the path around the bed. The sticky paper picked up lots of debris but no bugs. We make it a habit of cleaning the phone, remote to the tv and handles of doors and areas in the bathroom with Lysol. "Comfort Inn Conv Centre - short walk to Times Sq"
Great location! We were able to walk to Times Sq which is where a lot of tourist stuff is based e.g. the bus tours. The rooms are not big but that is normal in NY I think. They were clean and had everything we needed - TV, hair dryer, closet, safe, bath/shower, toilettries. Breakfast was quite good considering it was included in the rate. Chambre pas très grande mais au calme côté arrière de l'hôtel (rare pour New York!) et confortable. Très propre et personnel sympa. La salle du petit déjeuner est toute petite donc prévoir de se lever tôt pour ne pas se bousculer mais bon dans l'ensemble. Le quartier n'est pas top mais le métro n'est qu'à quelques rues... Comfort Inn Convention Center ligger 4-5 kvartaler unna Times Square så er i gåavstand til det meste rundt Midtown. Rommene er ikke akkurat romslige, men er du i New York så er det nok ikke for å sitte på hotellrommet. Resepsjonen er vennlig og behjelpelig. Eneste minus er at kapasiteten ved frokosten er minimal.
