The only good thing to say about this hotel is it's locatin. The rest sucks! The rooms were dirty, cramped, work down...rat trap was found under the bed. "I have to be completely honest"
The hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly BUT the actual rooms were very outdated. The doors were rusted, and the locks were not secure. They had a lot of play in them. Also the doors looked like old bank vaults or coffin covers? Almost scary looking and pretty grungy if I have to be honest. The location is unbeatable and most of the people at the front desk are very helpful and polite. However, the Standard rooms that we stayed in were small (which we expected) and dull - in decor and lighting (which we did not expect). There was no natural light and dim bulbs so it was a tad depressing. Also, the bathroom maintenance could be better - […] the sink tended to clog and the floor tiles were cracked. Most days the housekeeping staff did a good job but some days the tub was not wiped clean and this is not excusable. The cleaning service needs to be standardized. Also, one lift was never working while we were there so we used the stairs most times. I would recommend the hotel with caution only because of the interior detailing and overall look/ambience. If you need your hotel room to simply be a base for your fun around the city, set in a very convenient location, then the Amsterdam Court Hotel is for you. The rooms themselves are unremarkable - functional, comfortable and basic - which is fine if you are just intending to wake up there in the morning, crash out there at night, and possibly pop back […] in to freshen up or drop off heavy shopping throughout the day. That's exactly what we did the two seperate times that we have stayed here, and we had a lovely time on each occasion. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of the theatre district and close to subways, shops and walkable tourist destinations. I wouldn't stay here if I was planning on a trip that required a lot of time spent inside the hotel because it's nothing much to write home about and its services beyond basic accomodation are fairly minimum - but if you're just looking for somewhere convenient to lay your head and take a shower each day in-between activities around the city, then this hotel comes highly recommended. "Nice hotel, recently renovated and well located."
Our first impression of the hotel when we first arrived was really good, specially after the bad online ratings the hotel has. The lobby and our room were recently renovated and the receptionists Vana and Karina were very kind and welcoming. I had some online purchases delivered prior to my arrival and there weren't any fees charged. The bathroom was […] modern and gladly didn't have a bathtub, which meant that I could finally fit under a shower in the USA. The only downside was that the room was a bit tiny, the TV wasn't HD even though it was a LCD, and the WiFi was a bit pricy. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado. la atencion del personal es excelente. Nos han ayudado en todo lo que necesitabamos. "Cómodo"
El hotel es bastante cómodo porque está cerca de Times Square y al lado tiene diferentes líneas de metro. La habitación está bien y su tamaño también, aunque bastante anticuada y la ducha del baño no dejaba de gotear porque los grifos no funcionaban bien. La cama era muy cómoda. Os recomiendo que no contratéis con ellos un taxi para ir al aeropuerto […] porque el tio que llevaba el servicio tenía mucha jeta y nos pedía propina por todo después de haber concertado con él un precio... Y en recepción tampoco es que brillarán por su amabilidad. Pero me quedo con la cama y su situación en la ciudad que eran los aspectos más importante para nosotros porque en realidad la habitación sólo la utilizas para dormir y asearte. Vi hadde ikke store forventninger til hotellet etter å ha lest andre anmeldelser, men ble forsåvidt positivt overrasket. Vi var 5 personer som reiste, og hadde med en person som bruker rullestol. Denne personen fikk tilrettelagt rom for rullestolbrukere, men rommet er såpass lite at dersom du kan ikke bevege deg rundt uten rullestol er ikke dette rommet […] godt nok. Ellers var de andre rommene av ok kvalitet. Rommene ble ikke vasket før 15-16 tiden, men dette merket vi jo lite til da vi var ute mesteparten av dagen. Ellers var rommene små og bare preg av en del slitasje. Beliggenheten er fantastisk, 2 minutter å gå til Times Square, Broadway og mange andre store attraksjoner, bare dette i seg selv er grunn nok til å velge hotellet. Vi fikk hjelp av betjeningen på hotellet til å reservere billetter til et broadway show. Vi fikk ikke beskjed av dem at billettene vi fikk var kjøpt av billetthaier, vi trodde nemlig at de hjalp oss å kjøpe billetter fra et billettkontor, dermed endte vi opp med å betale 400 dollar for billetter som egentlig kostet 69 dollar. Dette informerte de oss ikke om, slik at vi trodde dette var reelle priser. Beliggenhed tæt på Tmes square, men det er også det eneste positive. Hotellet virker slidt værelset vi boede på var det værste jeg nogensinde har set, intet sollys nåede ind i værelset.
