Since 1926, the family-owned Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel has brought a bit of the Irish to Midtown Manhattan. "One of the oldest hotels in NY"
Thanks to Fitzpatrick our stay in NY was less pleasant than we though it would be. The only plus was very nice and helpful staff and bathroom. The carpets were dirty, the furniture was really old and full of scratches. Another annoying thing was small trash bags. Dear management, please buy bigger ones. "Tired and unkept"
Wow, has this hotel gone downhill in the last year. Although the staff is pleasant the hotel itself is not maintained. The room rugs and curtains were heavily soiled. Mars and nicks to the furniture could easily be repaired but are not, the elevator and room doors are dirty, the lights in hallway and rooms all need cleaning. Coffee spills are not cleaned […] up in the elevator. They have a doorman and valet service but no one was at the door when we arrived or in the next five times we left and returned to the building.
