"Small pool, buzzing TV"
The room was small but comfortable. The TV was small, and had a persistent buzz. Plus, I had to turn it on and off manually. The bathtub would not plug, so I had to call the engineer. The biggest disappointment for me was the pool. This is a splash pool and NOT a lap pool. It is only 15 yards in length. To the hotel's credit, they do list the dimensions […] of the pool on their website, something that ALL hotels should do. I simply did not see this information on their website before booking. Otherwise, I would have booked a different hotel. Also, there are plans to replace the TVs. But, I will try a different hotel the next time I am in NY. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small rooms, 3* service."
We were not impressed with this hotel, it was more on par with a 3* chain hotel than a luxury hotel. Service was slow, rooms were small (even by NYC hotel standards), and rooms are in desperate need of being refurbished with very old "central light" controls that look like a home made push button box, small TV, and no room features normally associated […] with a hotel of this supposed class. "Peninsula NYC"
Great building and location suffering from poor service. They forgot turndown service, asked what newspapers we wanted then failed to bring them, and painful service at Fives restaurant. Non smoking floor had strong cigarette smoke problems yet staff seemed to not care. A real disappointment for the price and well below the Peninsula standard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
