Though Milford Plaza doesn't have a restaurant of its own, Restaurant Row on West 46th Street is just 1 block away. Representing cuisines from more than a dozen countries, this block-long strip makes the perfect pre-theater dinner destination. After the show, return to one of the area's nightclubs for cocktails and live jazz.
The Milford will accept packages for all arriving and in house guests. Packages should not be sent to the hotel until 3 days prior to the guest arrival. The Milford will apply package handling fee to each item received at the hotel loading dock. The helpful staff will provide you with needed information and assistance.
At the end of a night on the town, retreat to your guestroom and enjoy the included 32-inch TV with cable channels and wireless and wired Internet access (surcharge). If you left your laptop at home, the hotel's 24-hour business center (surcharges may apply) provides computers with high-speed Internet access and printing (convenient for boarding passes). Bathrooms have shower/tub combinations.

"Don't Stay Here until Renovations are Done!"
Hotel is undergoing major renovations right now. Elevator access is limited; check in/check out is chaos as part of the lobby area is closed off. Guest luggage is piled ceiling high in the lobby. Room is adequate in size with excellent heating/cooling system but the bathroom is AWFUL. There is no hook for towels/bathrobes or shelf to place toiletries […] on, and the sliding door to the bathroom is extremely difficult to close. The only "dresser" in the room is 3 separate drawers placed at floor level. The hallways are poorly lit. There is absolutely NO literature in the room regarding the hotel or surroundings. Housekeeping barged into our room without knocking on our first day of stay. Restaurant was closed due to renovations, though this was not indicated at the time of our reservation. The Milford was a great hotel. Perfect location - so close to the theaters and restaurants! Unfortunately it is under construction which wasn't a problem until the last day when we were trying to leave and the elevators were swamped and not working. Good hotel stay, great location. Construction was not a problem during the stay. Elevator use was cool once you learn how to use them. LOL. recommend stay to anyone esp since the price was great compared to other hotels. Hotel held our bags for free until 10pm, we only needed 7pm after we checked out. "Needs Improvements"
We stayed here only because of the lower rates and last minute change of plans. Cmpared to the other hotels in the area the price was right especially for being in times square a prime nyc location. We got here and the building was under a lot of rennovation, understandable when you see how the lobby looked. We came earlier than planned and after checking […] in the lady told us we weren't able to get into our room until after 4 pm, it was only 11am. Luckily I asked the lovely concierge and manager looking man where to check in our luggage and he went above expectations and got us a room on the spot! Very sweet of him and helped prevent us from placing our belongings in the sea of other customers stuff. The room was small and crammy for two doubles but it was decent. And the decor was pretty cool and futuristic modern. We got a room that had a city view which was very nice. The 24 hr gym was nice, good quality machines to use with tvs so no need for an ipod. Ice machines on every other floor, found that weird! Some staff were great to talk to, others just seemed to have attitude. "Good hotel, great place"
This was the perfect place to spend the weekend in midtown Manhattan. We got here Friday early evening, and the line was long and the lobby was crazy to check in. In general, the downstairs of this hotel is total chaos- but once you get up to your room I was surprised how quiet and peaceful it was. The room itself was great- plenty of space for 3 girls […] and all of their stuff for the weekend. Although we did realize that the air in our room didn't work (it was unnaturally hot and tried to call the room down before bed) and when we called they said that they couldn't do anything to help us that night, which was slightly frustrating. "Perfect Times Square Location"
The hotel is just minutes away from Times Square and the price was reasonable for its location. However, I was disappointed at the condition of the room as it was somewhat dirty and not kept up-to-date. It is a great location. Just steps away from Times Square and all te Broadway shows. I was in for leisure fun and got to go to different events like shows, comedies, movies, etc. all in the neighborhood. Definitely no car was needed unless you want to go out of the immediate neighborhood. Even so, all you have to do is be careful of traffic. Great location […] and nice hotel. "Under Renovation"
I booked this hotel based on location and price. Location was great. Price was only slightly less than other hotels. The hotel is undergoing major renovations so there are no extras. The business center is 3 computers in their postage stamp size lobby. There is no cable or TV listing anywhere. When I asked the concierge for a list of channels they were […] all wrong. The hotel was very busy but my room was pretty quiet. The guest services person was nice about my concerns. The lamps in my room did not work and maintenance came pretty quickly (the plug was loose and behind the bed so It was hard to access). There is no full length mirror and the closet and bathroom were very small. The only mirror is in the bathroom and if you are short, you won't see much of yourself in it. "Disappointed"
For starters each time I had gone into line to either check in, get a new key, or check out. Took about 30 minutes in line. THE ABSOLUTE LONGEST, SLOWEST, front desk I have EVER experienced. And there was even 4 or 5 staff at the front. Just extremely slow. One of the days the maids never came, and I had shrimp left in my garbage which smelled horrible […] the next day. Then the next day the maids never came until about 5pm! One of the MORNINGS 8AM, there was drill saws sound RIGHT outside of my window. I could not sleep at all. All things being equal, there were other hotels in the same price range and also in Times Square, and if I had known the lobby was undergoing massive renovation, I would have chosen one of the other hotels. Great location next to all major broadway shows and Times Square. Very busy lobby. Room was larger than I expected, very modern, loved the electronic blind and blackout. Comfy bed, air conditioning worked great, which is very important in the Summer heat. You don't need an alarm or wake up call, because all the sirens, alarms, trucks, etc, will wake […] you up early enough. The only thing I didn't like was a smell of mildew in the bathroom that wouldn't go away, is like they mopped the floor with a dirty mop that never dried, or maybe it was the shower curtain. Shower curtains need to be dried appropriately. Also something we found odd and in bad taste was that when we checked our luggage the bellman asked for a tip in advance. Almost demanded a tip. We Always tip after picking up our luggage and dont expect an employee to demand a tip to watch your luggage.Other than that I would definitely stay there again. Good service : We had asked for a fridge at check in, it was delivered and ready when we got back to hotel for the night. We had asked for an extra hair conditioner, it was delivered within 20mins. Not so great room condition : Although the room was very clean and comfortable, the water turned brown periodically while I was in the shower, and it continued […] to be that way for our 2 nights of stay. I can assure you that our windows are double-paned to minimize street noise but 8th Avenue is a main artery in the "city that never sleeps" and we are sincerely sorry for any lost sleep!

"Good Location, Good Price"
I've been to New York City before, but never on my own so this was the first time I was in charge of the booking process. The Milford made it easy for me to choose to stay there with it's low price in a really good location and all new rooms. It was a little tough to check in because we were young and inexperienced, but the staff was really nice for […] the most part and took care of all our problems. Nice clean rooms with really comfy beds. My only concern was how dirty and dusty the windows were, but that's a small concern when checking out the view. Just a little down the street is McDonalds and about a block away is Times Square. Great location and cheap for what it is, and I would recommend it to anyone else.
