Intimate hotel, pricey but worth the splurge. Excellent service, esp. recs from the concierge re: restaurants, hair, nail salons. Small but well-equipped... gym. Helpful staff in all areas. Regular king room was large enough by New York standards, well-appointed, very comfortable bed. Luxurious marble bath with full tub and shower, high end cosmetics Only minus was my croissant and coffee for $21.00 in the hotel restaurant. The Lowell felt a bit off the beaten path, in a good way. The entire staff was efficient, friendly and incredibly helpful with any questions or concerns. The Lowell had a level of comfort and style that I wish more hotels would strive for. A/c not working and had to have unit replaced while we were in room. Would have preferred it done on hotel time not ours. We were not crazy about overhall done with our bed sheets being exposed to unknown toxins.We think we might have gotten the broken a/c unit because we booked through Hotels.com and not directly with hotel. IT's a little bit old-fashioned. The room was lovely, though the furnishings dated and the carpet slightly stained. Bathroom was gorgeous. A lovely hotel for the older set...just a bit stuffy. Very expensive.
