We have included all charges provided to us by this hotel. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the room you book.
Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.see all hotels in New York
They tried to make us pay more as we arrived, room small bathroom ridiculously small. Terrible check in experience. Close to times sq, a bit noisy from street and under construction. Lousy signage a bit hard to find. Would not recommend staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I do not recommend this hotel at all"
The location of this hotel was great, however the size and luxury of the room was very displeasing. The website is not at all the style of the room and it made my trip very unpleasant, it was truly false advertisement.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Service in the hotel is terrible, we were arriving to NYC in a late flight, so we called in advance to make sure the room would be fine. When we got to the hotel we were informed that, despite having prepaid our stay and calling in advance that the hotel was overbooked. We were sent to the Shoreham, equally bad, only to receive a room that smelled like […] cigarettes. The next day, as we had to check out of the other hotel by noon, we were only allowed to check in to the Mansfield at 3PM. Complete disrespect to customers. When we finally got to our rooms cleaning was so poor that they had forgot the underwear from previous guests hanging in our bathroom door. Finally, it is impossible to use internet most of the time. Front desk at all times were not helpful and had an impolite attitude. Best, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beware Cancellation Policy"
We had a last minute cancellation on our business trip. Despite having booked 3 rooms, we got ZERO credit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unclean, unhelpful, uncaring"
We booked our hotel and the rate said double bed or queen bed. Most hotels that say that either give an option when checking in, of if there is more than one guest automatically give you the queen bed. We were given a double bed. When we went to ask about getting a larger bed we were told "we are all booked" then the worker turned away from us effectively […] ignoring us. The room was dirty. We expected a small room, it is New York City, but there was huge dust build-up in the corners. The framing for the bathroom door was seperated from the wall and you could see all sorts of dust build up in the opening. All the fixtures has dust on them. Our bedding had "HOSTLE" written on it in black marker. Every time we passed the reception desk the workers were complaining (sometimes about work and sometimes about personal issues). The internet didn't work in our room for the entire 4 days we were there. They told us the internet was down for the entire block, but I find it difficult that the internet would be down for an entire city block in NYC for that amount of time without it being fixed as buisness can't run without it these days. The neighborhood is nice, and it is very close to theaters, Broadway, Time Square, and Radio City Music Hall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Done with Expedia!"
Never Again! I booked this hotel using Expedia over 6 weeks ago. My friends and I had 4 reservations there and all 8 of us showed up at 4pm on check in day only to be told that they had no room for any of us and they had booked us at a sister hotel the Shoreham which was "only 10 blocks away"! The new hotel was terrible and the situation totally ruined […] our trip to New York. The Mansfield and Expedia should have contacted us in more time so we could have chosen another hotel for our trip. Never using Expedia again and would NOT recommend The Mansfield Hotel or The Shoreham Hotel in NYC. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Third World Disaster in NYC"
The first room we were given -- the toilet overflowed all over the floor before we had even unpacked. We then got another room in which the air conditioning was so loud it rattled the windows and we had to purchase ear-plugs in order to get any sleep at all. Breakfast was a disaster as well -- the staff were fighting and yelling at each other in the […] restaurant -- and the food was disgusting. Then, when we got the bill, they had had the audacity to add an 18% tip without even asking us -- how presumptuous when the service was non existent. This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world -- and that includes hotels in India and Pakistan. God help America if this is an indication of things to come.
"Mansfield Hotel, Times Square - not recommended"
This hotel looked good in the description and photos but was a disappointment. The location is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, we paid for a deluxe room which was extremely small and shower/toilet was also very small (only one person could fit in there at a time). Also elevators very very small. Very noisy ventilation system and […] overall a very "old" hotel with bad maintenance. This is more a 3-star hotel and too expensive for what you get.
Genuine Expedia guest review
