    It worked perfectly for 4 of us to stay in one standard room with 2 double beds. I was worried about the elevators taking a long time, but we had no... problems with long waits for elevators. The location was perfect and we felt safe walking around the area late at night. The beds were very comfortable. We were informed by the hotel that they would be upgrading the internet on our floor and as such, required us to checkout in a timely manner. Checkout was listed as 11am.     This hotel is purely awesome. Staff, service, and location were all great. How can you beat being right across the street from the Halal Guys, Central Park, and all the major subway stops. Even the hotel bar / lounges were the best and the fitness center was decent too! I will stay here every time I go to NYC!!

Check-in was a nightmare - there were 40-50 people ahead of me when I arrived at 11 pm and literally a hundred kids running around the lobby from some sort of NYC tour. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate guests to the best of their ability.     Very good. Signs on the doors inviting customers to join Hilton Honors listed Wi Fi in the room. After joining, we discovered it's only for Gold members. That's misleading. They also don't give Hilton points if you reserve through other than Hilton. Friendly staff and accommodating on check out time when we needed to stay a bit late to attend a Parkinson's […] walk in Central Park. It's right near MOMA, which is free on Friday nights. Like typically there is probably only 1 person in the bed - and they sleep on the side with the night stand. So the opposite side of the bed slanted in that direction. Not a huge thing. The hotel is in a great location with a few blocks to Times Square in one direction and a few blocks to great shopping in the other direction.     Hilton Midtown is quiet, clean and very well maintained, with a courteous helpful staff. Rooms are quite large, by NYC standards and very comfortable. Location is a bit removed from Times Square/theatre district attractions (about a $10 cab ride (with tip) or a short subway ride). Would definitely stay there again.

    This hotel was very convenient to the subway, and cabs were alway readily available. Service was nice, and the gym was pretty big. Will definitely stay here next time we coe back to NY.

    This Hilton tries hard. Great, friendly staff. But the thing is just too big and when you have to wait in line for minutes to get on an elevator, has design problems. And the shower seemed not to want to work despite repairs... Twice

    The location is fantastic, in the middle of everything you'd like to see in between Central Park and Times Square. The room was dirty, espcially the bathroom. The tub flooded and the exhaust vent didn't appear to be cleaned in months. The carpets were dirty as well.     The room was spotless, the staff checked on us every day. They were very friendly and accommodating. Even though the hotel was very busy, we were very comfortable. The location is great-central to theatre and museums. We hope to stay there again in the future. The food stand right outside the hotel was fabulous, too!

    Absolutely loved the location of the Hilton NY. None of the congestion of Times Square hotels, but central to everything. Top notch from the lobby on up to the room. Very clean (a must in my book!) and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel. I know we will stay here on our future visits to the city.

    We arrived in NYC after a 5 hour drive from Virginia. We were not able to check-in early as the reservation desk said no rooms were available until 3pm. Luckily we were able to check our bags in a section of the lobby so that we could go pick up a race packet for the NYC Half Marathon the following day. The lobby of the hotel was a madhouse with at […] least 100 St. Patty's Day revelers laid out, cursing, yelling, partying, etc. Not sure all were hotel guests but no matter. We never got a call informing that a room was available but when we returned to the hotel around 4pm we were able to check in. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable which is the main thing I normally care about, but no access to a mini-fridge to store our drinks. We requested and were granted an early wake up call and late check-out. The late check out was especially important due to the race the next morning. I would've loved to give the hotel 5 stars if not for the negative experience when picking up my vehicle in the parking garage. We were charged $91 for parking. That's right, $91 for an overnight stay. Ridiculous ripoff for a 26 hour, 8 minute stay. Of course, had we known we'd be charged for a 10 hour stay for only 2 hours 8 minutes, we might of decided to leave the car and walk around the City to get our money's worth. $91! Having recently stayed elsewhere in Manhattan, it's pretty safe to say we wont be back anytime soon. It's a shame because the room was nice enough. Read more
