Pros: clean room, renovations are done, bed had both soft AND firm pillows for me to choose from, shower had great water pressure, many convenient outlets for my electronics, let me borrow a mini-fridge on request, thanks! "Free wifi and modern comfy lobby"
I booked the hotel because of Free wifi. They are very generous about it. Starbucks is next door and you can get a coffee and use the wifi hang out at very comfortable clean lobby. One negative thing is they charge per luggage at bell service. I had to ask them to hold my luggage for a little while after checkout. "Great location"

While there were renovations being carried out during our stay, it didn't bother us as we were out & about sightseeing most of the time. The room was clean and the furnishings were up to date. The bed was comfortable too. "Good hotel"
Our time there was great, its close to grand central terminal and there is a subway station 3 blocks away, the staff is really friendly, the only problem was that when we got there our room wasn't ready and it was some hours after the time we could have check in so I'm glad we arrived late, because of that problem they gave us courtesy breakfast which […] was nice. The hotel is nice, but watch out for the noisy renovations going on just now. Apparently they'll be going on until July 2013. "Unexpected gem"
I had a quick overnight trip to NYC and chose this hotel because if its Midtown location and proximity to Grand Central. While there are renovations going on in the lobby and I guess the fitness center is closed (never a consideration for me when picking a hotel) the hotel was wonderful.
