Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.

"almost a perfect experience"
this was my second trip to this hotel. any hilton is always in my short list of places where i know i can stay and have a constant experience, except for this one. it has the faintest whiff of the old days when people were able to smoke (sort of like a train car that used to be a smoking car). when i went to take a shower, there was a used washcloth […] in the bathtub which was... discolored. otherwise, the people who work there are GREAT and the bed was clean and i wasnt at all worried about bedbugs. the room was quiet. the only other thing i would mention that did not make me happy was that i had a hard checkout at 12pm there was no late option. either buy a full day for even more than i had already paid for the first one or go. that is the first time that has ever happened to me in the city and i have rented hundreds of rooms over the years. i stay here if its the only option in the range i want to pay, thats already on my "approved hotel list" its at the bottom. it only makes it onto the list because my first time there didnt include the dirty washcloth. i did get some great sleep there. "Great location for Broadway Shows."
Perfect location for our visit. The room was a decent size .... for NYC. Room renovations are taking place, but in no way interfered with our enjoyment, (didn't hear any noise). Parking was convenient and 'only' $30 a night....cheap for NYC!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staff is great!"
Location is good. Ran to Central Park and into Times Square. Staff is amazing and very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was at a good location. However, the facility didn't have a laudry room. To do the laundry, we had to walk about blocks with a laundry bag. My husband and I expected more because of the price we had to pay. The price for the parking was also expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Around the corner from Times Sq."
The Room was very modern, bright and comfortable, albeit small. Seems like it was just renovated and it had that new car scent, if you will.Getting it at a discount I wouldn't expect the best view, then again it is the city. It was noisy from within the hotel though. My room was next to the service closet for the staff. Since I was mostly out of the room […] all day it didn't matter to me. If I was there on business though, it would have been annoying. It was thankfully quiet at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable stay; no unpleasant surprises"
You surely get your money's worth with Hilton Garden Inn. I stayed for 2 nights. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in short walking distance to the Time Square; surrounded by theaters. You probably can't go wrong with this one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overnight in NYC Business Travel"
Frequent NY traveler, normally staying in Chelsea - chose this for Free wifi, reasonable rate, central midtown location, spacious room - with only two quirks, only a desk chair to sit in ( plenty of room for a regular chair) and the shower didnt have any place to put anything - it was limestone or something, so when you were done withyour shampoo, you […] either had to step all the way out and put it on the sink counter, or put it on the floor - which seems unsanitary. Minor concerns. Walking distance to dozens of restaurants and the theatre district. A good value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
was very upset about the noise we were on the 2nd floor and all you heard was the subway and we tried to sleep in and was woken up early by the construction going on at the hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hilton Garden Inn 48th and 8th"
It was all that we expected and more. Great location with Pigalle resto in the lobby. Brunch was great. We walked to the Court Theater and say Breakfast at Tiffany s. We had dinner at 42West. Great Restaurant. Walked to Time Square ate NY pizza...just a great experience. The only issue was the Hilton charged me for the night and so did Hotels.com...i […] will get a refund in 7 days. "Bargain room = worst of the pick"
Hotel was clean and convenient but we got a steal for 2 queen beds on a Sunday. Our room was on the second floor right over 8th Ave and a tone of metal plates covering street construction. All night we heard them bump around with ever car that drove over them, all the street noise, and every train that passed. Even with the TV on, it was hard to get […] any rest. I wish I had just paid a little more and stayed on a side street, or gotten a better room. You get what you pay for... ? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, but wouldn't stay there again"
Overall, the stay wasn't bad. I realize they are going through a renovation, but being woken up at 8am every morning by hammering, did not allow a lot of rest - especially for theater goers or "nightclubers". On two separate occasions the housekeeping staff failed to resupply us with towels... one night we didn't have any towels! The front desk staff […] was nice, but he concierge seemed very inexperienced. Every time we asked a question (to three different concierges) they had to look up info online or refer to a map - something we can easily do without them. Lastly, the breakfast was good, but it was the same every morning - so after a week... it was difficult to wrap my taste buds around it. Overall - the location is great... but for the price and the negatives, I wouldn't choose this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hilton Hotel not just a name"
Wasn't sure about this place because it was Time Square, but surprisingly, it was the best stay in NYC. From the great service, to the French bistro, the bed & pillows you just fall into, the discount parking and central location. I didn't even realize they were renovating the place until the concierge told me because everything was so smooth. Definitely […] going back, can't beat the price! "It Was Great!"
Hi, There was a "sorry for the inconvenience while we remodel" plaque in our room and I could not determine if the room was already remodeled because everything was spotless. I'm planning another trip to NYC soon and will definitely consider this hotel for a reservation while there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed just one night to see a Broadway show. We ate dinner at Organic Restaurant and after the show went to Latin Quarter nightclub. Sunday we spent shopping and visited the new WTC. The hotel was close to Starbucks and a Drugstore LOL. Everything we needed was close by and handy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort and Convenience in the Heart of City"
Had a wonderful stay a block away from our Broadway Play. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near Times Square in the heart of the Theater District. A wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff. Four Stars across the board.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent stay in NYC."
Very clean and comfortable, parking right at the hotel and not bad for New York City at $30.00 per day with a stamped ticket from the hotel. A little noisy at night from the traffic (not the hotel`s fault) so go with an upper floor. Very attentive staff and very nice. Unless your extremely pickie this is a really great place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Awesome Times Square area hotel!"
Front desk staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming--they even warned me that there might be possible construction noise on 8th Ave in the morning and offered me room facing the back of hotel. Most comfortable beds I've had in a hotel in a long time. Close to subway and literally around the corner from Times Square. Having a frig and microwave […] in our room was a huge plus for us. Absolutely loved our stay' Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Staff, Poor Quality."
Pro: Staff was very nice and helpful and its easy to get cabs right out front. Con: My room was on the 3rd floor which got a good shake with every subway pass at the station directly below (probably better if you can get a higher floor). Also, the sheets where practically plastic.Genuine Expedia guest review
