The location was great (Park and 48th Street) in the heart of Midtown with excellent proximity to all types of dining, Rockefeller Center, shopping (Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, etc.), and the subway (both the express train at Grand Central Station and the local at 48th Street). Our experience was generally favorable with all aspects of the hotel. The only draw back to the location is it is close to the United Nations building. Which, if you have business at the UN is great but if there is something going on there ,people stay at this hotel. We had a really great stay in New York at this hotel. We were plesently surprised by how clean and comfortable our room was, much better than some hotels we have stayed in for a similar price. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, a pocas cuadras de Times Square y sobre Park Ave. Tambien tiene un par de estaciones de subte a pocas cuadras y esta muy cerca de la Grand Central Terminal (tren). La habitacion que nos toco, en un noveno piso, era hermosa, amplia, comoda y muy completa. La cama era bien grande y confortable. La tele bien ubicada, justo […] frente a la cama y con base movil para verla desde el escritorio. El baño muy amplio y completo. A la vuelta tiene un deli y algunos lugares de comida economicos y un Dean & Deluca (Felicity) a solo 2 cuadras. Esta ubicado a menos de 10 cuadras de Times Square y a unas 12 cusdras del Central Park. El personal de la recepcion y el concierge, super amables y atentos. Hasta nos dieron la habitacion a las 8am porque la tenian disponible (no vayan ahora a pedir una habitacion a las 8 porque el horario del checkin es a las 15}. El servicio de concierge te ayuda a reservar el traslado al hotel, conseguir tickets para un show, te indica los mejores puntos de la ciudad, etc. Estuve en otro hotel en mi ultimo viaje y no tiene comparacion con el Intercontinental Barclay. Lleven ropa elegante! Al menos para salir a cenar. Definitivamente vamos a volver a este hotel! Reserven con anticipacion. Har besökt NY ca 15 ggr, detta var första gången vi bodde på The Barclay. Läget är helt perfekt, nära till allt vare sig det gäller shopping, restauranger eller sevärdheter. 5-stjärnig service, vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra storlek på rummen som har kaffemaskin & minibar. Stilen är traditionell, bekväm och lite gammaldags, som vi gillar på ett förstaklasshotell. […] Mycket välstädat och rent. Vi bor gärna här igen och kan verkligen rekommendera det till andra. Några tips i närheten: Ta en drink i lobbybaren på Waldorf Astoria eller baren på W Hotel, väl värda ett besök, ligger båda i kvarteret bredvid. Grand Central Station ligger ett par kvarter bort, där finns Campbell Apartement som serverar utmärkta drinkar i en fascinerande miljö, testa!
