"turning on doesnt equal working"
Very friendly front desk staff, aged motel, comfortable bed and affordable rate. However, bathroom had peeling paint.. found out why.. vent fan turned on... well it made noise.. by time I was done showering water was running down walls, soaking my clothes on floor (very small bathroom with sink outside) ! When I touched walls, paint chips covered my […] hand! Tv remote worked maybe 5% of tries, hairdryer didn't at all. When I mentioned it to staff, she was very appologetic... however we were met in parking lot by manager who stated the hotel was old and the fan, remote and dryer all did work. I told her about the paint chips, she shrugged and said the hotel was old and they couldn't afford brand new things in all the rooms.. REALLY?!? That is was upset me! "good place to sleep close to turnpike"
few vending machines and most take only coin. Common areas very poorly maintained. Room was large but had no comfortable chairs. Internet was sporatic. Personnel were very peasant though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap Hotel"
Front desk staff: efficient and nice. General hotel condition: average at best. Room condition: below average in appearance and cleanliness. Hotel location: excellent, 5 minutes from the turnpike. Cost: very good; a bit cheaper than other nearby hotels. I will pay a little more and stay at another place next time I am in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Adequate Hotel"
The best thing I can say is the beds were comfortable, but this place could use a makeover. The towel rack over the toilet was loose. I saw at least one loose cover plate for an electrical outlet. One of the blankets was dirty, but was quickly replaced when it was pointed out to a maid. The breakfast is just cereal, toast, and bagels. Try one of the […] nearby restaurants for something more substantial. This hotel was fairly close to the convention center, which I appreciated. This hotel is adequate if you're just looking for a place to stay the night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed in Days Inns across the country and the remotes never work. I even took this one to be exchanged and the new one didn't work. Also, I went to use the phone book and someone had stuffed a Penthouse magazine inside of it. I found it funny but it could have been tragic had the children been with us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
Outdated...I was cool with they stay I pretty much knew what to expect...as I am from there and wanted to have privacy rather than staying in family's cramped apartment. So it was an inexpensive option. It was clean not immaculate like a five star but acceptable. Very convenient to food, turnpike, shopping, and entertainment. If only if only they re-decorated...sigh...but […] then it would cost more. (: Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"below average"
Despite of the good location i wouldn't recommend this hotel. There's practically no greeting, the receptionist didn't even ask for my ID, so i guess anyone could sign in instead of me. The bathroom looked dirty. The heater did not maintain temperature, so all night we had to get up to turn it on and off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for one night"
The Days Inn Manroeville was better than expected. It was a little difficult to find the entrance. But the room had newer carpet and was clean. The condition of the bathroom was in need of improvement and I would have never used the coffee maker. I read reviews before we booked and honestly I didn't expect it to be as clean and nice as it was. For the […] price ...I would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"i've stayed in better + worse for this price range"
this hotel was completely mediocre. clean enough, but not fantastic. easily located next to the highway, but hidden behind the AAA, so not incredibly easy to find. sandpaper towels, cheap-o tiny shampoo / conditioner packets, cringe-worthy old school motel bedspread. but they have decent free breakfast in the morning, and it's an okay place to just […] get some sleep for a night. "Very average but OK for its price"
Expedia would not give name of the hotel until I paid. Then I read reviews of other travelers about Days Inn, Monroeville, PA. Those were extremely depressing and I was concerened. In truth, the hotel was OK for its price. Rooms were reasonably clean, beds were OK. Bare necessities were provided adequately. The staff were OK. Breakfast was very basic […] but OK. Considering the rate, I think our stay was fine. I am unlikely to stay here again but for really budget conscious traveler, this motel is an surely an option to consider. "Days Inn-Monroeville"
I stayed at Days Inn Monroeville for business in Pittsburgh. Monroeville is about 15 minute drive to Pittsburgh which wasn't inconvenient at all. There are numerous eateries, a mall, etc close proximity of the hotel. Surrounding neighborhood was safe. hotel very easy to find. Check in was uneventful. Price was reasonable considering the cost of staying […] in Pittsburgh center city. The room was very adequate in size. Bed comfortable. Linens appeared clean. Carpet worn but not too bad. Bathroom could have used some remodeling work. Very difficult to turn on shower faucet. Almost pulled off the wall panel, so be careful. Put pressure against the panel while pulllng the handle to engage the shower/water. The level of the tub/shower is higher than the floor so be careful stepping out of the shower. the towel rack is not very secure in the wall so do not use it for support. I find these more of an annoyance rather than a real issue but reading a lot of reviews from others, they would find this inexcusable and ramble on and on about how their life was adversely affected over stuff like this and how they had to get psychological counseling. My answer to them is: stay home or get a Five Star Hotel!!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"not as bad as i thought it would be"
I bought this room with an unpublished rate and was very disappointed when I saw what hotel I had received given its poor reviews, but it was not as bad as the other reviews make it sound. The exterior and common areas of the hotel are not well kept. The room itself was dated, but clean enough. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. There was some […] white bread for toast and stale looking doughnuts. There was free wireless, which was a big plus. This wasn't worth full price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Days Inn - Needs some TLC"
Our first room was not good at all. The smoke detector was disconneced and there was mold in the bathroom. We were going to cancel the rest of the reservation but asked to see another room; what a difference. It was much cleaner and updated. They must be updating the rooms one at a time, the first one obviously was not. The hotel staff was very friendly, […] and the breakfast was pretty goood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel would be so improved if they would just pay a little attention to the areas outside the rooms. Walkways just need some semblance of sweeping and the outside stairs could be refurbished. Room and amenities were very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable, but not the greatest."
We were looking for an affordable place to stay and it was that. However, the room smelled bad and we ran out of facial tissue mid way through our stay and it was never replaced. We had a non smoking room, unfortunately smoking was taking place in the narrow walkway outside the room by both guests and staff. The beds were fairly comfortable and the […] pillows were great. The blanket had matted black hair along the bottom I didn't notice until day 2 (my hair is blond). The shower didn't work at all. Everything else was outstanding. "Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done."
We were looking for an inexpensive pit-stop hotel near the Turnpike near Pittsburgh while traveling to the mid-west and while this place wasn't fancy by any stretch of the imagination, it got the job done. "Good Stay, Not Remarkable."
Honestly I say "not remarkable" as a good thing. I feel that I came a way with no good or bad feelings about the hotel. I loved Monroesville, but don't suggest going there without a GPS. I can say that they forgot to replenish the hand towel and bath mat in our room the second day, but it was no big deal. The breakfast leaves something to be desired […] but the hotel room was a good deal, so you know a stop to Starbucks remedied that. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel - Ok for overnight stay"
The hotel was fine for an overnight stay. I would not stay any longer then one night. The door looked like it wasn't completely closed and could be kicked open. We checked for bed bugs and thankfully found none even though there was a bug (not a bedbug) on the door. The desk was not clean. The bathroom was not clean either. I would recommend the hotel […] if you need a place for an ok price for one night. If you are staying for more then one night or for a romantic night I would not choose this hotel. The breakfast was normal for this type of hotel, nothing special. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Monroeville PA Days Inn: Cheap stay with dogs"
Because we would be arriving late and leaving early, we determined not to spend a great deal on a hotel. This hotel had a clean bathroom and the linens (we checked before we accepted the room) were clean. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The floor did not appear to have been vacuumed which caused me to keep my shoes on until I jumped into […] the bed--and I am never pleased to check into a hotel through a small outside window. This is an adequate hotel for a short stay with 2 dogs, and for that purpose it was a good value when spending a short night off the turnpike. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not so bad for a budget property"
My room was very clean and the houskeeping staff kept it that way for the entire stay. Cont. bkst was basic, but ok. Lots of sprawl within walking distance and a short distance drive.
