"Take a short side trip to Hershey Gardens....."
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was fairly quiet even though it was located right next to the main road. The hotel was located to some very good and fairly inexpensive restaurants---the Filling Station, Funks, and the Hearth. "Great for the money"
My son and I have used the Knights Inn twice now, both times for winter season trips to Hershey to take in local hockey games. Limited contact with staff but both times the persons we dealt with were very nice. The Knights Inn gives you everything you should expect when paying a budget rate i.e. a clean room, working heat, AC, and cable, courteous staff. […] If you expect more than that for a budget rate than go elsewhere. This place is great for us and we have been very happy with both stays. In room coffee would be nice but you get what you pay for. I brought my own little coffee maker on the second trip and it worked out great. I will add that we have used a few different low rate motels in the area for our occasional hockey trips and the Knights is now our "go to" motel unless they give us a reason stop using them. If you're expecting the Hershey Hotel at this price, then you'll be sorely disappointed; however, if you realize that this is a very inexpensive stay, you'll be pleased. All in all it was a good place to stay. It was basic, but clean and very quiet. Beds could be replaced as they were not real comfy. Liked having WIFI. "Great value, though don't expect a fancy hotel"
This motel is just what you pay for - a very comfortable, no-frills room with the basic amenities. I would recommend it for a shorter stay, as the rooms aren't terribly spacious, but if you're not picky it has everything you'd need. The staff was friendly. The "breakfast" was simply some bagels, cereal, juice and coffee, but there are lot of places […] to eat very close by. My only main complaint is that the shower was TERRIBLE. I am not picky, but it was one of those super-cheap, misty spraying shower heads where it hurts if you get too close and is a cold mist if you go too far away. This is an easy thing to fix and the motel would do well to invest the extra pennies for a shower head that doesn't punish the customer for using the water. "Good enough"
This hotel was a place to sleep and shower and that's pretty much it. Bare essentials were provided to include a fridge in the room, blow dryer in the bathroom, 2 single use shampoo, 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap. The sheets on the bed seemed a little damp when I first pulled back the blankets. In the bathroom there was a questionable brown mark near the […] tp dispenser, other than that the room and bathroom were fairly acceptable. When I checked out the next morning no one was at the desk and had to leave my room key in the drop box. Breakfast consisted of a choice of 2 dry cereals and coffee, not even sure if there was milk. Room was expected as reviewed by others. For us, the room was just a place to sleep at night for our 2 night stay to Hershey Park. Left Queens, NY at 7am on thursday morning, but stuck in traffic through manhattan, then stuck in more traffic going through PA, finally getting there three hours later than expected, at 2:30pm. Checked in with no problem. […] Room had heavy cleaning odor upon entry, so we had to air it out for a while, opening the door while we were there, and leaving the AC running and the bathroom fan running while we were out for the rest of the afternoon and night. No windows to open. We scouted the area first, and were happy to see a Walmart, McDonald, Burger King, and many other conveniences within a few minutes of the hotel. We took advantage of the Hershey Park preview (free entry after 7:30pm with tickets for the next day). Drive was okay, 15 minutes from hotel to Hershey Park. Slept the first night okay. Breakfast was minimal, but that was to be expected for the price. Back to Hershey Park for the day. Back to the hotel to clean up, then dinner at buffet nearby, then sleep. Hit McD for breakfast, then cleaned up before checking out. Then back to Hershey Chocolate World (free) and Outlets, then back to NYC. Overall, the hotel was in a good location with acceptable driving distance for the price. It's also a good location with many stores nearby. We went there because we were going to be at Hershy Parrk for 3 days. It was in a nice location ans they were able to upgrade us to 2 queen size beds since a rollaway couldn't be accomadated. It was clean, beds were comfortable. The conentinatal breakfast was rather small and didn't really have anything other then coffee,jiuce, cereal and small muffins.
