I think I figured out the special online pricing thing -- even though this place was near-empty, our room was placed on the highway side of the building, so we had highway noise all night long. In general, I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you're willing to ask for a different room.

Have driven by Microtel on previous visits to the area thought it looked nicer than your average 2 star motel so after reading several rave reveiws were looking forward to our stay. Experience was so bad if we weren’t in town on business and had little time at the hotel except to slept we would have left! Problem #1 - Reserved handicap accessible room […] but there was no handicapped parking on that entire side of the hotel - had to carry all our luggage clear across the building. With only 2 handicapped spaces in the entire parking lot can’tbelieve the hotel is legally compliant with the ADA law. Problem #2 - The heat vent in our room vibrated when it went on extremely loudly. There were no other handicapped rooms to move to and the heat had to remain on as the room had a cold draft making for very poor sleep. Problem #3 - First night we brought take-out back to room and left several styrofoam containers stacked on top of the garage but 2 days the garbage was not emptied even after we asked hotel worker!!! Problem #4 - Fruit in breakfast area was bruised and dirty. Problem #5 - 15 minutes before breakfast was over staff came in and locked up toaster. We were sitting there sipping coffee and she didn't even ask if we were done. Problem #6 - The TV remote was broken and we had to walk back and forth to desk to get replacement and then batteries. There was mold in the bathroom, we didn't have any shampoo the first day and the bed was as hard as a rock. there were also stains on the pillow cases.

We only spent 1 night here which was a relief because we had considered staying longer... When we arrived the room was freezing, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and there was hair all over the bathroom floor which obviously didn't belong to me since I had just gotten there... The room was a good size but the motel is located directly adjacent to the New York Thruway so the traffic noise was overpowering. If the bed was a queen size as advertised, I'll eat it! Breakfast area was clean but it had a small selection of pastries and cereal and that was it. If you don't care about these things, it was a good value.

Room was very small. Bed was hard and sank in towards the middle. Front desk clerk was polite and professional and the one bright spot in the hotel. No elevator and no ice machine on the second floor.

Could hear every word through the wall. Neighbors kept us up all night with their talking and laughing. Walls like tissue paper. Hotel wan't very full but put them right next to us, I suppose for the convenience of the chamber persons. Almost called the front desk but it was late and we were tired and did not want to have to move at that point.

We noticed first thing the entrance of the lobby smelled smokey. Then the lobby smelled smokey. the hallway, even the non-smoking room smelled smokey. So much for requesting non-smoking. We had to change rooms because of the noise from the vehicles on the road. The second room had funny noises like base being played. We reported it, but the person on duty could hear the noises but did not know what they were or where they were coming from. He was willing to change our room, but twice to us was enough. The rooms were small but that did […] not bother us. We did not like that there were dogs there, and one was running around without a leash. There was another in the room that we were eating in. I am not happy that pets are allowed in all the rooms. What if you had allergies? How well are the rooms cleaned? I do not know if I would stay there again. Micro definitely refers to room size. Microfridge not plugged in, filled with water, toilet and tub dirty, air conditioner unusually noisy, traffic noise incredibly loud, bed was uncomfortable. Very limited breakfast. On plus side, employees nice and polite and made every effort to help, but not much that they could do.

Room was fine however bathroom needs some work. Mold in the bath tub/shower (alot of it) and floors in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been washed in a long time. Rugs in the room were obviously dirty in the heavy traffic ares to the bathroom and door. I would never stay here again. Staff was courteous and proffesional.

Our room was small we hardly had room to move around the bed. Bed and pillows were hard. Housekeeping did not even give us full rolls of toliet paper. Had to ask for iron and ironing board. Juice at breakfest did not taste good.

We stayed here trying to save money, which we did. Our first room had a leaky ceiling, and the bathroom still had some dirty, crumpled linens. We switched out after we discovered the leak (but it had soaked our winter coats). The second had no major flaws. The bed was a little below average, but adequate. The bed sheets were covered in hair, the bathroom had strange stains on the door and the room smelled like a gym locker room. The staff was friendly and close to the mall the only positives.
