"Palazzo was not a five star experience"
Basic suites are large at 720 sq feet but with 3000 rooms at Palazzo there is a quality issue. Furniture and fixtures are showing wear and 3 of 5 rooms checked were not clean, one suite on floor 35 with a view of the strip even had a used, dirty bathroom and we saw thick dust on every surface. Marble steps and surfaces have stains and the furniture […] is showing wear. Access to amenities is confusing and the automatic Resort Fee is just extortion for internet. and spa access, leaving some guests with an abused feeling. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good but some issues"
They did not have the room we had prebooked/paid for, they upgraded us to a suite. Way too much for us but all they had available. It was gorgeous, but had a constant smell of grilled burgers/meat. The exhaust for one of the restaurants was right outside the window. The TV in the master was not working all the time. Our biggest issue was when room service […] came to retrieve a used tray we had. I had our liquor, wine and mixers since we planned to use them on another area. When I came back, the liquor and wine was gone. I called room service about 6 times to fix the situation. I was on hold for nearly an hour total. They told me they thought I had checked out. If that was the case, why leave behind the half open mixers and other items. I quickly scoured the room in case any other items were missing. They agreed to replace the 1.75 liter bottle of Kettle One vodka and the bottle of red wine (both newly opened). I told them the brand and type of the vodka - and size - repeatedly. I returned later and there was a bottle of wine and a half used 1 liter bottle of Absolut. I was appalled that they would bring back an open bottle with half the liquor, smaller and a different brand. 3 more calls to room service, FINALLY the supervisor agreed it was wrong and brought up 2 - 1 liter bottles of Kettle One. It was just such a waste of time. During checked out, when I was asked, I told the front desk my stay was good but we had some issues. She never asked about the issues. "Beautiful hotel. Customer service needs work."
The hotel was beautiful. I was treated very rude by one the employees at the front desk. She was way out of bounds and other customers comment. I had 4 rooms and spent a lot of money in your hotel and casino. We come to Vegas an average of 8-10 times a year. I will be back for NASCAR and the hardware show in May, the way I was treated I will not be […] staying at the Plazzo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice rooms but slow service"
The rooms are great but plan on lots of time for services. Room service takes over an hour (one day was 1 hour and 45 minutes - it was almost lunchtime by the time I got my breakfast). Picking up your car 15-30 minutes and they won't allow you to call in advance. Luggage help 15-30 minutes and even the bell desk can't order your car in advance. Valet […] parking was only for guests and self-parking was full - so I had to meet people at other locations. These inconveniences made this a difficult stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Service is going downhill"
I've stayed at this hotel religously over the past several years. The last 2 experiences I've had here however has positioned me to look elsewhere, Albeit they still have the largest std suites in Vegas, the cleaning staff is lacking. I spent 4 days and 3 nights here for Christmas with my wife and 2 kids and I hate to say it, it was probably the worst […] service I've had in Vegas when it comes to keeping my room clean. We had 1 "cleaning" visit the entire time and all the staff did was make the bed (and take the blankets/pillows from my kids bed). Never did the trash get taken out, the towels get replaced, the glasses get removed, sink get cleaned etc. Everything else about the hotel was fine, room service was quicker than expected and check-in/out went fast and flawless. "Less is apparently more"
Staying at a 4+ star resort in an upgraded suite (Fortuna) 1. Having to ask for extra towels everyday (3 towels for a family of 4) 2. Requesting use of a screw driver to install batteries in kiddos Christmas gift... Met with we don't do that, you can go to Walgreens and buy a screw driver. 3. Requesting if they have any Christmas decorations, answered […] with for 100.00 dollars we can provide a fully decorated mini tree but our floral department is closing. 4. Requesting room service to be told they don't charge to the room. Remember to give your kids more cash or a credit card. 5. Being gone all day and coming back to a room that was not made 6. Asking to speak with a manager and waiting in hold for 15 minutes only to be transferred to the concierge desk. 7. Asking directions within hotel, security was great by looking disinterested and snapping over there. 8. Checking out and asked how was our stay. Replied not so great. The reply from the staff member was sorry to hear that. Nothing else. 9. Enjoying waiting in line for gondola tickets for 45 minutes. Met with another 45 minute wait to get on the Gondola ride after we had 'reserved' a time and then after a nice 10 minute stroll through the canal, hit up for picture money. Palazzo hopefully we are the exception to what you provide guests, but you will not get another chance with us. You could learn a lot from your sister hotel...the Venetian. "Remembering why I haven't visited Vegas in a while"
Customer service is great at the front desk...after that, things tend to fall apart from there. For a 4&5-star hotel rating, you'd expect the room to be clean...not so much; probably can take a DNA test and figure out who the last customer was in the room. Room service took almost an hour, and the standard response was that it is the norm...should have […] eaten out. Ate at one of the restaurants on the premise and was equally disappointed with incorrect orders of just about everything...English must be a second language. My non-smoking room...not so much really, especially with people smoking next door or in the hallways. Luckily, I was only passing thru Vegas...hence a short stay. "Declining Service and Facilities"
We have stayed at the Palazzo two years ago and had a very good experience. Unfortunatly, the standard has declined quite a bit. The room showed dust in bath room corners and carpet areas were needing some additional vacuuming. Services were sub-par. They did not have the room that I had booked and wanted for me to pay for an upgrade or move to the […] Venetian. Other Hotels would have placed you into the next level room without this much discussion. Roomservice failed to deliver orders, maintenance failed to deliver ink-cartridge. Special promotion was a coupon booklet worth "$1000"; many coupons had expired and I only used $3 of it. Not worth speaking off considering that I get charged $0.50 for a cup of hot water every morning. Hardcore soliciting in the shopping areas especially in Venetian. "Nice but can tell it's "used & abused""
Have stayed her multiple times. Hotel, Casino, Restaurants, Lounges and Clubs are great as always. However, was very disappointed with the two rooms we had. Both were not very clean, pictures in bad shape, dark/dirty smudges on the walsl, and some unsightly and unsanitary stains on the sofas that I found repulsive. Wouldn't even sit on the them. Do […] appreciate the ammenities at this hotel, the pool/cabanas, spa and the location but the room quality has greatly diminished over the years. It's hitting that Vegas "used & abused" stage. The hotel is ok, rooms are quite big and clean. The issue is that you just feel like you are number for them, the hotel is lacking staff in their front desk. "Disappointing for a AAA five diamond resort"
This hotel was just ok, in my opinion. There were several things about it that lead to my somewhat poor ranking. First of all, the rooms are supposed to be nonsmoking. Our first room smelled like cigar smoke. I called right away to request another room, and they gave me a different room with a strip view for the inconvenience. They apologized that they […] cannot control what guests do in their rooms (although you can, by charging a cleaning fee, which I have seen many other hotels do). The second room smelt even worse, but I didn't want to complain again. The bed was incredibly hard. The shower didn't seem to have been cleaned, there were two plastic covers from disposable razors on the floor of the shower the first time we used it, gross. The manager I spoke to about it just seemed irritated. There were only two drinking glasses in the entire suite, wine glasses as well, which I used for drinking water. Only got a newspaper half the days. Had room service three times, and the food was not good (only had because we were too tired to go out). Despite the high end finishes in the room (marble, etc) they were poorly constructed/put together. Prestige level was nice for the included drinks but probably not worth the price. It was nice to have access to DVD catalog. TVs in room were nice. Sofa in sunken living room was very comfortable, I thought about sleeping there some nights. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our check in was awesome. Suite was awesome. From thereon in, not much was awesome. Hotel was overrun with what appeared to be college students celebrating end of semester. "Nice place, need better management...."
We arrived at 10:30 PM on a Friday, entered our room and it was either still occupied or just hadn't been cleaned, either way we didn't hang around to find out. The staff seems tired and overworked and they don't really seem to know alot about what's going on. I waited for a drink at their pool bar for at least 5 minutes, while the bartender changed […] the tv channel 5 different times, then proceeded to argue with who I presumed was her manager. Honestly? Take it into the back girls. No surprise that the bar wasn't busy. We had a few other service incidents, but the general idea is the property is very nice and their spa is awesome, but I'm not sure what Is going on with the management of this property.
