According to the Nevada Gaming Association, the Strip’s gaming area encompasses all resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard South between Russel Road and Sahara Avenue. The resorts include The Rio and The Palms, as well as smaller ones. "off away from everything"

Far off strip... Close to airport not quiet can hear planes taking off and landing. Rooms are detached from main checking area have to leave building and walk through outside court yard to get back inside for breakfast. Toilet was plugged up walls are thin you can hear everything going on next door. Room had odor to it smelled like animal or dog urine […] and there was hair in the bath room. Kitchen floor was sticky not well cleaned the towels had stains on them. Makes you wonder do they really wash them. Read more

Worked for us! You can forget your car and take the shuttle to the Strip and the buses take you from there. Cab drive isn't too expensive either (~15 USD to Mandalay Bay?) The Hotel was clean, breakfast great and staff nice.
