"Dissapointment"
We got there and upon check -in, they gave us two queen beds and no King like we had requested. We let it go, and decided to play some cd's we had brought along........The BOSE CD player did not work......I called to the front desk and was told they couldn't do anything about it!! The room was a total misrepresentation, It was nice, but NOT what was […] on the pictures and descriptons...... Last time at RedRock for me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Family Friendly"
Great Hotel, except for the following. We were charged an addiional $25.00 resort fee. Elevators were not convenient, took forever to get where we needed to go. No coffee pots in rooms, additional daily charge if you wanted one. Two Sensor bars located in rooms. If items were touched slightly or moved you were charged. They were in inconvient locations, […] where they could of been easily bumped, and in reach of children. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Red Rock was a huge disappointment"
Red Rock Hotel was a huge disappointment for us - it was dirty, dusty and loud. Not what one would expect from a "resort and spa". Red Rock should do us all a favor and change the name to just Hotel and Casino. If you are looking for relaxation, don't even bother. Upon check in we found our hotel room dusty, greasy stains on the mini bar/fridge, stains […] and holes in decorative pillows and sofa, one of the light fixtures in the bathroom was ripped out of the wall, ink stains on the tv in the bathroom, both tv remotes were scary sticky and filthy, soap dish cracked. Walls paper thin. You could hear every door closing. Bring earplugs! We called housekeeping and front desk twice to have them clean our room. First time someone tried to change pillow cases, because we were missing two pillows. Second time we found a note on our door from the hotel engineer (???) who came in to change the bulb in our bathroom make up mirror. Really? We spoke to front desk again and were told that housekeeping "can't keep up", because the hotel had 2 concerts back to back the weekend before we checked in. Did I mention the hotel has a concert arena.Do yourself a favor and check their concert dates or you won't be able to sleep. Bring earplugs! Restaurants were OK. There is a buffet restaurant as well, but good luck with that. Red Rock gives out BOGO buffet coupons to every area resident within 50 miles radius it seems. You'll waste half of your vacation just standing in line. Stay away from Red Rock! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel sucked!"
First time we stayed there and the only reason we did was for a concert they were having there. The bed felt like it was left over from another hotel. Each side you slept on made you feel like you were going to slide off. The shower was only big enough to turn around, barely. The breakfast we had at the Grand Cafe sucked. The food was either over cooked, […] tasted too oily, or had no taste at all. The only good experience at the hotel was the concert we attended and dinner at the Yard House. If the hotel hosted another concert, I wouldn't stay there. I would stay on the strip and make the drive. Disappointing for the amount of money they charge per night! "Not Local friendly, Dirty room, ruined trip."
Started off rough... Check in(3pm)... long line... stood in line for 30-45 mins... taking away from our time at the pool/ spa, which closes VERY early(7pm). We get to our room... they give us a DIRTY, USED, room! THIS was my anniversary! We called to front desk, waited another 20 mins for a manager to bring us another room key... again, taking away […] from our time to do things. They give us a $30 dining credit, for the inconvenience.. I HAD TO REQUEST A LATE CHECK OUT, BECAUSE OF ALL THE WASTED TIME! They still charged us the "resort fee", and never communicated to the house cleaning, WE HAD LATE CHECK OUT! So therefore, we were woken up early! I am a local, I love Red Rock Canyon... We wanted to spend time at the Resort, and then hike. Due to the total lack of consideration for our time, and our special occasion, we could not do what we had planned... I would not go back for a "stay-cation"! They are NOT Local friendly... The pool area smelled like sewer!! no matter where we moved to, the stinky grates would blow sewer smell every place. Rinse off showers did not work... pool closes too early! The only thing that was great was The Yardhouse, and the NON-smoking. Thank you for taking the time to read this.. normally I would love to give a great review... but this is not the case. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing"
Front desk was very busy they made a copy of our credit card but when we used it for Dinner no record of card . I talked with the manager at the front desk didn't know what happen. We have to watch so no charges are made. Also the pool closed early one day they Should have told us could only use for 1 hour and we were charged 25.00 for the day Complain […] to manager stated that pool was not part of the resort fee that it was for spa Which they charge for services??? The average wait for drinks at the casino was 30 Minutes they must get more help the pool also needs more help should not have to get Your own drinks. I would have a hard time recommending this hotel just for the customer service they offer and when we went to management they didn't seem to Care. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what we expect"
We booked 2 queens and got a room with only one bed. Got a room changed alright-with a grumpy attitude like it was our fault. The room was almost to the last of a very long hallway (there was nothing else available even though we checked in at 4pm, quite early). The only plus is the bathroom was nice and big. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping, […] and people work down at the casinos were very slow and were not very knowledgable of things run at this hotel. A simple question of what time the pool close would take them 10 minutes on the phone to find the answer. The pool close at 6, quite early for Spring. Finished breakfast cart left right next to our door from the morning till night time. Drinks ordered at the pool took over half an hour to get to us. Bring your own water if you play at the casino slot machines, took forever to get a drink. Most of the time, those ladies just ignore us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible place to go.."
I've heard good things about Red Rock resort, however, it was disappointing. All area is very very smoky. I am a smoker myself. Our room didn't have enough ventilation so all of my dresses and clothes are soaked in cigarette smell. And house keepers do not even vacuum the room. Bathroom and bed room have full of dust and hairs all over the place and […] never got cleaned. We stayed 7nights..It was awful. House keepers even left their rags in our bathroom. We left 2 dollars on the first day, and 5 dollar on the second for the house keepers. But the room was so disgusting, we did not want to tip them any more. Their restaurants weren't impressive. I thought Hachi would be a good place to go, but not really. Our server said that they have a chef special that would be a three-course including hot and cold appetizer and a main dish to share. FYI, I am half Japanese. I thought it was a chef special. Guess what, they just pick random dishes from the menu. I could've done that! The worst part was that they gave us about most expensive seven or eight courses from the menu. It was so much food for just two of us, and the bill came out about 300 dollars. If we enjoyed the food, the cost wouldn't be so bad. But we ended up just stuff our faces since we don't have a refrigerator in our room and it's raw fish! FYI the airport shuttle stops at 9 p.m. We arrived around 9:30, and we had to take a taxi. Very disappointing place. I will never visit here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

too large a portion of everything (sports book seating, pool area and everywhere else you turn) are reserved for people who are in their special club by playing thousands and thousands of dollars on a regular basis. also didn't appreciate being hit with a $28 per day charge ON TOP OF my paid in full in advance expedia costGenuine Expedia guest review

"overpriced "Resort Fee""
a $28 per day outrageous "resort fee" where the "resort" maintenance people can NOT even fix a running toilette flush after 3 attempts. Also, at 1 am poolside music was so loud that relaxation and sleeping was impossible. When complained about my experience during checkout, it is so ridiculously funny that they ONLY hand you a review or feed back piece […] of paper so you can spend your valuable time to mention their shortcomings for them to make more money and charge people more nickels and dimes rather than offering a customer satisfaction offer. "Treated like a second class citizen"
Check in went smoothly enough but when we got to our room there was one queen bed instead of the 2 we reserved and paid for as we were a party of 3. A call to the front desk confirmed that they did not have any rooms with 2 beds available. They offered to send a rollaway bed at no charge to us We left to eat dinner and go bowling and were gone 2.5 hours […] and returned at midnight to find that the bed had not been delivered. After almost an hour of calls and being told that there were no rollaways, a staff person just appeared with one. No apology or offer to set it up just knocked on the door and left. Also the room was huge but incredibly dusty. When the sun came through the curtain in the morning it looked like it was snowing. At check out I did not want tot pay the extra resort fee due to the poor service the night before but no dice. They did offer to give us a coupon for breakfast but we'd already eaten. Warning--the rate online actually cost us much more after resort fees and taxes. Won't make this mistake again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disapointing for the price point"
We requested a smoking room with a king bed close to the elevators. When we got there it showed we requested a non-smoking room. We got a room at the far end of the hall with two queen beds. We twice ate ate the Grand Cafe. Once they didn't have hashbrowns during breakfast. Food was brought cold. The second experience ordering eggs benedict the muffin […] & ham were burnt & the hashbrowns were soggy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"River Rock"
The Red Rock Casino Hotel in Las Vegas was very disappointing. We had high expectations reading the reviews. When we checked in we were told that the pool was closed (every Friday) for a concert . This was not mentioned in your website. We would have taken that into consideration when booking the room. Most people come to Las Vegas to enjoy the pools, […] esp in 110 heat. Ideally swimming in the later evening time is ideal since the sun is unbearable in the afternoon. We also could not bring the water that is purchased in the room to the pool area. This seems like this could be double dipping. Being that Las Vegas is the desert, it seems that water should be affordable or at least the ability to use the refrigerator that is in the room. Not being allowed to bring a personal cooler into the room seemed a bit extreme. It felt that we were being hostage to the extreme prices of the hotel. We have stayed in many 5 star resorts and have never had all the restrictions that we had on this visit. Our room was at the extreme other end of the hotel with the elevators at the opposite end. I guess that this would have not been so bad had the desk clerk not stated that it was the distance to where the staircase is across the lobby. Unfortunately he can not judge distance. The shower drain was not working properly, but at this time we didn't have the energy to complain. The mattress could use some updating as well. One last issue is that there was conflicting stories as to the pool closure. We were told on check in that we had the use of an in door pool. We had todl the clerk that we planned on taking our grandson swimming on Friday after 5. He had told us that it was closed on Sat at check in. We were told later the next day that it was Friday not Saturday. They also said that there was no in door pool. We later checked with someone else, and were told yes there was. Upon arriving at the spa area to use the lap pool, we were then told that our 7yr old grandson could not swim. It was Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"This used to be our favorite hotel"
We were very disappointed in our stay at the Red Rock this time. It has always been our first choice when visiting family. However the room was dirty, the ventilation system was not working well so the room did not smell fresh, and we could see the dust floating in the air. The lap pool area was not cleaned of beer bottles and cigarette butts for the […] entire 5 days we were there. Although housekeeping was responsive, most of the housekeepers did not speak English when we pointed out problems, such as vacuuming. We actually left a day early and lost the money we paid for that night because we were so dissatisfied. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Shuttle waits for no-one, or does it?"
Shuttle leaves for the strip at 11:10am, i call the front desk and ask that they hold the shuttle as i check out using their (slow) TV check-out system, they tell me "we don't hold the shuttle". Arrive at the front entrance at 11:13am and see the shuttle driving away; the bell men said the next one is in 2 hours. Frustrated that they refused to hold […] the shuttle i discuss with the bell man who said "you should have called down and we could have held the shuttle for you". Discussed with asst mgr and she suggested that i take the cab ($50 out of my pocket). Fat chance, miserable customer service. Went directly to airport instead of spending some more time on the strip. Recommend staying at the Bellagio or MGM - they are more customer service friendly and no shuttle to contend with. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too big, too inconvenient"
For us this hotel was somewhat disappointing. It's too big and inconvenient. Just to get from your room to your car you first have to take the elevator down, then walk for a while, then take another elevator up - given that you have not mistakenly parked in the parking garage at the wrong side of the resort. If you don't plan to do anything but stay […] inside the hotel during your stay in Vegas this may be ok. It's also somewhat enjoying how things are arranged to make you spend dollars at any opportunity. If you remove any item from the refrigerator for 45 seconds you will be charged for that item. If you are picky on your beverage and like to bring some you won't be able to chill it, if you bring a boutle of wine you will have to order glasses as there is none in the room. Another disappointment was the pool hours. We were off during the days which meant that our kids did not get to use the pool ( open 10-16) nor will you be enjoy a drink in the jacuzzi. We stayed 3 days at Staybridge and 2 at Red Rocks. Everyone in our party much preferred Staybridge. You get more space, all convenience, access to the pool and jacuzzi from early morning until late at nigth , you don't waste time getting lost and it is simply so much more convenient and is even cheaper.
