"not worth the money!!"
Not as good as 4.4 avg rating shown everywhere including tripadvisor.com Can get way better hotels for 100$ per day avg for 3 nights.. Room lacked refrigerator, a good tv..it had a pathetic lcd/plasma tv which didnt have HD channels..not that anyone would watch but its what is expected out of a 4+ ratin hotel. "Nice Hotel"
South Point had the lowest prices during MDW holiday weekend. I had never stayed there, so figured i'd give it a shot. The hotel has everything that you don't really need to leave and venture onto The Strip... casino, restaurants, movie theatre, bowling alley, pool, spa, gym, and much more. My only gripe is the smoke on the casino floor... it hits you […] hard as soon as you walk into the area... definitely not my cup of tea... i feel like i should be wearing a gas mask. The gym is well equipped and spacious. The equipment was fairly up to date, i didn't have any problems with the machines i was using or the free weights... it was also very clean during my stay. We also used the spa amenities which requires purchasing a spa pass for $30 for hotel guests during my visit. The spa offers the bare minimum: one jacuzzi, one 3.5' deep pool, one steam room, one sauna, and 2 small personal jacuzzi pools (water comes down from the ceiling!), there is also a relaxing lounge fully stocked with water, coffee, tea, and juice upon request. The hotel service and comfort was ok, but going to the main strip was $8.00 a day. Other hotels such as the Tahiti Village where I stayed in previous las vegas trip the shuttle to the main strip was free. In addition I reserve for four adults, the coffee provided in the room were only three single pouch brew and three cups, two regular glasses for drinking […] and I was given only two give away funbook/discount. "Bell Hop was a joke"
The rooms were nice, and so was the pool and overall hotel. The Bell Hops and Valet were a joke! We waited an hour to leave because we were waiting for the Bell Hop to come up with a cart. Then the Valet for a time lost our car, which was fixed right away. Even when we got to the hotel we had to wait 30-40 minutes for the Bell Hop to bring our cart. […] So we couldn't change to go to the pool or eat our sandwiches because we had to sit and wait. That alone will make it so I never refer this hotel or stay there again!!!!! "All your needs in one place"
Located south of the main strip, the hotel has a variety of restaurants from a casual buffet or hamburger parlor to an intimate formal setting. There is even a cinema and several event rooms. The only drawback is that the hotel lobby is smokey so if you're sensitive, it becomes an issue. The room was comfortable and clean, but it didn't have a refrigerator, […] which would have been nice. "It was ok"
Much cheaper than staying on the Strip (but only if you have a car). They have a shuttle that goes to Excalibur ( I believe) that costs $8. Taxi costs about $25-30 depending on where you want to go on the StripGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"March Madness weekend"
The second year we have stayed here for the opening weekend of March madness. The whole setup is great. They open up two massive conference rooms that have big screens and projection monitors everywhere. There are 4 betting stations, although lines can still get long at halftime and right before tip-off. A buffet line with decent food, nothing spectacular […] and various bars selling well and premium drinks, capable of being redeemed with free drink vouchers gained through placing bets. Having stayed at various hotels on the Strip for March Madness, this is by far the best setup and experience if your looking for that. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and had no issues with fellow guests or any services. Not the largest gaming floor, so can be a wait for table games. Food is adequate, not much choice after 12:00 am, pretty much stuck with the Coronado cafe which has cheap after midnight specials. Overall had an enjoyable stay, and had no issues or major complaints. Just be aware this is off the Strip and its a decent priced taxi cab ride to the south end of the Strip. The hotel mirrored the website. The room was clean. Whenvmy friend and I walkedcin we both noticed how nicely the room smelled. The bathroom was spacious. I was also pleased with the casino. Drove down with friends from Salt Lake City to see the Roller Derby and thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ this hotel.
