Rude and unprofessional clerks at the front desk when you check-in and check-out. They are aggravated to be working and it shows. Standing on a line of 20 people and the front desk clerk says he is going on break, when they are already short staffed.

I stayed at THEHotel over Superbowl weekend.The staff was very professional, expedient and courteous, the room was super clean and well setup and in room amenities were very good. Another key factor for me, air quality and a good smoke free smell, was excellent in my room. They do a great job at keeping the smoke to the casino which is not the case […] in many hotels. Our housekeeping request for extra blankets at 11pm at night was handled in under 5 minutes. My TheSuite room was very large for Vegas and what I thought was a great value / night booked on Expedia. Overall I was very happy with my stay with very minor exceptions, the funishings/decor including the TV's were just a little old (super good condition), the cable TV's were very slow to change channels and the sheets felt a bit crunch for my taste. We checked in on a Thursday afternoon. Check in was very quick and the girl at the desk was very pleasent. The hallway area to the front desk and the elevators was a little confusing, but after a day or so, it became less so. The room was great. Loved the floor to ceiling windows. Our room looked out at the mountains to the West, and at night with the […] lights off and the shades open, it was great. The bathroom was fantastic. Great bathtub! Room for two. The second bathroom was also appreciated. Lost of closet storage and drawers for both of us. A fridge would have been nice, to keep water cold in the room. Keeping ice in the sink at the wet bar worked fine. The buffet food was excellent. It was a little pricey, but the quality was very good. Everywhere we went in the hotel and casino, the staff was fantastic. Always friendly and helpfull. They all seemed to enjoy working there. This good attitude makes a world of difference to the overall stay in any hotel. Free Wy-Fi was an added plus. This wasn't a cheap room, but overall, we thought it was well worth the extra money and will definitely stay here again. Read more

The rooms are nice but rather dark for our taste. There were a number of housekeeping issues: The duvet cover was dirty (looked like lipstick) and one of the robes had black smudges. The other robe had 3 holes in it. We called guest services and they dropped off a replacement duvet cover and robes but they did not take the other ones away. We had dinner […] in the MIX restaurant and thought it was overpriced for the quality. My steak was $42 and I could have gotten the same one for $7 at the grocery store. We booked reservations at the last minute for THEhotel at Mandalay Bay entirely on the basis that they advertised being pet friendly. One of our kittens had gotten sick and as we could not cancel our trip, we decided just to take the kittens with us. So we bundled the kittens into the car and drove the six hours to Vegas. It was probably about ten o'clock […] when we finally got there, but we unpacked the kittens and our luggage and found our way to the front desk. The lobby is beautiful, and the lobby is as far as we got. As we were in the process of checking in, we mentioned that our "pet" was a cat. The man at the front desk replied with a rather ominous, "Oh," before disappearing for what seemed like an eternity. He eventually returned armed with a small type printout of the hotel policy explaining that what the hotel advertised as "pet friendly" is actually just "dog friendly" and we had to either find somewhere to board the kittens or find another place to stay. I will say that the man helping us was incredibly nice. He tried hard to help us find a solution, but he couldn't budge on the hotel policy, for which I don't blame him. In the end, we did find a Travel Lodge that would accept both us and our kittens, but the experience left me quite soured to Mandalay Bay and I won't be staying at THEhotel in the future. I do not blame the hotel for their policy, but I do blame them for their misleading advertising. Read more

This hotel has poor customer servicing. When we requested the front desk in person for additional towels, they said it will be in 15'. We called back in 1 hr later, they said, it will be in 20' and the Cleaning Room already acknowleged but we never had our towels for that night. It was disapointed me for the 5 star hotel in their service.

I love that the hotel is all suites. For families who want a separate room for privacy, this hotel would be perfect! If you're an early bird you can simply go to the next room and work or watch tv while the rest of your family can sleep in (which is exactly the case with my family during our stay here). And, if you think this hotel would be too far […] at the end of the strip, THEhotel is only a tram ride away from the center of the strip... and tram rides are FREE! Let me just say we are from Vegas. So every once and a while we will get a room so we can go play on the strip. This time we picked the Hotel. For the price this has been by far our best stay. The two room suites are good in size. The check in/out was painless.

we rented 5 rooms orginially for 2 nights but were told there was a problem with the reservation and thus only had one evening due to New Years crunch...we felt like the hotel had over booked and because we were on a lower price fare they just did not grant us the 2nd night... The V Suite was a nicely appointed room but we had a few issues. The view was disappointing as it was of the neighboring building and the back of the Mandalay property. (Make sure to request a room with a view of the strip) The hairdryer in the room didn't work and was not replaced upon request and getting service via the hotel phone was impossible […] around New Years. Daily cleaning of the room was not up to the level I would expect from a lesser priced hotel and when the "Do Not Disturb" sign was lite the maids would try to get into the room repeatedly. Also, be aware of the elevator noise in the V Suites from the elevators on the exterior of the building. (Found the noise from them to be intrusive) Read more

I would give this hotel a 3.8 stars. This was our first time coming to Vegas as a family. Usually my wife and I stay at the Wynn or Encore which are a noticeable upgrade but also have a 30-40% higher price. Plus: the suite is two bedrooms and they are well appointed with great views. It also has a full bath with shower and great soaking tub and also […] a 1/2 bath with a sink. Since we were with kids this was awesome. It would have been great to have the sofa in the living room pull out as a bed. Minus: Although there were two large plasma TV's (bedroom and lviving room and a small TV in the bath, none had HD service. Minus: Lots of noise in room 26816 maybe from a service elevator? Plus: Friendly staff, accommodating when we had problems with the first room. Neutral: At far end of strip; however, is connected to Luxor and Excalibur via Tram or Indoor Walkway. Neutral: smaller casino but with all the table games and slots you could expect. Plus Mlife card can be used at many other casinos on the strip. Summary: Good hotel for the value. If the price is right for the suite (V Suite) we might stay again or we may try another hotel on the strip. That is if I can overcome my wife's is in higher love for Wynn/Encore--which is still a 4.5 to 5 star in my book. Read more

Great condition and very clean. It is at the end of the Strip, so it doesn't feel as hectic as the other hotels. Its a nice place to stay/sleep, then head further up the Strip for more action. My only complaints are that the check-in process is slow, and disappointed that they allow dogs in the hotel.

Great hotel! The rooms were very nice. The only negative was the gym. You can only use the cardio equipment unless you pay an additional fee for the gym. The cardio room does not open until five am which can be challenging if you are there for business. Other than that the hotel was GREAT!
