Terrible's Hotel & Casino

Shortly, the hotel is gonna be "upscaled", so this review about to be irrelevant. Rooms are "fine", price is cheap, almost no resort fee ($3/nite just started as of 6/1). Smokey in the casino, food is to be avoided at all costs, i don't care how cheap their buffet, the one elevator (not the tower elevator) is screaming, "please, demolish me". Easy to get around Las Vegas. Very reasonable room rates. Pool area is very nice but need to run skimmer more often. A/C didn't work at first but night repairman was excellent. When it took too long per his timing he called to have us moved. Turned out to just take a few extra minutes to cool down. Room is spacious, water is hot, TV is good.

Its nothing fancy, but for a business traveller on a budget it was a good value. Once you get past the smokey casino, the room was a pleasant surprise. Its a short cab ride to the Strip and convention center and there are great restaurants within walking distance. I wouldn't recommend for a family with kids, but overall it worked for me.

The rooms are clean and this is close to the airport. The pillows are the most comfortable pillows I have ever had. Dont care for smoke in the casino but the rooms are fine.

The only good thing about this hotel was the pool area. Negatives included: Very dirty room, specifically the bathroom. The sides of the toilet and tub looked like someonve vomited and there was left over residue on the sides. There were several hairs on the bathroom floor and one stuck to the back of the door. There was a small brown crusty stain on […] one of the pillowcases, and the carpet was very dirty as well. Service: I requested an iron and had to call housekeeping 3 times because they kept forgetting and it took them about 40 minutes to bring it up to me. After returning to the hotel at the end of the night, the exterior, locked door would not open with my key, so I had to walk around the building to the front to get in. My key no longer worked on my room door either. I went to the front desk, who requested my ID to make another key. My ID was in the room. They acted like I was a criminal trying to get into someone else's room and it was very uncomfortable. Amenities: the only bed covers were one thin blanket covered on each side by a sheet, which made it tough to feel comfortable and cozy in bed. The room was pretty bare bones in general. Hotel is good. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced. Like in many other hotels, Terrible's should get the shower curtains cleaned more often. They stink! Anyway to make the walls demarcating the rooms more sound proof?

It was a very bad decision to stay in this hotel. The bathroom was so small and the towels were so rough, my tub mat at home is even softer. Very bad sound proofing, you can hear people from next room or people talking when you're walking on the hallway. I sent friends there 3 days after we left. Deff where we will be stay when visiting Vegas. It is small enough to not get lost in the place but yet still have everything you need. Reserved a premium room they tried to give me cheap one. Then the premium room tv broken, complained but they couldn't do much. Then there was a puddle under the sink. Been there many times and usually ok but bad experience this time. Never even offered to help.

Casino was dirty. Smelled of smoke and tables had ash all over them, just felt gross sitting there. The buffet was awful. Check out is at 11:00... I had someone knocking at my door at 7:30 on a Saturday morning. "Housekeeping?" They knocked again about a half an hour later. Literally knocked about ever half hour until we left at 11:00. It was rediculous.

I love staying at Terrible's because it is close to the Strip, but not on it, and down the road from the LV Convention Center. I come to town on business regularly and it works for me. The shuttle service needs work. Couldn't communicate with driver on phone because of strong accent, so I didn't know where pick-up was. Front desk didn't know either when they finally answered the phone. Return trip they didn't care about the schedule that was posted in the lobby. 15 minutes late

PROS: Room was good sized and clean, weekend rates were about a third the price of a hotel on the strip. CONS: The casino, hallways, and room all smelled like incense that I'm sure was a combination of cigarette smoke and air freshener. I can see the casino smelling like that, but my non-smoking room shouldn't have smelled. Also, there were only two […] wall power outlets in the room and neither was close to the table, so if you bring a laptop bring an extension cord. I would have given this hotel a solid three, maybe a four, except the morning I was checking out I discovered that the window in my ground floor room didn't have a lock on it.
