I was very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. The Plaza had been my favorite place to stay for many years. I looked forward to staying here after their remodel in 2011, but I couldn't figure out what updating or remodeling had taken place. Third floor (bingo area?) smelled like epoxy, my room had a large red stain on the carpet by the table, […] lamps next to the bed that had no switch (you would have to turn the light out at the wall switch then get in bed) and no lamp at the table - much of the room was very dark. The front desk clerk was super kind and moved me to another room. The engineers and housekeeping folks were wonderful. This is a dishonest company, and you shouldn't do business with them. Their website advertises that they print boarding passes for free, but they don't. Ask the Manager on Duty, Taj. He will tell you the website does NOT say they offer to print free boarding passes. They don't publish the resort fee of $10 per day, which comes to over $11 per day after […] taxes. The resort fee covers the swimming pool (closed for the season), bottled water (20 ounces per day), and free wifi (also available at any McDonald's in the land). We won't be returning. The stay at the Plaza was very nice an quiet. I really like how I didn't hear a bunch of noise in the halls. The staff was cool, housekeeping was there in a timely manner when called. The other rooms guest I had with me loved the view of window when u open it in the morning an at nite the view of the city all the lites. When using the sink brushing ur teeth an u have more than one person it look really gross seeing some one handle their teeth business left behind. My point is the draining of the sink is very slow I couldn't find where you pull to make the stopper wrk. Otherwise that was only problem I had. I like the entertainment that was below the Fremont Experience. There was several things to get into. Great location ! Hotel update was very nicely done. The room was nice, although it would have been nice to have a frige in the room considering the rating the hotel was given online. It was also suggested by pics online that there was a pool and or jacuzzi...Neither were avail. :( I do live here and will come back for the band and gambling at the Z […] lounge. Stayed at Plaza for St Patrick's Day weekend. The staff was very pleasant. The room's were very clean. The rate was very affordable. Not one person from check in to the blackjack table dealers to the restaurants to checking out was ever rude. Can't say the same for other hotels.
