"Sam's Town Hotel"
We upgraded to a suite for the extra space. The cushions on the sofa were frayed and did not look clean. The carpet was soiled and had carpet threads pulled up in several areas. The bed was too soft and the pillows too hard. Would not stay here again.... we only stayed because the conference was held at Sam's Town. The gambling casino was very smoky... […] the ventilation was nonexistent. The hotel had no gym or room service either. Overpriced for what we received! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent visit. I am sorry to hear about the issues with your accommodations. Your descriptions are not at all up to our standards and not the sort of comments we typically receive on the suites. I am certain that the housekeeping team has by now noticed the issues and set the wheels in motion to have them corrected. I am also sorry that it wasn't more clear during your visit that we do have in-room dining options available, serviced by the T.G.I.Fridays that operates at our property. I will mention to our Hotel Manager that this wasn't clear during your visit and I'm sure she will quickly have all the suites inspected to make sure that those menus and information are prominently displayed as usual. Thank you again for writing about your visit. I very much appreciate that you did so and hope that you will decide to visit us again and offer us the opportunity to better meet your expectations.

"Difficult to all must see sight. Some staff rude."
Our stay at this hotel was horrible. First off, the hotel is so far away from the strip that it is very hard to get a taxi to come out and pick you up! One way in a taxi will cost you around $27.00 - $31.00. When a taxi does come it will come 30 min to an hour later then desired. We call for a taxi at 5 am and almost missed our tour to the grand canyon […] because a taxi never showed up. When you try to leave the strip to go back many taxi drivers will not take you. IT IS NOT CLOSE AT ALL. The rooms were clean and have a smoke fragrance. OH and for the shuttle to the strip....What a joke! It stops around 6 pm. it does not run back and forth like advertised. We were so dissappointed that we left that hotel and went to a different one on the strip. We spent over $200.00 on cab fares. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall Thank you for taking the time to review us. I am very sorry that your visit to Sam's Town did not meet your expectations. I cannot specifically address the difficulty you had with the taxis since they are not our employees, and I do encourage you to contact any company you had refuse you service, since I do believe that is against their regulations to do so. I want to apologize if there was any information relating to our complimentary shuttle that was less than specific. We have the schedule available on our website and posted near the hotel check-in as well as pocket-sized schedules available. I'm sorry if anything we provided gave you the incorrect impression. Thank you again for your feedback and we sincerely hope that if your future travels take you to the Boulder Strip side of Las Vegas that you would consider another visit to Sam's Town.
"Casino where the hotel is an afterthought"
Reception desk in middle of smoke-fillied casino. Hotel elevators at the very back of casino. Poor unloading area. At the time we arrived the front door was completely blocked with cars awaiting valet service. Valets did not offer any service for hotel guests. They displayed no interest in accomodating hotel guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall I am sorry to hear that you had a less than exceptional visit to Sam's Town. Our hotel check-in desk is located in Mystic Falls Park, a short distance from the valet entrance through the casino to that area. "Customer service couldnt care less"
This is a little difficult for me because I'm not a complainer and I consider Las Vegas home. So I was going home for 4 days I'm visiting my girlfriend, should be a great time right, wrong. Customer service was horrible. Besides that I go downstairs to gamble at 1 am .Every ATM was out of service , I was told to go across the street to find am ATM by […] 2 people and the lady at the cage shrugged and said well I don't know. Wow, also threes a shuttle to the airport twice a day , last one at 4 so if you come or go after that you're screwed spend 20 on a taxi. And there are about 4 other issues 2 of which customer service blew me off about so no need mentioning them on here. Then there's the pay 3rd party internet or your free option go down to the 2nd floor "business center" with 2 computers for all the guests. Then there is the resort fee!! No swimming , its January, couldn't find a workout room but that's not why I was there. And o had to pay for internet. Why did I have to pay an additional 18.75. Beats me. Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall I am so very sorry to hear that you had a less than exceptional visit with us at Sam's Town. We are very proud of our service standards and it is obvious that we feel far short of our own goals in your instance. I assure you that I have sent your comments to each of the areas mentioned so that the Department Managers can take steps to make sure that your experience is not repeated. We are currently in negotiations with an internet provider so that the issues you had with the in-room service can be eliminated, and lastly the shuttle to the airport is a very recent addition to our services. Hopefully as ridership increases we will be able to increase the times that it is available. Again, I apologize that you these service issues marred your visit and sincerely hope that you will consider visiting us again and offering us the opportunity to better meet your expectations.
"Room bad"

Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall I apologize that the interior rooms were not available during your visit. I can understand why you hoped to be in that area, since it overlooks the beautiful Mystic Falls Park, but those rooms are very sought-after and we can only accommodate those requests based on availability. I'm glad to hear however that overall you did enjoy the room you received. I will ask our Hotel Manager to look into the condition of the mattress in that specific room to determine if it needs to be placed ahead of the usual schedule for the new mattress rotations. Thanks for letting us know exactly which room needed that attention. Thanks very much for taking the time to let us know about your experience and offering me the opportunity to address your concerns. We very much hope that you will decide to visit us again and that your next trip will meet all of your expectations.
"It was ok for a weekend"
Sam's Town was not bad and we had fun but they had no shuttle from the airport so we had to take a cab. When we wanted to go down to the Strip we had to either take a cab or ride the Sam's town bus which ran once every hour but stopped running at 8:30 PM. Sam's is 25 to 30 minutes away from the strip. Most of the shows down on the strip start after […] that time. If I were to go to Las Vegas again I would get a hotel closer to the strip or right on the strip so I could spend more time going to the different shows. Overall it was fun but Sam's was really out of the way. The gambling sucked! I can make more money up here at the Indian Casino's in WA State than I did down there. The slots just ate our money and the table game were not much better. I've done much better up here at the Indian Casinos. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Response by Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall Thank you for the kind comments for our restaurant staff, we will make sure that our Food & Beverage Director is aware that you gave them high praise. We’re also glad that you were satisfied with your room, but apologize that the hotel staff was not more helpful in explaining that the Mystic Falls Park show was undergoing upgrades, and at that time we could not predict when, or if, the shows would be running as normally scheduled. Your comments will be shared with the Directors of each respective area. We sincerely hope that you decide to visit us again and offer us the opportunity to better meet your expectations.

"Terrible Beds!"
The beds are horrible, they crunch when you sit on them and you can hear and feel every spring in the matress. Switched rooms twice and seems to be the case with all the queen size matresses. Was told that they are in the process of switching out all of the king matresses, but not the queens at this time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not up to par this time"
WE routinely stay at Sam's due to the location to our relatives. This time we were not given the room we ordered online. We were told we would have a rool away sent to the room which was okay at first. Had to make 2 separate calls to the front desk and finally go down to inquire about the bed. We were told that he ordered it and it should be there but […] he had no clue as to when it would be there. Another 20 minutes went by and finally one was delivered. This was the worst service we have ever received from Sam's. The attitude of the desk was horrible. Once he checked us in he did not care if we got the extra bed or not. At 9:45pm it was a little ridiculous to continue to wait. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sam's Town - very uncomfortable beds and pillows"
When I travel to Las Vegas, I am there to see family, not to drink, gamble, and party. All I really care about are decent rates and a comfortable bed. Sam's Town has the former but not the latter. My wife and I both did not sleep well because the bed and pillows were very hard. They were not comfortable at all! If you like hard surfaces on which to […] sleep, stay here. If not, find another hotel. The reclining chairs in the room were much more comfortable than the beds; we were seriously thinking of sleeping on the chairs instead, because the beds were just so bad. "Not that great!"
Our check-in was fine and the representative was friendly its what happened after check-in that was bad. We had the bell hop help with our bags and when we opened the door to the second room it was dirty. These were rooms that should have been cleaned because we didn't check in till after 8:30 pm. The bell hop was very helpful and we were able to change […] rooms. When we went down to inquire about our rooms being next to each other the representative said we would be able to have them the next day. She did offer us comps and was friendly. The next day we went to check into the other room the representative said it was not available and that he didn't know why we were told we could have it. "Additional surcharge automatically added on to your credit card."
Check in time was extremely long as they only had one clerk. The main irritation was that we paid for the room on Expedia. "Watch out for the hidden fees!"
Sam's Town is a clean, comfortable, relatively family-friendly casino off the strip. It's perfect for a night of rest if you're just passing through and don't want to deal with Vegas. Navigating the casino to get to your room is a bit frustrating, though not a deal-breaker. They do, however, throw in hidden fees (beyond the hotels.com price) for ridiculous […] things like telephone, hotel services, etc. It only amounts to about $5, but still very frustrating none the less. "beds and pillows"
The first time we stayed it was wonderful! I believe we were upgraded without being told so, so when we arrived the following year for a nights stay we were expecting the same room. Instead the mattresses were hard and the springs drove into my husband's back causing a terrible back ache the next day. The pillows were also very hard which caused me […] to wake up with a headache. There is obviously a lot of differences between the really nice room we got the other year compared the room we had this time, but the bed was the biggest disappointment. Thank you for taking the time to read my concern. We really do enjoy Sam's Town because our son likes the animals and the location is great for our needs, but I would strongly recommend upgrading the beds and pillows. Upon arrival there was much street construction as well as construction on the grounds of the hotel. After wandering around with our luggage we found the check-in in the courtyard of the hotel. Looking out the peephole of the door we saw police officers pouring […] water on a man pinned up against the door of our room who had been maced and wrestled to the ground. The commotion lasted about 25 minutes. We called the front desk to complain and no one seemed to be in charge or knew who was and our call was passed around to 10 different people before we were told to call back after 7:30am. Sam´s Town ist ein typisches Las Vegas Hotel: Mit Gambling Hall und verschiedenen Restaurants ist für jeden was dabei.
