I never stayed that level of service and building in any Westin hotel before. Our room's heater makes such a loud noise that my wife could not sleep well. The hotel itself was good, but when we arrived, the hotel's computer system was down (had been for 3 days!), and they had to manually find a room for us. Since our reservation was pre-paid in full, we couldn't go somewhere else, and it took almost 45 min. - at 10:00 at night - to find a room for us. I've stayed at several Westin Hotels. This hotel was not comfortable at all. The rooms thermostat was stuck at well over 75 degrees. I know it sounds like a cool enough temperature in Las Vegas, But we had to call the front desk and ask for a fan! So I highly doubt the humber was right at all. "Gang bangers punched each other out"
Gang bangers punched each other out just after midnight. The Westin security guard let them stay. At 1:30am, things started up again in my hallway and carried on until 2am. Eventually, they got booted out. Also, the Westin tried to charge me extra for a "resort fee" and wireless internet from my room. I complained so they took it off my bill and gave […] us two free breakfasts for us having to put up with the gang bangers. The bartender at the pool was the most pleasant point of this visit. When we arrived @ 2p there was drilling above our room which lasted until 6pm. When I asked about the noise I was told that the carpet was being replaced and that they could move me to a room on a lower floor. When I asked why the rooms directly beneath the construction were being […] sold while guests were not forewarned of this construction that was to be completed everyday of that weekend, the mgr's response was "well it has to be done", irregardless of guests inconvenience. I was also offer a free continental breakfast for the inconvenience. Who needs breakfast when you're unable to get any sleep to way up for breakfast. This was not what I considered a restful stay. The hotel really was shabby like some of the other reviews said, The hair dryer was so disgusting I didn't even want to touch it. The staff was not exceptional at all.
