We have included all charges provided to us by this hotel. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the room you book.
The premium rooms were dark and not to good. We had to move twice, with the third room being on the first floor with people working outside all hours of day and night. Was very noisy. They did give us a $40 food credit for having to change rooms because of problems. The first room had a bad heater and airconditioner, with the second room not having […] a walk in shower. Supposidly they are refurbishing some more rooms that are supposed to be lighter and better. We would stay there again if that would be the case. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not recommended"
Our room smelled musty and was very out dated. The bed was hard and consequently we all had a terrible nights sleep. Not to mention the loud speaker updates that came at 3 and 3:30 in the morning informing us that the alarms were false alarms. I choose the hotel because of the price and distance from the strip because we were traveling with children […] but have had better experiences at hotels on the strip. Will not return here again. "All That Glitters Is Not Gold"
The Palms was booked so it was nice to find a room right across the street... I get that it's a casino first, and the rooms are an afterthought, right? The checkin deck is hidden behind the slots. My room was nearly a half mile away (very long hallways if you're at the end). Some of my lights didn't work. My bathroom window was left open, so my room […] was roughly 54 degrees when I entered. The shower took MORE THAN TEN MINUTES to warm up—I'm not exaggerating. The last day I was there, it warmed up more quickly, but, the first two days required planning ahead get a shower in before having to leave to my engagements in town. "Two room changes in 2 night stay"
Reading previous reviews, I was looking forward to a nice and clean room. I walk out of the elevator into the hallway, and the right side and the left side have different carpeting and painting. Left side was bright and cozy and the right side was gloomy and dark. My room was on the RIGHT side. My shower head was broken and it was spraying water all […] over the place. Room change. Second room was on the RIGHT side again and the toilet was broken. Room change. Third room was on the LEFT side. It was a renovated room, and was MUCH better than the other two. This upgraded room was actually DEMANDED by me, rather than the front desk's offering after two failures. In between room changes, I was allowed 30 minutes to do so, and with my 1 and 3 year olds, that wasn't easy. They told me I had to hurry up since I was holding TWO rooms. (I am NOT, since the other room should NOT be rented out right away!) Third room WAS nice, but there was a construction going on! Someone was constantly banging on the wall for hours in the morning. I got NO rest thru my 2 night 3 day stay here at Gold Coast, and can say this was my worst hotel experience ever in Vegas. Stay away until the hotel has been completely remodeled. "Run down cramped and outdated"
Maybe this was a really happening place when it was built in the 1970's but today it leaves a lot to be desired. From the moment we arrived in our third-floor room, which by the way, had a great view of garbage cans outside, we could hear young children running and screaming from the room upstairs. When we asked to change rooms, we were told the hotel […] was sold out. If true, this was because half of the hotel is under construction. Oh, great! Thanks for telling us about that before we booked the room! The casino itself is somewhat claustrophobic. It is very smoky, dingy, kind of creepy. Oh, and by the way, what exactly do you get in exchange for a three dollar a day resort fee? Stay here at your own risk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stay here; Get exercise finding your room."
Elderly people sometimes have difficulty walking. When a room is reserved long in advance, and paid for with no refund due, why not let the guests have a room near the elevators? Creeking bones do not not not appreciate the very long walk down the hall. [] The hallways have a heavy stench, but the room did not stink. [] Like to watch TV prior to slumber? […] The front desk had to be asked for a list of what stations are on which channels. Gee, why not allow guests to have a photocopied list of what channel has which network? [] Last major point: These people have very dim lights near the air conditioner. The a/c and the thermostat both have tiny (in fact, very tiny) lettering on the controls. I had to call the engeneering department to find out how to turn down the a/c. Suggestion: Print the instructions in large, bold letters that can be read by guests at night. Let the guests have the instructions, even laminated, so each guest can sleep comfortably. It is not good to be unable to sleep comfortably. In my case, I saved money and lost sleep. [] At least the engeneering department accepted the suggestion for the large lettering that can be read at night. That department passed the suggestion on to management. Let's see what management has done. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Horrible Hotel for Toddlers"
We were looking to save money on a hotel and I totally regret it. The hotel was old and dirty. I have two toddlers and was very uncomfortable with how gross everything was. The hotel registration desk was not even near the rooms and you had to walk through the casino to get to the parking lot from the hotel. I HATED dragging my kids through the smoky, […] gross casino. I realize they want you to walk through and gamble, but if you are just trying to get to your room, it is a PAIN IN THE BUTT! Even our non-smoking room smelled gross. Next time I will spend more and stay at Trump Tower. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Won't repeat"
Upon check-in the clerk was cordial enough. The room was clean and comfortable. However, during my stay, using casino bars or asking directions, the bartenders/employees didn't want to be bothered or were downright rude. One bartender wouldn't walk 3 feet to tell me how many ounces the red bulls were! I decided they didn't want my business, so I went […] to other casinos to gamble and drink....and I did a lot of it. The buffet was fine. Overall, I will not repeat another stay at this casino based on several bad experiences with unhappy/rude employees. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Poor conditions"
The first night the TV didn't work and had to wait until the next day for repair. The floors were dirty and dusty. The TV had only a few channels for movies, news, or sports. "Not the best stay at the Gold Coast."
We had reserved two rooms with two beds in each room in the non-smoking section of the hotel. When we arrived they only had one room in the non-smoking section with one bed and one in the smoking section with two beds. They told us that just because we reserved a specific type of room that doesn't mean you will get it. The walls were there strictly to block viewing those around you. Every word from neighboring rooms and the hall were heard. While the interior of the hotel is decent, the window was rather stetchy and I laid awake hoping no one would enter. The room itself looked nice and was well furnished. The bed, however, lacked comfort. I would not stay here again […] unless the price is drastically reduced...and even then it would be out of desperation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Gold Coast Las Vegas"
When you walk into the hotel it has that smell that tries to overpower the smoke smell. I hate that. Also, there was no "do not disturb" plaque and not a heavy enough blanket, it was skimpy and I was cold all night. It really is a tacky hotel, but for the money and that it is across from the Palm, makes it sort of worth the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Gold Coast in Las Vegas"
This is an old hotel that needs some maintenance. The beds are uncomfortable. The bathroom weren't perfect, but for the price I would say you have to live with it. I booked 2 rooms and I only got the rooms close to each other in the second floor. The window in the second floor has a wall view. I asked for a change or upgrade and they said they were […] full. The buffet, again, for the price you pay, it is OK. If you want to eat well, go to Rio's buffet, but pay the price. We did not try any other restaurants in the hotel. The casino smells bad. The ventilation system must be old too because it smelled smoke all day long, even though there weren't too much people smoking. In general I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who would expect at least the basic comfort which is a nice night of a sleep. If you just need a place to shower and rest for few hours, this should be fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Easy parking for a casino and outside of Vegas location gets you ahead of traffic"
We wanted to get ahead of the Sunday crowd departing Vegas for LA, so we decided to stay in Primm, where we'd beat the traffic. The receptionist and a guest in line ahead of me almost came to blows, management and security had to be called. As in most casinos, it's a long haul from reception to the room, but in this case it was good because we could […] drive and then park outside our room. "Not Impressed"
TGIF's for room service, seriously? That's a little lame. The lighting in the room is terrible, you can barely see to put makeup on. The temperature control is difficult because in order to get it warm the vents blow so hard it creates a strong wind which then makes it cold again. Even though prices fluctuate, you can still most likely always find a […] similarly priced room at a MUCH nicer establishment that's more conveniently located to everything else on the strip. "Smokey, noisy, went through 6 broken roomkeys"
Gold Coast has an air of 70's decay, and sort of resembles a retirement-home/casino mashup. The gambling floor has a pretty weird smoky/air-freshened odor, but I spent as little time there as possible. The 2nd floor bowling alley (non-smoking) was pretty handy, and not expensive. Our room keys kept failing, which is really inconvenient at 3AM when […] you have to return downstairs for new ones. We went through 6 that failed, and then the door lock failed and the hotel had to "send an engineer" to change the batteries in the lock. Preventative maintenance fail. Room was clean, service was nice, price was decent (compared to The Palms across the street). It's a little far from the Vegas strip, but I didn't care. In all, I'd rather stay somewhere else next time, unless this is the only place available. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
