"Worst experience ever"
We booked rooms there for my daughters wedding. The location was good but the stay was horrible. The house keeping was the worst. We were there 4 nights and not once when we were there did they change the sheets or take out our trash. We called and talked to a manager he said some one would be right up to change the sheets. "Overall pretty good stay"
Good location, clean rooms, nice staff. Very confusing/chaotic/unorganized - but I chalk all that up to the remodeling of the casino/hotel. "Horrible service, horrible rooms!"
We've stayed here before when it was known as the 'Imperial Palace'. Even though it was not the best on the strip, it's proximity to everything else on the trip was extremely desirable. Now, there is no direct access for cars from the strip, there is never any space available in Valet Parking in spite of the resort fee. And, it took us forever to find […] parking space every time we had to take the car out. The check in process took us over an hour. Granted, it was the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend, but there was staff just waiting around for non-existent 7 Star guests!! The rooms were dirty (So much so for the re-model). The check in was horrible. Even though I had a reservation I still had to wait in line to get checked in. Not to mention we got in to town at 12:30am and didn't get our room until 2am. I couldnt believe that it took me an hour and half to get checked in. My children had to sit in the lobby for that period of time watching all of the intoxacated people […] walk by. "Avoid till finished."
Our stay was a disaster. Our first room had carpeting that was a mass of stains. The bathroom cealing was covered in stains or mold ,we couldn't tell which. The second room was barely accesptible. All of the hype about the Imperial Palace be remodeled and renamed The Quad was very misleading. They aren't even close to being remodeled. Construction is going on everywhere except where it needs to be done - THE ROOMS. Checkin is a joke - some people waited in line 2 hours. "If you will be mostly out...."
This hotel is just perfect as the rooms aren't the best. But smack in the middle of the strip and across the street from Caesar's Palace. Room was clean, but obviously not in new condition. "Discomfort outweights the savings"
The registration lines were ridiculous. People were lined up sitting on the floor all the way around the corner, they don't even put chairs there. There is no lobby to speak of because its a hallway and you can hardly get through to get to the casino or room elevators. There was only one main elevator from the rooms to the lobby, the other elevators […] don't even have a button to indicate which floor to take to try to find the lobby so we had no idea where to go. Even if a hotel is going through reconstruction there a a lot of things they could do temporarily to not make it look like such a dump. The walls and carpeting were incredibly filthy. They could hire more people to clean so there wouldn't be trash left in the hallways. It was an embarrasment to have my relatives meet me there. I only went because I figured it was an issue of the reconstruction being a minor hamper but this was entirely another matter, the place is not fit. Sometimes in reviews people think a hotel may get a bad review because people have unrealistic expectations and compare a simple hotel to a fancy one but this is worse than a motel 6 and I've stayed at plenty of those. The hotel is under construction and that's why some places inside are congested. But I can tell that the hotel makes extra effort to compensate it and to meet the need of the guests. Old shabby a bit dirty, old fashined, not very clean, but location is perfect just close to Hotel Paris Cecar Palace and all the good once. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this hotel. The rooms were dirty, toilet seat was broken, and hallways reeked of marijuana smoke, absolutely disgusting! I had to wait 45 minutes in line to check in to a room that smelled of cigarettes (even though it was non-smoking), Loud music played all night so it was impossible to sleep even […] with the doors and windows closed. After asking to get switched to another room because it was so loud, they just put me in another room, which wasn't any different. First and last time at this hotel..never again! "A dump!"
For several reasons, I would never stay there again. First, when we checked in, I was told that we had to pay a resort fee. Although I believe the resort fee at any of these places is a ripoff, I had to pay in order to get a key. However, I asked what that covered and was told that it covered free local phone calls, free in-room wi-fi, and the use of […] the pool next door at Harrah's because the Quad pool is out of service. I didn't need any of this , but I had to pay. When we got to the room, I tried the wi-fi just for fun (I don't need it because I carry my own mobile hot spot), but it sad there was an extra charge. When I checked out, the lady said that we should have been given a code, but they must have forgotten. Even though they agreed that it was their fault, they were willing to refund only 1/2 of the fee. So we paid for wi-fi we didn't need and couldn't use, local phone calls even though we use our cell phone and a pool in another resort. Sorry, I feel ripped off. Also, the room had only one desk lamp in the bedroom area; the floor lamp was broken and leaning against the chair (fortunately, they had disconnected it). Wallpaper in the hall was stripped off in places. There was only one restaurant open in the hotel, (two if you count a tiny coffee shop), even though their signs in the hall and the printed information said there were five. "Great place, prime location"
Check in took about 40 minutes, there was a long line but there was an agent at each computer working very hard. The service we received was excellent. We were advised the only room available at the time we checked in would be close enough that you could hear the loud music from out in the courtyard until 3:30 AM. We took a chance and took that room. […] (we were offered an option to come back in a few hours to see what else was available but we wanted to get settled) Yes, the music was loud & we didn't get much sleep on night 1, however we were able to switch rooms the next day and were satisfied with the new location and happy they accommodated our request. We were in a new room within 1/2 hour. The bed in the 2nd room was very comfortable. The room itself was clean, the bathrooms were fine however it is an older hotel and the carpet throughout the entire building needs to be replaced and it all needs to be painted. I felt the elevator handrails and doors could have used some cleaning each day, The location of this hotel is PRIME if you want to be right in the middle of all the excitement and it is close to everything. That is why we booked it and I understood that renovations are/will be taking place so I expect at some point that will include new carpet and paint. I saw lots of hotel security, I felt safe at all times. Overall, my room was ok. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The walls were dirty. The only real problem i had was the noise that Harrah's live band was playing every night until 3am!! Accomodating staff. Hotel itself was not that clean. The cleaning staff for the rooms though always cleaned our room which was great. Tower 4 is always a challenge to get to, almost like a maze.
