"Long check in line"
The La Quinta is conveniently located, and close to the airport, minus the loud jet noise. The bed was comfortable enough and the room seemed clean, (albeit pretty outdated with a weird round bathtub and low shower head in the bathroom). These, except for the bathroom, are pluses. The reason for my generally lower score is because the walls are paper […] thin and you can hear your neighbors conversations pretty clearly. Also, it took an hour to check in. There was one person working reception and a van load full of guests arrived right before me. I don't think that is typical, but it was my experience. "could use a remodel"
I've stayed at this property before, and it's predictably okay, but nothing to get too excited about. I stayed again due to proximity to the convention center (walkable if the traffic is bad). "Great Last Minuteand short stay...."

"Disappointment"
I was not happy to know that I was stick near rooms that had dogs. The tub was scratched up and had alot of marks in it. The carpet was not clean. The carpet had dark stains all over the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was not prepared for arrival in that the toilet was not flushing, the door stopper was not screwed into the door rolling around on the floor ready to be stepped on and one towel was lacking for the number of guests planning to stay. It took an hour for the toilet to be fixed at 12:15AM and there were no other rooms available to move to. The […] staff and maitenance are very helpful and nice. If you are not looking for a "resort" hotel, then I would consider the La Quinta Inn. My room was fairly priced, neat and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed a single night while attending a conference. The hotel shuttle took me to the conference center--and would have picked me up at the end of the day. I felt a little guilty taking advantage of the service but later took the shuttle to the airport. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was fine--not stellar but very reasonable. All in all, a bargain stay in the Vegas area. Close to the convention center, and the hotel shuttle will get you to the strip and the airport. "Great if you want to avoid casinos"
I chose this hotel based on its location and shuttle service to/from the airport and the convention center. However, I failed to check out the neighborhood. While there's an excellent restaurant across the street, there's no shopping or other good restaurant options within easy walking distance (especially if you've been on the convention center show […] floor all day!). I also found that the info about the shuttle's availability was inconsistent. One desk clerk would say just to call 5-10 min. before I needed a ride to the convention center, but when I did, I was told the shuttle was only running to the convention center once an hour. I ended up having to take a cab to make a meeting. I ran into the same problem when I had to go to the airport. The driver did make a special trip to take me there, though. I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a microwave and fridge, but w/o a car, I had no way to shop for any food. I'll stay at this hotel again, but I'll rent a car next time. "La Quinta - Close to the Las Vegas Strip"
The hotel was overall very nice with many extras that I wouldn't have expected for the reasonable price. Including a pool and hot tub and decent but above average fitness area. "Excellent Off-Strip Hotel for 1st/last day stay w/free airport shuttle, ~$6 taxi to strip."
Room wasn't fancy but was clean. Didn't use but had a pool and outdoor whirlpool. Room HAD whirlpool tub but was old & cracked. Didn't look dirty, but I wasn't tired or achy enough at that moment to use it! People were VERY nice. Airline pilots & others who might need the laundry services on site seemed to like this place from what I gathered as I talked […] with people during breakfast, which was good. Had the usual hard boiled eggs bagels, waffles, toast, cereal & needed fruits & fluids. I was alone and felt quite comfortable. Appreciated the free shuttle to airport with nice driver. Was able to print boarding pass here FREE. $$ at Bally's! I'd definitely go there again, especially as I did this time, for my last night before flying out the next day given its reasonable price--especially on a Friday (for me) & proximity to the strip which meant only a $6.50 cab charge, plus tip. We stay at LaQuinta's in many places. This was an older one and not as fancy as many, but I give it an excellent rating because it definitely met my needs, was CLEAN, & reasonable price for a Friday. You could definitely save your money & stay here and enjoy a show and/or a good meal on the strip with the money you'd save and just pay $20 for a cab (round trip & tips) & get a good morning breakfast to start your day. You can always split your stay and have a couple of days at a luxury place elsewhere & practicality here, especially if you don't plan to stay in the room much or need laundry here.
