Glittering, larger-than-life gambling palaces dominate Las Vegas Boulevard South, better known as The Strip. Here, hotels are destinations unto themselves. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"valet sucks"
The overall stay was great but they dont tell you that if you leave and come back the valet is only for diamond guest only and it dont matter if you stay there or not . It was not full so I had to park at ballys and walk back to my room. Please fix thatGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very AVERAGE"
Room was very average.. no high class or extra thrills.. but price per night wasn't high priced either... If you are on a budget good place to stay..right in the middle of north and south Vegas Blvd... no coffee makers in rooms so bring your own or pay $5 a cup at the coffee shops..or small refrigerators either.. bring a cooler if you want cold beer […] or pop in your room.. "great location, mediocre hotel"
We chose this hotel specifically because of it's location right in the middle of the strip and that aspect was great. We had seen many reviews complaining about the check in process being slow and ignored them - silly us, those reviews were right on. We waited in line for about 45 minutes to check in and the line behind us was ridiculously long and […] this was at 930am. No clue what the problem was. Overall, our stay was fine, we got what we paid for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Unfortunately, there is construction around the hotel that prevents the airport shuttle bus from dropping you off at the hotel. It dropped you off about two blocks away from the hotel. Not convenient when transporting several pieces of luggage or arriving late at night. If I had known about the shuttle bus situation, I would not have booked my stay […] at the Flamingo. #1 my room had wet towels from the previous guest hanging from the shower curtin rod. #2 I went to get a diet pepsi from the vending machine down the hall and swiped my card only to find out it was out of diet pepsi, i pushed the cancel buttom. I then went to another machine around the corner swiped my card and got the soda. When i got home I found […] out that my card was charged $9 on both machines! The hotel said I that has happened before and i had to call Pepsi. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sleepless in Las Vegas"
I stayed 2 weeks in a row, not sure why. Really long lines to check in, there is construction on two different sides of hotel so I was waken up about 5:30 am. Took forever to switch rooms. Was disappointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't Believe for One Second You Have Paid in Full"
Unlike the reservation confirmation you receive from Hotels.com stating you have paid in full, the Flamingo is going to hit you with an eighteen dollar per night resort fee which is not optional. This was never mentioned anywhere in the booking until I checked in at the Flamingo. Shop around, there are better deals when you consider this charge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, but room not clean"
The hotel looks old and dated. The room was fine, but no carpet (only cheap fake wood) and the room had stay hairs all over. The bed made me itch all night like it was full of bed bugs, but I never figured out what was causing it. I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Middle of the strip"
You can't beat the location of the Flamingo. We arrived late due to delayed flight and the line to check in was crazy. They only had 2 people at the main counter and it took forever. The printers didn't work and it was slow service. The room was clean and updated, but the bathroom could use some work. The air conditioner was very loud and would run […] for 30 seconds every 2-3 minutes. This was a bit annoying. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was ok, but the bathroom was atrosous the tile was broken and coming off the wall, the wall paper was peeling and no water presure in shower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay ... but won't stay here again"
First BIG issue was the drop off and pick up location for the airport shuttle bus. It was a lengthy walk with luggage and we were just lucky it wasn't raining because there was no shelter at the stop either. After dragging our luggage through a construction area and through the resort, up stairs because the escalator was not functioning, we were rewarded […] by standing in a check in line for over an hour and a half (yes, this is sarcasm)! And because we arrived prior to the check in time, after standing in line for an hour and half we had to check our bags and come back four hours later to get our room keys. Though this line was shorter, we still waited for at least 30 – 45 minutes. What really irritated me was that on both occasions in the check in line I notice staff standing behind other staff seeming to be doing nothing when there were open check in stations that could have been used to assist other guests arriving. Aside from these things, the rest of the stay was fine. The rooms have been remodeled as stated in other reviews, the view from our room was great, overlooking the pool area. I will however say that the food in the food court is overprices here. We chose to eat elsewhere, and Fremont street definitely has the best prices for food, and cheaper gaming tables. We used the check out option on the television to leave which saved us visiting the horrendous check in/out line again. We will not be staying here for our next trip … period! There was noisy construction outside of our window well into and throughout the night. Also the hotel charged a $20/day "resort fee." This should be disclosed up front at the time of booking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best price on the strip"
Very good price for a hotel on the strip. Other than that, we were not very impressed. The person at check-in messed up and gave us a room with two beds for our honeymoon, which took almost an hour to fix. There were no laundry facilities and the hotel would not allow any food delivery onto the property.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My room"
The room it was not what a show and the picture And to get the one that shows on the picture you had To pay extraGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"watch for hidden charges"
The hotel is centrally located, but thats about all. Parking is miles away from entrance. We arrived after a long ride at 2:00 pm. At check in they told us we have to wait till 4:00pm, but if we pay a $25.00 early check in fee ,there are some rooms ready. The casino is a little run down and awfully loud. the food is overpriced and just average. the […] buffet is lousy. Then when we went to check out they added a 22.00 per day for resort fees charge. when asked, they said it was for pool use and internet use, which niether we used. SO when booking on line make sure you get hidden charges up front. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location but lacked hot water"
bed was comfy but our water was lukewarm. notified desk but it stayed the same. carpets in hallway were coming up. cracks in bathroom counters. pool area was too smallGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old and not very comfortable"
While the location and surrounding neighborhood was good, the rest was not so great. The room was dark, and didn't have a warm cozy feel to it...at all! The bathroom shower and tub was really old and leaking the whole time. Like a raggedy motel. I expected better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was exactly as pictured. hallway carpet a mess. did not like having to pay $25 to check in at 3 vs 4pm as "an early check in fee". Only had 3 people at check in on a saturday afternoon so waited needlessly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was all fine except the tape on the carpets and the uncomfortable pillows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed"
Not the best. The management was dismal, rude and unaccommodating. The room rate was good and the room was nice and clean. There was no fridge, this was disappointing. You pay an $18 a day resort fee but 3 of the pools with water-slides were closed because it was a weekday and not the weekend. My kids were really disappointed and so was I. This alone […] will keep me from ever staying at the Flamingo again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It says that the rooms have been renovated but it seems like only halfway. Bathroom were still dated. Bathroom linens were old and rough. Tissue container was empty. Just not what I had expected.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bathrooms are old and shabyin the fab delux rooms. No hot water on our last day. Water also came out grey and had black stuff come out of the shower head.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap! On the Strip"
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as the rooms have been re vamped. My only disappointment was the bathroom. They had spent time and money on the room but nothing on the bathroom! Also, the TV selection was not up to the usual in hotels. I am also surprised that a paying guest has to pay for internet service at the hotels in Vegas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location but poor service"
We arrived on a Monday, late afternoon. Our shuttle was forced to drop us off down the block due to constryction. The check-in line was super long. We had to wait almost an hour. The hotel overall was very clean. Woke up and went down for coffee but the line was long and there was only one person working. Waited in line for about 30 minutes. The food […] at the hotel restaurants was very good. One night we awoke at 4am to a deafening intercom alarm. It went on for at least 10 minutes with no instuction. We decided that we better get dressed and see what was going on. Elevators were closed so we had to take the stairs and begin walking down 22 flights. The alarm stopped when we reached the 19th floor. We headed back up to our room and tried to go back to sleep. Check out was Friday at 2am. Again it took a very long time. there were only a couple people working the desk. To board our shuttle we had to walk a block down which was a bit scary at 3am. I would rate this hotel high for location and food but low on service and comfort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Middle of Strip"
Its right across from Cesars, Bellagio and Paris casinos. That is a nice touch. However, the room wasn't as updated as said. The bathroom had mold and was in need of some repair. The staff at check in though were vey nice. The Garden Cafe had nice portions for their breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Customers service during check in was horrible. THe Wifi didnt work during the stay. A call was placed but it was not fixed. the ice machine sould not be located.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Too many expensive fees!!"
When checking in the lines are extremely slow. After waiting 45 min to check in I was told that my room was not ready and had to wait another hour. I asked if they could put me on a higher flor and they were able to give me a room right there. Found out that the resort fee includes wifi for one device for a 24 hour period. They charge for refrigerator […] and the overall cost to have wifi, etc. I should of just chose another hotel that was of a higher cost with the extra amenities included. "what has happened to the Flamingo?"
There is graffiti or scratches inside all elevators and parking structure. Carpeting is looking dingy. Don't go too far off the strip, it is not safe. Another couple's car was broken into. Drinks weren't that great in the Sin Brewing Company. Pizza though by the cafe was good. And watch out for the Wyndham carnies. The cafe is OK. Better deal is the […] buffet. I think in general, Bugsy Siegel would be ashamed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
