I took the bus, $5 pass good for 24 hours, to where ever I needed to go. Breakfast with the room was great. The service at Denny's (breakfast) is slow but people are good. Stayed for three nights for a business convention. Negatives: 1. Technically off the strip (about a quarter mile west), so cabs and shuttles cost more. Taking a shuttle from the airport (independent; none of the hotels have their own) cost $7 but took 35 minutes due to waiting for it to fill up and all the stops. A straight cab ride would be about […] twice that but 15 minutes. 2. Walking to the strip (NYNY is the nearest spot) requires walking over an overpass under construction (as of mid-June 2011) with no sidewalk, so you have to cross at light over to the median, then cross back thru traffic (jaywalk) to the grass of NYNY. 3. Air conditioning unit in room had loud fan; may bother some people. (I usually bring a sound machine with me so I didn't need it; and the A/C helped drown out talking from other guests outside.) 4. Each unit has its own entrance so sometimes loud, clueless, inconsiderate (and/or drunk) guests congregate outside on the front balcony at inconvenient hours. Also, you probably won't want to open the curtains since passersby can see into your room. 5. If you have only the fan on and someone is smoking outside, you will smell it in the room. 6. The "casino" is little more than the size of an average basement and the "sports book" is basically a bar counter. (If you're into that sort of thing.) 7. The only hotel restaurant is a small Denny's. 8. Minor: TV has very few channels, no CNBC (for business folks). 9. Pillows were all like balloons (not my preference). I did not get to try the pool. POSITIVES: 1. Hotel is surrounded by In & Out Burger (best in the west, if not the nation) next door, plus Wendy's, McD's and Jack in the Box across the street. I booked this motel because there was a convetion at Madlay Bay. The motel is a ten minute walk to the Excaliber which has a tram to the Bay. The motel caters to truckers and working men. Shower was Ice cold. Never did warm up. They moved me to another room with a smaller bed. Carpeting in both rooms looked old and had deep worn spots. Room served it's purpose for sleep as I was here for work. Would not recommend this place for a family stay.

I decided to go here because it was cheap and a little privacy off of the main strip. However I've been extremely disappointed with one thing in particular. It's currently between 93 and 109 degrees outside depending on time of day. The A/C units are all on timers. This means that you can't have it on when you need it. It's regulated by the management. […] I even asked if I could change it or change rooms because I'm literally sweating in my room. There is no such luck. j'y suis resté une semaine: -hotel situé à 15 min à pied du début du strip (coté sud, hotel du strip le plus proche est excalibur). -attention, milieu du strip à 40 min à pied (tour eiffel ou bellagio) -piscine et jacuzzi ok -4 fast food juste à coté (traverser la rue) -petit dej gratuit et copieux, meme s'il y a nettement mieux sur le strip. -chambre: […] il ya mieux sur le strip, c'est sommaire mais ça reste un hotel américain (grand lit, grande salle de bain etc.).Manque totalement de charme, juste fonctionnel.Néanmoins, si c'est pr économiser de l'argent, hotel qui vaut le coup. -Si c'est pr un wk amoureux,'il y a nettement plus glamour, les environs de l'hotel sont vraiment nuls. Remarque générale: las vegas est une ville dangereuse: ne vous aventurez pas vers le nord après les derniers gds hotels (mirage et venetian). Eviter d'aller vers le stratosphere.Downtown est à éviter, plus au nord, meme les taxis ne s'y rendent pas. Restez sur le strip. Profitez des spectacles le soir (cirque du soleil etc..) Le strip est rapidement visité (une bonne après-midi), c'est comme viositer les chps-elysés, ça reste une avenue... SI vous louez un véhicule, allez absolument voir valley of fire à 1h20 de route au nord est de las vegas ou la vallée de la mort (2h) (tres facile de conduire, rien à voir avec la france), c magique, red rock canyon et hoover dam sont plus banal...ou que vous restiez, bon séjour!
