"Dissapointment"

The rooms look like converted one bedroom apartments without the modern amenities. Tv was from the 1980's, carpet is old and worn. The place does however have a nice exterior with fountains and updated lobby, it's the inside that is deceiving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice place to stay, just very outdated"
Centralized location, easy to travel to local attractions, shopping, restraunts, etc. Pet friendly, which was a bonus for me. Private security on site. Quiet, peaceful very lovely out door area with pool/spa. The pool furniture was falling apart, needed replacing. The actual room was dirty & terribly outdated. The entire living/bedroom carpet was badly […] stained & smelled bad. Air conditioning vents,floor boards, even the top of the blow dryer in the bathroom were heavy with dust. The living room furniture is very out of date, and very worn & uncomfortable. Television sets were old, Especially the one in the bedroom. The balconey area was littered with old cigarette butts, & patio furniture hadn't been cleaned in very long time. Probably should have been cleaned prior to guests arrival. The staff was very friendly, and accomodating. Had unexpected event arise requiring me to stay an extra night, and it wasn't an issue at all. "Outdated Hotel"
We stayed in this hotel for one night while traveling and we were surprised by how outdated the hotel was based on previous people reviews. I usually do not post negative reviews but this hotel made me feel a little uncomfortable. "Very cliquey staff"
I was very shocked to arrive in the middle of the night at the San Juaquin Hotel to find a filthy room without a sleeper sofa, even though they told me ahead of time that there would be. We had to switch rooms. The next room was as filthy as the first. The carpet was so stained that I wouldn't let my children take their shoes off. The bathroom was caked […] with black mold and the calking was peeling up and cracked all over the shower. The bathroom sink had a major leak underneath and there was a ton of black mold under the sink as well. The furniture had stains and fresh white gooey stuff on it.... seriously. The kitchen had a stove, but the burners were broken and not usable. We were so exhausted that we reluctantly went to sleep in that room. The next morning I wasn't able to shower because of the black mold. We had booked this hotel for an entire week, but there was noway that we could stay in that room. I went to the office to request a cleaner room and was treated very poorly by the staff. After viewing several other rooms that were equally as filthy, I ended up being required to upgrade my room, which had a large price tag attached. The upgraded rooms are very nice, but it was gross to us to know that we were still in the same hotel with all of those other filthy rooms. We were treated poorly by the staff for the remainder of our visit. We will never stay at this hotel again, which is too bad because I'm in & out of Fresno on business about every other week.
