"Need service training"

"Wouldn't stay here again"

We have a Housekeeping Associate on until 11pm for any needed services, and they would have been happy to take care of this for you. I am so sorry that we missed cleaning this during the day, and have already spoken to my staff regarding this service failure. I hope that you come back in the future and see that this is not a normal occurrence.
"Close to hospitals"
I thought that it was going to be a really nice place to stay. We walked in and no front desk only 3 little pedestals for a computer with a person behind them. At first it look very classy, but then when you are there for a bit it seemed a bit awkward. To get to the pool you have to walk passed the open Lounge for everyone to see you and that is a long […] walk. The elevators are glass and therefore they can also see you. The rooms did not have hot water for the shower. There was a bottle of water in the room for $3 if you consume it. After tasting the water out of the faucet I now know why they had a bottle in the room. I feel that if it wasn't for the great deal I got I would have went somewhere else. "over priced and below par"
Could not figure the front door to the side door. Location was just plain poor car dealers to the side parking lots to the front and off to the side was the Topeka convention center.Then came the room ac did not work reported it to front desk on the way out to supper came back from later and was told that the ac was repaired in which it was not maintenance […] man said that the ac was weak.So they moved us to a different room that was already occuoied so they moved us to the room next door which was a up grade still over priced.Then was the prices of the food 10.for a burger because there was not any thing close in.Thank God we got the room cheap through Hotel.com a good service. "Surely you could do better for the money?"
The hotel was not very good--NOT a 3 star. Check-in person was really ho-hum and a bit unprofessional. The room was dingy and run down for sure! The A/C was not cool enough. The shower pressure was poor. I would say overpriced and overrated.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Rude check in and no service over the holiday"
The check in lady was RUDE! The room was stuffy, and there were filthy dishes outside of our room. When I called to have them removed, no one ever answered the phone at the desk. There was no cleaning service on Christmas Day or resturant service, so a box lunch of a ham sandwich was provided until 5:30 pm, you were out of luck if you wanted something […] after that. They had NO SHAMPOO packets at the front desk......the fellow down there just said, "Housekeeping didn't leave us any." What, and you cannot find a packet of shampoo in an unused room?? There were so many empty rooms it seems that they could have found some! They did send my husband up with two bars of soap. Soap we had...The other crazy thing was on Christmas morning, they offered a cont. "Hotel of Last Resort"
The only reason you should ever stay in this hotel is if you are going to a conference at the Expo Center. Anywhere else at this price you would get a new room and breakfast included. The room was worn and dirty. The bathroom floor was sticky, it didn't look like the toilet had been cleaned in a while, and the wash cloths and towels were dingy. Furthermore, […] I reserved a non-smoking room with a king bed, and was given a room that had clearly been smoked in with 2 doubles. "Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka, Ks 6/18 to 6/20/10"
I've stayed at this hotel a few times before, so I was disappointed to experience this downgrade in service. My wife and I could smell the odor of bodies on the bed comforter; as though it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. We had to pull it to the foot of the bed to feel like we had a clean place to sleep. Although we left at 8:15 the first morning […] we apparently missed the housekeeping people and our room was not changed or towels replaced that day. A call to the operator resulted in clean towels stacked on the bathroom counter. The wash basin and tub drained slowly so we were showering in dirty water around our feet. There was a young dog left unattended in the next room and it yelped late into the night, keeping us awake after a long day.
