"Very nice at the Colony"
Spent a very pleasant 2 nights at the Colony Palms. Very relaxing atmosphere and beautiful Spanish style decor/design. Quiet for sure and nice walking distance to downtown and very nice restaurants just a couple blocks away. Friendly staff and very clean orderly rooms. Last minute trip. Found hotel on Hotels.com based on good reviews and great price. It was a very classy boutique hotel with a lot of history. Loved the large room and interior. "Excellent atmosphere for relaxation or romance."
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Colony Palms. The atmosphere is very nice for relaxing after a long day of work (the reason I was there) or for a romantic getaway (the reason I'd like to go back). The service overall was very nice and everyone was friendly. They checked on you just enough to make you feel valued as a client but left you to your own […] diversions without interruption, making the hotel a perfect balance of service and restful retreat. My only comment was regarding the restaurant where it appeared upon check-out that they had not accounted properly for my dinner receipt from the night before. Thankfully, I had my receipt ready to show the front desk staff, and they took a copy to hopefully match up the charges from the previous evening, so we'll see if I end up with any extra charges on my credit card. The staff assured me otherwise, but I'm writing this before I have confirmation from my bank. Still, this is a small inconvenience for the wonderful stay I had while at the property.
