I am sorry to say, that I will never stay at a Quality Inn again. When I checked in, I got the key to my room. I went to the room and when I opened the door there was someone else already in that room and it was a MESS!!!!! This hotel is quite old, something from the 70's. "Very close to Palm Springs, but quiet area"
I was worried at first, just because the outside of the buildings look like they need painting, but everything else was fine. The staff are especially nice, rooms very clean, everything is there, the beds are comfortable and the outside pool area is quiet, very clean and sunny areas. Pros: Close to race start. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: Room had a musty smell. Dirty bath towels were left on the floor and no fresh bath towels. Was a very old hotel. Need new pillows.Blankets had cigarette burns in them. Could have used more blankets as was very cold. Tv was old. The hotel was good. They gave a discount for the restaurant (Carrows) for breakfast. The only issue I had was I booked a room with 2 queens for me and my son, but when we checked in they wanted to give us a king bed. Check in staff wasn't beaming and cheery, but friendly enough when we arrived late at night and got us checked in quickly. The room was nice - didn't smell like smoke or cats or anything like that. Everything worked, minus the mini-fridge. But since we didn't need it, it really didn't matter much. They had a pool and a jacuzzi that looked to be nice […] and clean, and some very leathery ladies were sunning themselves, like crocodiles at the shores of the Nile River. The price was much better than some of the nearby surrounding hotels in this area, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is rundown, and needs upgrading both outside and inside. It needs paint on the outside, it is chipping, and the railings on the upper floor have termite damage, and are broken in places. The wallpaper is peeling in the room, the enamel is worn off the tub, and the bed could have been more firm to be comfortable.
