"Hotel experience"
The hotel front desk said that continental breakfast would be provided starting at 6:30 AM. I went to the breakfast room 6:40 AM on March 12 , 2013 and at 6:40 AM on March 13, 2013. We overall enjoyed our stay. The things I did not enjoy had to do with other parties. I would have to complain about the party staying directly above our room was extremely active, and chose to walk about their room at all hours of the day/night. Their floor (our ceiling) was very creaky and it was inconvenient when we were trying to go to sleep. "Price was good"
Our stay was in February 2012, linens were clean, towels fresh, pool and hot tub clean, and staff was pleasant, housekeepers kept the room clean and provided fresh towels each day. Dogs are allowed, and I was pleasantly surprised that they did not disturb us at all with barking or uncleanliness. The only complaint we have is that since breakfast is […] provided in the cost, they need to have someone available to restock items that are out. Many items would be out for anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Not good. The fresh pastries and muffins featured in their directory is not what is served - everything is prepackaged. The waffle maker is a great hit - they just need to keep the batter filled so people can use it. "You Can Do Better"
Very unremarkable in every aspect. Another hotel taken over by foreign owners who try but don't succeed in catering to American tourists. Went to Cape Cod in middle October to avoid the Summer crowd and higher hotel rates. This hotel had reasonable rates but nothing to get excited about. Hotel was basically clean and cleaning staff made up your room […] each day with new towels. Carpeting was circa 1970s both in rooms and hallways. Interior needs upgrading with paint, bathroom fixtures, pictures, and carpeting. Lighting in the room was dim and lighting in the bath was very dim. Breakfast was your typical low grade chain hotel waffle and muffins. Coffee was weak. Desk personnel were related to owner. They were rarely at the desk but would respond after a few rings of the desk bell. They were taking care of their own young children in the back room while trying to run the hotel. Very annoying. Overall the hotel was passable for a place to sleep without getting eaten by bed bugs and fleas but beyond that I can't say much. It's also a little far away from Cape Cod attractions. It's an hour drive to the harbor to take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. About 6 miles to the ferry for Nantucket. About 30 minutes to Sandy Neck Beach. "Suited our purposes, but the beds are very hard"
We stayed at this hotel for two nights attending a wedding in the area and I happen to be pregnant, the beds were very uncomfortable (even for my non-pregnant husband). My ribs were killing me and my husband's arm would fall asleep if he laid on his side. The cost is outrageous, but not for the area. You may want to request a room away from the entrance which happens to be the smoking area if that kind of thing bothers you and you want to have the window open. Upon arrival our check-in was easy and fast for the group, but one we got to our rooms there was a strange musty smell. We had opened up the windows, turned on the AC and left to go to dinner. It was apparent no-one has been in these rooms for quite sometime. It was quiet at night and there are a couple of great little restaurants within walking distance. This location was good with several restaurants in walking distance. We did not use the motel's pools, but having both indoor and outdoor was a good feature. The outdoor pool was not as large as the picture appeared. The rooms are clean, however, the bathroom is way too tiny. I wonder if a 200 ibs guest could fit in the toilet. The pool is way too smaller than the pictures show. The air conditioner was making horrible horning noise and kept me and my husband up for the whole night.
