"The Red Jacket - Room with a view!"
The best, the very best reason to go to the Red Jacket Beach Resort is if you want a place with an ocean AND a river view. It's the perfect spot. You are ON the ocean. Seagulls swoop, waves crash... the sun sets over the water.. The staff work hard to make people happy. We were there just before Halloween and they had the place decked out with cobwebs, […] ghouls, and thoughtful spooky decorations. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was a bit musty smelling so we just opened the sliding doors. The only thing that was a bit of a drag, and which may not be the fault of the management is that some people smoke on their balconies. If you are also on your balcony - you are with their smoke. But, again, perhaps that can't be helped. All in all, we would go there again -it's the best real estate around - the sand is clean, the air is fresh and the water laps and leaps on the rocks.
