"Red Jacket hotel"
Terrible rooms smelled of must and the staff was lazy and service was poor. Not to mention extremely high priced for what you are getting. The beach was rocky and dirty and looks it has not been cleaned in years. The water was full of sea weed as wellGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old smelly MOTEL!"
I can not believe this place receives (any) kind reviews. Maybe expectations for Cape Cod are lower, there really aren't many nice resorts there. If you go here just be prepared for a dark and dated room, a tiny swimming pool packed with kids and surrounded by Grand parents, and a bit of private beach that is not sandy enough and has sea weed clogging […] the waters. We found sand in both beds our first night. Our nighbors arrived late the next night and partied loudly late into the evening. The food was ok, but the dining room is nothing special at all. Go to Cape Cod for the National Sea Shore beaches on the lower Cape, find a good rate at a newer Hotel somewhere close. Oh, did I forget to rant about the traffic and the ugly low rent stores that line the roads there? Ughh!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Red Jacket Beach Resort in Cape Cod"
We had scheduled to be at this hotel for 5 nights. The rooms and surroundings are very clean. The beach offers is large and offers a lot of space to play in the sand. The sand is very coarse and contains a lot of small rocks so it is better to wear shoes. It is very important to note that there are absolutely NO waves on that beach and that the water […] is full of algeas for the first 12 feet. It is just like a lake. Also, we did not like the fact that the main road going to this resort are always very busy. We felt that we were kept hostage and had difficulty going out for dinner. The food was good but a bit too pricy. The main reason for our visit was to let our kids play in the waves. Hotels.com and this hotel were kind enough to let us cancel our reservation after 2 nights. After discussing with other clients, our conclusion is that the price per night that they charge is 2x too expensive for what it is worth. Basically, for the actual price, it should be all inclusive.
