The Westin Washington National Harbor

Overall good stay. No micro wave and refrigerator looked cute but did not work and I couldn't find the temperature adjustment knob as in other 'frigs. I felt uneasy about throwing trash in the trash cans without a trash bag in it, but I assume that's the hotel's problem. The rooms are very nice and quiet. The decor is very high end. The location is great, especially if you're going to an event at National Harbor. I would highly recommend staying there.

Very disappointed. Although checking in was easy, and pets were allowed, there really isn't anyway I would classify this hotel as a 4-star hotel. The refrigerator did not work. There was no room-service menu, and when I did order from room service (evening of arrival and breakfast the next morning), it took 25-30 minutes to get what I ordered. At one […] point, I asked for a bottle-opener and got a corkscrew. My daughter and I ate breakfast on the day we left at Sauciety - horrible. We requested a window seat to look out on the ocean and the boats but was taken to a corner table in the back of the restaurant. Our view was of a dirty floor, smudgy table and cobwebs on the wall. It took 30 minutes for our order to come out and when it did, it was obviously cold and tasteless. The furniture in the dining room was old, scuffed and some of the cushions on the chairs looked like they had been there for years. Our room did not come with a "do not disturb" sign for the door; and, when requesting one, it was never delivered. However, it was obvious that someone came in and made up the bed by just pulling our covers back to the head of the bed. No clean towels, sheets, etc. I'm appalled that Westin allows this hotel to operate in this condition. The only good thing about this hotel was the courtesy and friendliness of the doormen on duty during our stay. They were all kind, helpful and extremely respectful. That, however, does not make this a 4-star hotel (I repeat). There were other hotels in the area that I felt worth checking out if and when I choose to come to this area in the future. Read more

We stayed at the Westin for our evening at the Cirque du Soleil. Check in was a breeze and the room was great! The only negative was no fridge in the room. Overall, the hotel was great, the atmosphere was great! The view of the water was awesome and it was close to all the shops! The restaurant was nice as well.

The hotel is a great hotel, friendly staff, clean, close to Washington DC, right on the harbour where there are restarants, shopping and a beautiful board walk and pier.
